Do you suggest to use cost per goal bid cap in the initial phase of running adds or do we need any purchase history to run the these kind of adds?
Folks, this is the only intelligent way to run a campaign and scale on any platform.
You know it!
Ole, what is the attribution window you recommend/use?
when you talk about historic data. ( 7:30 +) How much do you need to spend like how much data is enough. I switched from auto to bid caps. And it doesnt spend any budget for like 12 hours. I am running 2 dct's en 1 broad. I dont have any ads inside of broad ad set yet. I take the winners to broad....
Excellent! Thank you!
Bro your videos are just so good,🎉🎉
Superb Content 🌟Bro
Thank you brother
hi, i can't click "Maximize value of conversions". Can you help me please? I would really appreciate it.
You need to track value to do this. Check your setup in events manager 😊
If I use bid cap, can I only use CBO? Because I don’t see a place to set bid cap at the ad set level, only a place to set cost cap
hey - what do you do when you think you've gathered enough data in a certain ad campaign and decided to run bid caps/cost caps?
do you duplicate it - or modify the original campaign?
i'm having a hard time understanding how data is shared - is it shared over all the campaigns or is it restricted to the campaign?
Great question! All data is shared on ad account level but the delivery optimisation happens on ad set level.
That’s why you need 50+ conversion events in 7 day period go get out of learning limited.
Bid cap need lots of consistent data to work. Test it!
Your videos are amazing…. I have a question, Do you recommend start advertising on meta since beginning while the brand is still growing and still have few followers?
Yes! Start small but learn the platform early
Hello, if I am a newbie who has never raised pixels in my niche, I should not start with bid cap right away because it will take a long time for the machine to learn, right? Because when I run it, I don't see any interaction or usage. how much money to use? I don't know if the reason is due to the bid cap set?
You should start with cost per result goal or highest volume/value. Once you’re getting data consistently at scale, you can try switching to bid cap. But be careful to not kill your momentum too early
Why would you need to control budget if the cost cap is on? Isn’t that irrelevant?
Because the inventory may not be enough. I’m selling handmade stuff so I cannot spend a lot in a campaign
Great video. Do you implement this strategy after the algorithm has exited the learning phase?
Yes. But sometimes even before as long as the campaign has some momentum
Can I normally scale how I usually did with the automated rule or will this mess up the algo?
How did you usually do it?
Seems like you're doing this for ecommerce or something. We only do lead gen for local home service companies. Would this work for local small businesses and what goal would you use for that?
I’ve not done this strategy for local. Depends on the audience size but I doubt it would work as well to scale.
Superb insights Ole! Really appreciate it. So as per your video it will work well on retargetting warm audience who have seen my video or interacted with my brand right?
Absolutely! That audience will probably fatigue quickly so keep an eye on your frequency
Excellent!! How do you get the starting number for the bid cap? Afterwards you can iterate to improve that point, but how do you get the initial one? Do you get it from any report?
Thank you!!
What is your approach to exclusions and funnel stage strategy with bid caps? how do you combine campaign? Interests + broad + every single other idea in one bidcap campaign or just separate idea by campaign?
Depends on the account. Sometimes we keep all spending in broad ad set that also includes retargeting
This a great breakdown!
Awesome! Thanks for the feedback
How would you setup a Service ie Insurance?? thanks!!!
Hey! Not sure what you mean?
Thanks
My pleasure
I don't have the option to increase daily budget by and the value conversions option is also greyed out
Reach out to me on IG. Maybe I can help you
thank you so much for sharing this, Ole! Super helpful. We have a brand new ad account for a completely new website. I tried cost controls and bid caps but they just dont seem to be working. would you suggesting starting with lowest cost first?
Glad it helped! Yes try highest volume first as you need some initial data to let the algorithm learn.
@@OleStrandMarketing how much time should we spend for a campaign which is a high performing asset with highest volume strategy to increase the daily budget and to try bid strategy.?
Ad accounts owned by businesses new to Meta Products can choose this option to pay for ads after several weeks of following our policies. Why??
Just a rule meta has to minimise risk of illegal advertising
I'm in the lead gen space, how do you calculate the target bid cap and costcap? I have good amount of data in the ad account where it has been spending on the maximize conversion, CPL hovers in the ranges of $20~$25 per lead. Does that mean I should put costcap at around $25 and bid cap at about $27?
Great work, does this strategy still work now? Recently meta ads have been under performing
Yes! This is a evergreen strategy
*show us your great results with this strategy would help people trust you more, so its not just a theory*
Did you miss it? I shared results in beginning of the video 😊
@@OleStrandMarketing Its a screenshot that can be faked and really just looking at piece of that screen dont tell anything..... would love to see live campaign going over with some blurs to keep privacy. Im saying this cuz there are so many people teaching things they dont use nor seen any results, no mean to disrespect you tho!
@@seank2793 Live campaign? Not sure how that's done but ok
