Lacuna Coil was my daughter’s first concert; she was 10 years old. She was the youngest girl at the concert. She got to meet the band after the show. The entire band shook her hand, signed her concert-t and two of their CD’s.
She's probably been voted "Sexiest woman in metal" more often than anyone else combined, and for good reason. And such a likeable, silly nerd and stupidly good singer at the same time...
I discovered Lacuna Coil through Guitar Hero, that featured their song "Out Truth". I can recommend that one and "Heaven's a Lie" from their early years. Maybe "Layers of Time" from they later songs. The band is from Milan, Italy. Andrea learned to growl just a couple of years ago.
I might add to this recommendation and I would suggest you listen to this LIVE. There is a UA-cam video of them playing this live and you can really see that Cristina is one of the best female singers for rock there is. They don't falter live at all. They are simply amazing.
