I like how Oda used the rest of the fights with CP9 for comedy, because he knew Luffy vs. Lucci and the situation with Robin and Spandam was going to be dead serious.

There has been decisions taken by Oda that I don't like, but they fit perfectly within the massively vast lore of the series (even if that lore might occasionally come 5 years later), so even if I don't agree with that turn, it's just a tiny part of a massive living and breathing world that I adore

I really like this about One Piece. The character's traits are not just little quirks that turn on/off. They are truly parts of the character and will also be present in situations where they really don't belong. Yeah Sanji not doing it is annoying here but it also makes his chivalry feel real.

To be fair, Giraffes have super strong back legs. If you get kicked by one it can send you flying several meters away (not to mention the broken bones from the blow). Kaku isn't entirely delusional about his "limitless distructive power" XD
Dude I had the same feeling during the usopp scene, I think it’s either the spongebob episode where they steal sandys fur or dragon ball where mercenary zhao is sleeping like that in the zen garden.

We have breached the Courthouse, now we can begin the fighting
First though, Spandam's elephant is actually a Sword! In the same way Mr. 4's gun Lasso 'ate' a dog fruit, Funkfreed 'ate' the Zou Zou no Mi/Eleph-Eleph Fruit. It was given to Spandam to make up for his weakness. However, we still don't know how inanimate objects 'eat' Devil Fruits, somehow people managed to figure it out
CP9 are not gonna make it easy for them, they reveal that each member has a numbered key on their person, only one will unlock Robin's cuffs - who is being escorted to the gates of justice. This is a threefold situation; to succeed in getting Robin back they have to 1. Stop Robin from going through the gates, 2. Defeat the CP9 member to get the correct key and 3. Obtain the correct key to free Robin...and that doesn't even include the matter of escaping
Also Chimney's out here about to cause chaos in the shadows
Fukurou (Chapapa) draws Franky in the Kitchen, becoming a slugfest. But Franky is weakened by the fact that he's low on his fuel of choice, meaning he can't hit at full strength. Nami draws Kumadori, Sanji has the double edged sword of drawing Kalifa and Zoro crosses Kaku once more, avid to try out his new Devil Fruit powers of...the giraffe! The Ushi Ushi no Mi/Ox-Ox Fruit Model: Giraffe to be exact.
And Sogeking the mighty draws a most fearsome foe...the chicken! Also Jabra who's sleeping behind the key, who is a wolf man - Inu Inu no Mi/Mutt-Mutt Fruit, Model: Wolf. Unfortunately in Sogeking's plan to chain them together, he gets chained to Zoro, meaning now two keys need to be obtained, which is Chopper's mission - find Key Number 2
Luffy on the other hand almost drowns, but he's found by Chimney who has found the correct directions to go, we get the Gear Third tease...but we only see a Tiny Luffy afterwards...
Sanji will never compromise on his beliefs regarding women, which bites him more than it aids him in this instance, but he's not above blocking attacks
Nami's not doing so well either against Kumadori, but Chopper is able to tag her out as she sets her sights on Kalifa, who sets her sights on getting naked...
Chopper's fight also bleeds into Franky's into the kitchen, allowing Chopper to fridge Kumadori and find some cola for Franky. Buuuut we learn that different kinds of fuel affect Franky's personality, Cola is what makes him reckless and Super and able to waste Fukurou

Fun fact. Deja Vu works in a different way compared to what you might think. So, the reason we think we've dreamed/seen the exact thing before is because we had a dream where something similar is happening. It doesn't have to be exactly related. In Ruff's case, he could've had a dream where he or someone else was trying to quietly sneak up on another person. It could be just that. Then when you're awake and see something even vaguely similar, your brain takes the information you're seeing and overlaps it with the little bit of the dream it remembers, creating a false memory of you seeing exactly what's playing out. It's an incredibly weird form of memory association.
looking back at this episode, makes you wonder, if zoro always gets lost, how did he not get lost, was able to face kaku and did not met other cp9 prior to kaku

Well... most of the time an arc start when they arrive on a new island and it end when they leave the island.
Water 7-Enies Lobby are a bit special since even though it’s differents places, it follow one same story, that’s why these arcs are so long : the story doesn’t start and end immediately, there’s a lot of build up and a little aftermaths.
Chopper always was this strong(he used these abilities in Drum Island, Alabasta, and Sky Island), so do Zoro(he constantly comes up with moves, he slashes the air so powerful that the air goes farther and slashes on a distance(like Mihawk Krieg's mother ship, this is how he pushed himself up to the top of the tower where Luffy was), he just got caught off guard in Water 7, Nami(Perfect Clima Tact by Usopp), Luffy(pumping himself up), and Usopp(determined, improved ammunition and Kabuto Slingshot) got stronger.

About Spandam's Funkfreed, the sword who ate an elephant fruit, Lasoo(or however you spell that name), Mr. 4's gun also ate a dog fruit(forgot the model), and now shoots timed-bomb baseball

Anytime Sanji tries to act nice to Robin or Nami after this is completely ruined. He just showed he cares more about keeping an enemy girl from harm than he does his own crewmate (also a girl) from being tortured and killed. They mean nothing special to him, they just happen to be the nearest females around. Every time Spandam hits Robin from here on out, it may as well be Sanji.

Oda doesn't like drawing "Training Arcs", that's why you will rarely see training in One Piece. Since you were confused about Chopper and his Cloven Cross (an attack he used before btw). Oda draws Zoro training, yes, but only because it's part of his character. There are a few training sessions in One Piece later, but those training scenes are important for the story (if they aren't Zorro's). That's the only reason why Oda has drawn them in the first place

Oda just loves to incorporate comedy in the most serious situations, that's just how he is and it's not gonna stop, the first time I watched One Piece I found it annoying and hated it, but on a rewatch I loved every bit of it, so I can understand why you might be a little frustrated, but after few episodes it's gonna be only seriousness and the pay off is so good.

There might be some more filler sprinkled in this arc, I can't remember, but you can tell that it is filler and not canon because they do "Chopperman" gag episodes instead of the show, I also think the arc after this one is complete is also filler, but that is a few weeks away. It is ice themed.

He seems weird (the cp9 hair guy) because he over-acts everything as if he was on stage in Japanese Kabuki theatre. Hair (and paper) is also a synonym for shinto god, but written with different characters, so he is a pun character around those concepts which don't translate well to UK or US audiences.
I loked it up and yes the arc ends with episode 325. More specific the next arc starts after that. So Crunchyroll is quit right. I also don't want to spoil you so I can't get more specific with you.
There's a lengthy post-EL arc back in W7 including some filler episodes, so yeah, 40 episodes sounds about right. Essentially the last CP9 saga episode is 325, then there's a terrible filler arc and after it the canon arc, starting at 337.
I wouldnt called it terrible, it had decent action and story.
