Maths is really not about just memorizing concepts , like in Class IX , there is no derivation for the Heron’s formula in the syllabus but just verification with the contemporary formula . Thank you so much sir for bringing out the concept of mathematics into proof and deriviation , because Maths always starts with a question , and ends with a reason

Here's another method from the derivation for the area of triangle
As we got x=(a^2-b^2+c^2)/2b. Substitute the value in h^2=a^2-x^2
=h^2=a^2-{(a^2-b^2+c^2)/2b}^2
=h^2=a^2-(a^2-b^2+c^2)^2/4b^2
Take the lcm
=h^2={4a^2b^2-(a^2-b^2+c^2)^2}\4b^2
So h=√{4a^2b^2-(a^2-b^2+c^2)^2}\4b^2
h=√{4a^2c^2-(a^2-b^2+c^2)^2}\2b
Substitute h in 1/2×b×h where base=c
=1/2×c×√{4a^2b^2-(a^2-b^2+c^2)^2}\2b
=c×√{4a^2b^2-(a^2-b^2+c^2)^2}\4b (for the triangle a∆b base-c)

No you are the one who doing it wrong. If A² = x²+h² then h² should be a²-x² because after transferring of x² in LHS, it's sign changes into -x² So it will ve -x²+a², can also be written as a²-x²
