I bought a overly used Hanix micro digger several years ago. It comes in real handy to dig out 12 inch water oak stumps and small brush, ditches for water and electric line. Past owner ruined the diesel engine - it got refitted with a red Honda GX340. This senior retiree no longer hand digs.

Those Chinese mini excavators look like those on Amazon. Great for small spots in a yard.

Reminds me of a fortune I got once from a fortune cookie. “When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail”. When all you had was a shovel that thing looks like a Cadillac!!

With the right operator they can be handy, but will fall over at a drop of a hat ,compared to a shovel they don’t get tired lol

You know there good when kubota and cat are taking notice when there sales are being lost to Chinese machines. With a few mods there actually not bad, biggest things is to turn up the pressure and add a counter weight. There’s plenty of attachments too, augers, breakers, tilt buckets, claws.

Is it weird that I enjoy digging holes? Even with just a shovel. I like to see how deep I can go. 😅 Haven't dug a hole in a while, but still seems fun.

You could beat it with a hand shovel for about 4 minutes 😂, for the price those things go for at auction can’t beat them for around the house.

My neighbor bought one to replace his septic drain field. The thing is surprisingly good, he got his field drain done, it took him a solid week to achieve that, but he saved about $8,000 in the process and still has the Hoe. I'm thinking of buying one and modifying it by swapping the pump for a tandem pump, so I can add attachments on the stick like a post hole auger. I got a bunch of fence to build that I think that would be handy.

The H-12 already has the 3rd function plummed up, I actually have a auger and a grading bucket for it also.

@@rslegato Neat, if they spent just a few dollars more and put variable displacement pumps on these they would be pretty awesome.

They can be very dangerous if you're not careful.

got to run one pretty identical to that one, gotta say was not impressed in the slightest but definitely better than a shovel, i think if you added a 500 pound counter weight it would help a lot

I'd buy one, ( I never thought I'd say that ) if the need came my way.
Does it have n oil filter on the engine? If so, I'd change that ever 25 hours or so, and give the whole unit full service as and when required, I think it'd last me quite a while.
I'd like to be able to slow down the engine revs a mite though and like he said, place the fuel tank somewhere away from direct engine heat too.

Tim Gabe seems to have grown a foot and filled out a lot since last you had him on camera. Not a bad little toy . But it would beat a shovel.

They are around $5-6K I believe. They keep going up more in price as people buy them.

This unit cost me $5850, with the upgrade I put on it about 6k, I've got about 30 hours on it. I probably wouldn't recommend running commercially but some people do. Cotontop3 has was my inspiration for me getting it (my wife was not happy) but MAN I've not had a single job with it (just had a child) but I have no regrets. ALOT of units are sold straight from china and average around 3-5k+ auction fees. But I don't have time so that's why I paid the markup. Its a very simple machine to work on, as he explained in the video. I would of loved to show him the auger of grading bucket, But he's a very busy man. Kubota would run around 24k for something the same size.

I own a similar version to that one. Mine has a few extra features. Those machines sure beat a shovel! We use ours in our business for landscaping work and I have fed my chipper with it before. I have a few videos on my channel of it working.
