the pacing here is good, and they nearly always hit the emotional moments. the issues arise later on, as they adapt less chapters per episode, but the problems are mostly in combat scenes and overuse of flashbacks and backstories.
Subtle Japanese popular culture reference at 40:09 - Franky being upside with his legs up is quoted as a curse, which is subtle nod towards the Japanese horror film "The Inugami Family", or in the Japanese title "The Curse of the Inugami Family". This film has an iconic scene where a body is stuck upside in a lack, with the legs sticking out directly up similar to Franky.
For someone who seems to dislike fishmen so much you seem to forget one of your favorite side characters is one. What, did you think Tom's super strength, gills, and webbed fingers were all cosmetic?

Most animals in pirate crews that look cute and cuddly get the tiniest bounties. There is a talking polar bear that knows martial arts, yet only has a bounty of either 150 or 500. The World Government always underestimates what they deem as simple pets.
7:40 I remember not being shocked by that at all. I mean it was already established he was a yonko and that his swordsmanship was on level with Mihawk. Him being part of Roger's crew makes total sense.
I’m fully convinced that I will spend the rest of my life chasing the high I got falling in love with One Piece my first time through. That thought haunts me, but it’s okay, because there are so many people I haven’t seen react to One Piece so that I can re-experience it vicariously yet!
I would absolutely agree with the idea that the story grabs you if you are willing to immerse yourself and at that point your only concern is just watching the progression. Its like just wanting to see it keep going and keep giving you the feelings that it always manages to. The direction doesnt seem to matter because Oda is just so god damn good at directing it that everyone just knows it'll be enjoyable regardless.

I DIED when Ruff saw Chopper's bounty 😂😂
The look on everyone's faces when they saw chopper's bounty is always priceless 😂😂😂
Remember that one time when Ruff 100% predicted this moment with Robin and Franky?!?!
I LAUGHED SO HARD WHEN HE PAUSED AND SAW CHOPPER'S BOUNTY HELPPPPPP 😂😂😂😂💀
Ruff...I can't handle you fanboying in the pink Chopper Kimono, its so fucking fantastic, puts a big smile on my face, keep grinding! Ignore the haters, keep going for the lovers! (These are big time info dump episodes, ingest and put them in the memory)
YOSH! (watching you ride the roller coaster amazing)
Ruff sees Chopper and says "F*** off!" with passion. I never noticed that before.
him when he saw chopper’s bounty: i don’t know if i should laugh or cry
"I guess not all the fishmen have to be bad..."
OOF
27:34) That moment when you lost your faith in humanity and realize there's no hope in this world.
Oh man, Ruff is not ready for the rest 200 episodes, and I CANNOT WAIT!!!
About how kokoro afford all the buzz, got to remember that her "son" is the mayor of the city and owner of the biggest shipyard in the grand line they are mad liquid
Also the 200mill went only for the wood, who you think fronted the rest of the bill? My man iceburg financing the strawhats from the background xD
Your reaction to Chopper's bounty is priceless, I laughed so hard bro. One piece is 1 hell of a ride. Keep moving forward it only gets better!
27:36 Priceless. Well, 50 Berries, but still priceless. XD
In case you were wondering in one of the filler episodes this news company paid nami to get her picture in a bathing suit for the supposed news but they actually use it as her wanted poster
Sad fact, Granny Kokoro has actually been drinking, or rather began to drink, after Tom's execution.
the pacing here is good, and they nearly always hit the emotional moments. the issues arise later on, as they adapt less chapters per episode, but the problems are mostly in combat scenes and overuse of flashbacks and backstories.
Never question the ability of kokoro old lady's drinking ability and smoker's smoking abilities in one piece .......
finally 4 ep !
You don't want to skip Sanji's cooking fillers tho, they're so umami good.
For someone who seems to dislike fishmen so much you seem to forget one of your favorite side characters is one.
What, did you think Tom's super strength, gills, and webbed fingers were all cosmetic?
This reaction was fire the whole way like usual but my fav part was the zoom in when ruff saw choppers new bounty 🤣🤣🤣
42:00 and here we see Robin, staring directly at Franky’s junk without a hint of shame
Truly, love at first sight
This man is about to rename himself to LuffSenpai at this rate
I just remembered that in Wii games you could wander the Sunny and put fish in the aquarium. I loved that.
"Shipwright" acquired, franky joins the crew.
Next mission- find a musician
Honestly I'd been considering for a long time to rewatch one piece from the start when you started the one piece reactions, so you provided the perfect opportunity to do it. Thanks for the great reactions and good editing!
Most animals in pirate crews that look cute and cuddly get the tiniest bounties. There is a talking polar bear that knows martial arts, yet only has a bounty of either 150 or 500. The World Government always underestimates what they deem as simple pets.
Sumimasen

I remember not being shocked by that at all. I mean it was already established he was a yonko and that his swordsmanship was on level with Mihawk. Him being part of Roger's crew makes total sense.
One Piece is like a snowball of goodness. Currently it became a gigantic avalanche
*27:40** and this moment Ruff knew he fucked UP*
butt heyy choppers next bounty i sweeear no oneee can compere uffff this level
I cracked my as* when ruffsenpai saw Chopper's bounty aahaha
