Mine got delivered today and I used them on a run earlier. I prefer them to my Airpods, especially when out running. I’m no audiophile so I found the sound to be great for the price
I appreciate the review but the audio quality has been much better for me. No distortion at any volume, solid bass response, and a nice improvements over the Beats X. Vocals and podcasts especially shine. I am using the largest ear tips. The microphone quality is fairly poor however, so that part is accurate IMO.
I "still" got the old Urbeats 2 but now want to upgrade them since I dont like the Sound Signature anymore and the Air 4 need wireless ones (for me) instead of Adapters. Are they more flat than the Urbeats 2? They were pretty upper Bass heavy which drowned the mids and highs and made them a little bit dull sounding. :)
I just got home with these. I use android but had been having issues with other bluetooth headphones. I paired these at work around tons of metal wires etc. Walked about 40 feet and they were still working. walked down stairs not thinking and they were still connected. Paired them to my PC. Wore them to take the dog outside, still worked. I am impressed. about the charging I charged mine in minutes off my phone.
I just bought these in blue to replace my Powerbeats 3 which were my backup earbuds, also I am an AirPods Pro user. When I first heard what they sounded like, I was blown away. I thought because these were $50, the sound quality was gonna be bad but they are surprisingly good. Definitely would recommend to everyone
They do Sound muffled at times But once you add a 3rd party EQ The equalizer A pretty much puts a lot of volume And bass for days its called wavelet equalizer It works really well with beats headphones
I use my BeatsX not so much for music listening, but to listen to podcasts, watch videos, have (video) calls etc. So the overall sound quality is not that important. Although I find them fine. It's just important to find the right size of tips for you. I was considering the Beats Flex, but the microphone quality is concerning. A comparison to other headsets would have been great. Maybe something for a future video?
To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.
I had the original BeatsX, they were comfortable and the sound was more than enough, much better than the airpods, BUT, the battery failed after 8 months and it was unrepairable
Had mine (BeatsX) replaced just before the warranty expired. The replacement lasted just under a year as well. The battery dies less than 1 hour of use. Switched to AirPods since, better buy overall.
I just got a pair for my kid & I like that they have all the features of the AirPods & the price is very good. I’ll get another pair for the wife next week.
@@harishkr1676 I’ve had mine for well over 3 months and haven’t really noticed any change in battery condition! Spring is here and they work awesome on those long fishing days and I feel like they don’t fall out nearly as much as the beatsX they did great on these in my opinion 🤘🏻
I bought a pair of these for myself actually and they’re the best headphones I’ve ever used, the battery life is great sound quality is great and they never fall out of my ears, and they work with smart TVs as well so I can hear my movies and TV shows through these as well and they work with my Nintendo Switch as well, only when it’s docked
Fun fact, the delay on these beats is compensated for within iOS. Resuming playback also rewinds content by a second or two before it starts playing again.
I bought these last week. Had to dish out another $28 for the USB-C adapter. It’s a good quality product, but the bass isn’t as robust as could be. For the price, it’s probably the best in it’s price range and even higher.
Do people not have usb c cables lying around. I’m glad i had some when i had my galaxy and switched over to the iphone. I hate that it still uses the lightning port instead of usb c. My MacBook is all usb c. So the transition would’ve been very easy for me.
EarPods sound great, a robust sound, detailed, good sound stage. Beats Flex sound thin and no bass. At least they aren’t slightly shrill like the outgoing BeatsX which are a little bright. My problems with the EarPods are they loosen up and lose the seal in my ear canal due to the hard slick shell and I don’t like a wire I can’t set down my device. I think it’s cool Beats Flex go to sleep and save the battery when they stick together magnetically.
Great review! I just picked a pair up today. I do like them. The prior earphones I had were the lg retractable earbuds (I’m old) so these are comparable. The beats link up to my iPhone which makes it easy to know if they’re connected. I’m hoping to try out the mic soon. Thanks!
I'm from Brazil, and love the Beats Flex because of the price is 1/4 of airpods (normal version) here in my country and it offers a similar music experience
Well done Miles. Two words: 12 hours. For the price... Not too shabby. It's probably the one thing that I wish the AirPod Pros were better at: battery life. They sound great. Comfortable. The outside noise reduction is pretty darn good. But I'm guessing, especially with the noise reduction, all of that is taking up a lot of battery... For $50, it's pretty hard to not want a pair of these Beats earbuds.
My overall review changed once I bought separate smaller earbud tips. The tips that came with the box aren’t bad but they hurt my ear trying to get them to stay in place. Give this 10/10 A+ … Battery life is awesome I try not to charge over night so they don’t over heat… Sound Quality is 10/10
I like these Beats because of the the cable holding them together. I bought a pair of the wireless beats BUT have lost them. Also the earbuds did not stay in my ear very well either- continually falling out. I think the Beats Flex are worth the money if you have Apple devices.
Ordered these today for me and my dad for the gym. Even tho we both own the AirPods Pro, it's just a hassle to always bring the charging case and put them in and out
These really are solid headphones. They're really well designed and made. The band stays in place on the back of your neck so when using one earbud, the other doesn't start pulling the one in your ear out. Using the flanged tips, they fit me perfectly and comfortably stay in place for hours. They provide great noise isolation without any headache inducing ANC. The battery life is solid at 12 hours. And they work just fine with my Android phone. They have most of the conveniences and comfort of wireless earbuds and they have even better battery life, at least one a single charge. I'd definitely recommend these for people looking for simple, convenient earbuds and are worried about misplacing an Airpod.
They actually are the best I got mine for 30$ refurbished and I throw them everywhere as there sturdy and almost like a consumable product as there only $30 just how earphones should be priced….
I just bought mine today out of necessity. I do a lot of cycling, and I have lost an AirPod on the road on more than one occasion. Given the $249 price, I will sacrifice sound audio quality rather than another $250 for a better audio experience. I use the AirPod Pro and AirPod Max off the bike.
Had these for few months now, battery going hard loud music, last bout 8-9 hours charge is stupid fast, bass not great, if it’s suctioned into your ears good can hear pretty decent bass. At this price point, getting the intuitive functionality with iPhone would be great. But it doesn't sound like the quality will beat the Skullcandy Ink'D+ Wireless (behind the neck) I'm using and loving. Really good mic for calls, long battery life, easy controls, wingtips to secure during gym or runs. So, I'll wait. Thx for the review!
If I want great sound I listen to the records in my record collection using good speakers. If I want good sound on the go I have over ears. I use the flex for running and workouts where I don't want to lose a fumbly TW earbud and just want some "background noise" to entertain me. If someone calls they have to live with the fact that I either won't answer or cut the call short anyway 😁 I got mine off Amazon for 45$

It’s truly a “mah” experience. It does connect well to my Apple TV and iPhone though. But my “HUAWEI free gift headphones “ do so as well. It’s a shame. I would have been happier if these buds produced a bit more volume and slightly better highs... I’ve had Philips and Nbl wired headphones at a 10th of the price that produce better sound.
Interesting, used beats x for sport and it’s Time to exchange them. I think these would be good enough for sports, thanks for the review. Music sounds like Master Ace in the end?
Best review, I got Beats flex, and my only complaints are the sound quality and ear tips. tips are either so small or big and it doesn't feel very comfortable in the ears. The sound quality is not detailed. Highs and lows are not very clear and sound can get easily distorted if you play with equalizer, Bass, Treble. It is really good for watching youtube and listening to podcasts. I love the magnets and functionality, Battery life is very decent but I wish the sound quality was a little bit better. But for this price range, there are not so many options. I heard sony WIC B310 or 400 are good alternatives but I know that those also have some other issues.
Nice review, started using it with my iPhone 11 from past 3 days, extremely happy with the product. I used JBL 120 TWS ear buds before but I feel wired neckbands are more convenient to use 😊. My Beats flex doesn’t show up on my Lenovo Thinkpad, Windows 10. Tried many times so far. Any tips?. Much appreciated..

I haven't even used them yet. I'm just checking out UA-cam on how to know when they're charged etc. Thanks for your video!
The way you describe the sound quality sounds suspiciously like you haven't pushed the ear tips inwards enough. Even for something like the Sennheiser IE800, if you haven't pushed in enough, they will sound crap. The BeatsX, the Flex's predecessor, in my opinion sounds miles better than the AirPods. Although not 'audiophile quality', the sound stage is decently wide enough, and the frequency response is very UNLIKE traditional Beats (bass isn't overpowered and overall pretty balanced). I wouldn't think the Flex, being the successor to the BeatsX, would be too different from that...
@@chan13153 Yes I did. The tips on the Pro model are great, but the bulge in the design is such that the tips do not seal in my ear and so the Pro model falls out more than the regular one.
@@alliejr That sucks because these don’t come close to the convience of airpods. You could give Powerbeats pro a try and there are a bunch of other wireless earbuds not made by apple. I would go with those b4 Beats X. Full wireless is awesome.
I got these from the Apple Store yesterday and they are absolute trash. But I used to have Airpods 2nd generation and one of them stopped working. So I thought I’d try these.
Nice review. Returned my Beats flex after a week of use. Not impressed with sound quality for music at all. Had to do a reset due to problems with it not turning on or syncing. Battery life was the only plus for me. My old wireless JVC's sound and perform much better.

Great video! So methodical...ty for avoiding the fluff!
Are these good for the gym?
if AirPods actually fit in my ears without falling out, I would love them. They don't. So BeatsX ( now Beats Flex) for me.
Have you tried the Pros? Those have different size ear tips so the chances of fitting is much higher. Though they do cost $250
Hi Flossy! I have question when you listen beats flex did you hear distorted noises when you listen to music?
idk what this guy is listening to but I was playing around in my DAW while wearing these and they sound great.
Could anyone tell me, what the LATEST FIRMWARE is for the Beats Flex? Thank You 😊
Are they noise cancellation and do they fit in the ear good where they don’t fall out easily
I got these from the Apple Store yesterday and they are absolute trash. But I used to have Airpods 2nd generation and one of them stopped working. So I thought I’d try these.
Does it support spatial audio?
Do these also use non-replaceable batteries that will die in 2 years like the AirPods?
Nice review. Returned my Beats flex after a week of use. Not impressed with sound quality for music at all. Had to do a reset due to problems with it not turning on or syncing. Battery life was the only plus for me. My old wireless JVC's sound and perform much better.
Are they connected to the iPhone and Apple Watch at the same time, like the AirPods?
yes
I mean the 10 minute charger also depends on how many watts is your charger
Can we use 5W to charge it ??
Can these use wingtips from the beatsX, as that’s a make or break for Gym
Probably
Any chance of you knowing if the BeatsX wings fit onto the Flex?
