This woman doesn't need to growl, screech or scream. She has a beautiful very metal voice. She is the reason I started listening to Lacuna Coil in the first place.
Christina is really special, and is the "icing on the cake" of this great band. Number 4 all time favorite female singer in my list. She's in good company of the likes of Blondie, Stevie Nicks, and Annie Lennox. Good company Indeed ! (and Lena Scissorhands too. She is rapidly rising in my book and is also a very special talented metal singer!)

Sounds like some of the Metalcore stuff from the mid-2000s, when it was actually good :D. They both nailed their roles in this song, and Andrea's vocals really help to showcase how beautiful and powerful Christina's singing is.

I found this man's in the metal section of "on demand music" back in the day and couldn't remember the name of the band since I was 13. I'm 24 now and finally randomly found it while listening to a bunch of different bands.

Well almost all of them are awesome ! My favorite songs from Lacuna Coil are "House of Shame", "Upside Down", "Our Truth" and most of the Delirium album !
It just depends on what kind of song you like, because LC has very different genres over the years. They began as "gothic metal" with "senzafine", "falling", "purify", "heaven's a lie", "swamped". It was my favourite age. Now they're confuse haha and the songs sounds like "metal alternative" or something. If you like "blood, tears and dust", try "ghost in the mist" (the best song of Delirium, in my opinion) "delirium", "take me home", "the house of shame", "ultima ratio" or even "nothing stands in our way".
Wow. Used to listen to LC when in the 2000 era. Now I think i'm a reborn Lacuna Coil fan. When Andrea screams it's almost as if you can hear 5 different voices in his vocals especially from 2:46..... outstanding! Going to have to get this record for sure.
Excellent riff mixed with excellent vocals. Combined with an almost dark sort of music video that just clicks and almost amplifies the song.
Hot DAMN, the growth on Andrea (AND Cri, but ESPECIALLY Andrea!) is OUT of this fucking world. I have been a diehard fan of LC for 20 years. Got me through the worst times of my life and I will forever be grateful. Give us at least 10 more, guys! Please! You got this!!! Fucking love you forever.

This song beginning to end is just a great musical journey with this great band firing on all cylinders. But I think Christina goes above the call with her singing on this song. Rising above the song in an ethereal way that just causes your spine to tingle (at least mine does) and shooting electricity throughout your body. Absolutely LOVE this SONG! LaCuna Coil still kicking ass ! Such a special band, thank you so much !
this guy's doing the screemo shit in his 50's lmao and he's getting BETTER with each album...usually their voice degrades over the years but both of them sound better than ever, and their writing is insane too or whoever is writing this stuff. All around God-Tier band here. Literally my favorite band now.

I saw them my first time in NY last year and was blown away by the bands stage presence and how clear and on point Cristina's vocals are live.
Saw them in 2014 with Sevendust and Cold Chamber. Such energy. I was blown away and after that show, I became a huge Lacuna Coil fan. Till this day I want to see them again and even meet them.

I thought the same thing when I first heard this song. Only let Andrea scream/growl but not the screams like in Trip the Darkness. These screams are perfect for him.

I love when Andrea growls, "Rise..." Just awesome! In that moment, I envision someone long dead rising up out of their grave of darkness (or hell - literal or figurative), regenerating, and then radiating pure light. "Rise...Again..."

During Delirium, he had a great presence with his growls. It was great. He's improved as a vocalist over the years, but his screams are really great honestly. They contrast greatly with Cristina's high vocals. Delirium was one of my favorite albums by them so far.
Delirium is Lacuna Coils best album to date. It is the perfect blend of heaviness, mixed with beautiful melodies, and haunting choruses like this one. This song is incredible.
Rarely with a band that’s already good does everything get better, but the vocals, guitars and drums have all gotten better 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

I also think it's related to the spell Cris mentions in the chorus of the song. Like she's summoning the four elements to cast that spell for immortaly and all that. And Andrea's character seems to offer himself as sacrifice for that ritual/spell/whaterver. I might be wrong, it's just my own interpretation. I also love the way Cristina starts laughing when the fire is mentioned :D
