I love your content. I worked as a HD mechanic for 26 years on the rock. Mostly 044 and fat trucks but I did work at Madill in Nanaimo for 2 years. Black John Dobrovits was my mentor. I was known as the Buncher King.

Thanks for showing how the trailer is set up. That was an amazing load. We don't get to see those down south.

yes 45-90 is nice, but if you have to do parallel try and get them on the passenger side, cause the operator is exposed on the drivers side... at least on US trucks, we don't have them skookum cages to hide in lol, swingin logs towards the operator is sketchy when all you have to protect you is a sun faded boat seat and luck.
I like that that jeep has a bit of reach the extends as well as the normal dolly reach, probably the bees knees for hauling them super long loads

Good one and anybody can demolish something. Logging must be like dirt moving. I was always happy running the 6-B, 7F and 8H or a pan a load or 2 sometimes. Long time ago but paid the light bill. The 8 was $3.15 an hour. Blessings!

Stuck..........you just gotta give er lmao! Usually ends up that things go bangs inside things that aren't supposed to have bang sounds come from when she is given. Love the red self loader, never seen the flip up squish guard that's pretty trick

Love how you talk about the Canadian logging industry past and present. Wonder how many loads they would make on an old pacific or Hayes log truck. Thank you for the videos.

thank you, Jeep and pole look's pretty complicated... I run a 7 axle tri-drive tridem pole, not as fancy as that but yeah, look's like a really cool set-up.

A tuggy tuggy is better than snap crackle pop in the driveline of the truck. A forward axle drop out for 46,000lb drive axles is 15,000 for a rebuilt and 20,000 for a new one. Fixing driveline isn't cheap. A tridrive with a tridem trailer would have walked out of there, that set up that truck has you can't float on top of soft ground. Yeah poles and house logs have the highest value a nice set of house logs can bring in some coin.

Time for an all wheel drive truck (4x4, yes, but there's more than 4 wheels driving) in those conditions. I bet a Hayes or Pacific would make it through that mud no problem.

you either have full locking diffs or you don't . locking diffs were invented long after hayes and pacific both went out of business so there name sake is not going to make any difference the were well built but no better in traction

Anybody who knows, knows that logging is a addiction. If you love it, you love even the miserable days. It’s a passion, a mindset, a way of life for those of us who do it. At least most of us. As a 4th gen faller it’s also the pride of carrying on a way of life that has been in my family for 100 plus years.
