I love how your explanations/calculations are fast and to the point....thanks!
I have my chem final tomorrow and this video makes Hess's Law make so much more sense! THANK YOU!!
Thank you SO much for this video! I was so lost in class but after this video I understand it now. THANKS!
@Online Tv what
Thank you very very much for uploading this. You’ve got my subscribe. You explained this exponentially more clear than my teacher. I wish you were my teacher!
this was explained really quickly and efficiently! Big thanks!
Thank you. My instructor tried explaining this, went way too advanced, and couldnt finish the problem half way through it... then he gave up and moved on to another topic. Glad I took it upon myself to utilize helpful videos like this to actually learn the material properly.
Tip: watch this video at 0.75x
for regular chemistry level they have to tell you it is at 25 degrees C because remember those values are found experimentally in a lab under certain pressure and temperatures and remember that H=E+PV temperature must be a constant because any change in temperature will dramatically effect pressure and thus changing the volume and that is very important to know because once you get into entropy you need to know or atleast they have to tell you it is at standard formation
thanks, now i can head for my exam without any fear or confusion............................
This video is really helpful, its really useful how you get straight to the equation and make it easy by showing it on the board.
Holy crap!! I am retaking chem 122 and now thanks to you I completely understand this! WOAH. Thank you!
thanx for all the effort you putting into helping us...God bless you
I wish I had a chemistry teacher like you in high school, I would have gotten an A. Thank you very much my lovely siz.
ohh man... this woman thought me in 6 mins, what my teacher attemped to teach in and hour and twenty mins(a full period)... Thannk Youu!
Thank you!! I learned more from you than reading my textbook for hours. Really appreciate it.
My only question is.. Why would you multiply by 2 the whole equation to satisfy the 2S(s) instead of multiplying it by 3 to satisfy the 3O(2)? Why choosing one over the other?
Thanks for the responses.
I believe that it’s because sulfur appears only once in the equation and that’s we prioritize them. Oxygen appears both in the equation that’s why we let it be. We just jumped directly to the product which also appeared once in the two equations given.
Thank you!! I've been using your videos for four years!!!!
She is awesme..i could understnd evrything...thnku so much
I have an exam tomorrow and I am having a hard time solving one of the practice questions similar with this one. Thank you very much!!!
This video helped me with a similar question on my exam. Thank you!
You guys are doing a great job . Thumbs up
Sooo thankful for this vid
Just checking why this is different from the short cut answer.... - Based on the shortcut you showed in previous video -
delta H(total) = sum of delta H (pdt) - sum of delta H (rxt)
= (-) 198 kJ - (-) 594 kJ = (+) 396 kJ
i was having a lot of trouble trying to solve it in my head, but this video totally cleared things up
thanks :)
Thank you so much.......I am very grateful to u....
i understood everything you said i love you
Thank you so much!! You were my breakthrough with this!
Thank you so much for your videos. I'll be reviewing more with you next semester :)
Awesome vids this brightstorm2 has!
Thankyou very muchhh!! is was extremely helpful really!
Brightstorm videos are so helpful,i wish they taught like this in school, thanks anyways:)
Just What I Need For My Assesment Tomorow
Thank you! My chem teacher only glazed over it, and expects us to learn this from the homework, but the explanation in the homework isn't very clear.
This is a great explanation.
Wow I learn so much from these videos! I didn't even know that in chemical equations you are working with moles... I thought you were working with individual atoms!
OOOOOO....MMMMMMMM.......GGGGGGGG. Thank you so much. Every video and example all over the web is crazy complicated and drawn out. Thanks for just getting to the point!
@ShonieShanya Yes; like she said you may be given more; what may happen though is sometimes reactants may cancel eachother out
where did the enthalpy from the equations written in blue come from,or will we be given to find the one we are looking for?
I'm teaching myself this along all of the vocab that comes with it and the process. How do you get the kj? where does it come from and how do I find it?
thank you so so so much. really appreciate it.
SHE IS THE BEST!!!
thank you very much .keep going.
Started Hess's Law at school: 5 months back.
Exam on Hess's Law: 1 month after being taught.
Exam grade: U.
...
Started Hess's Law with brightstorm2: 2 days back.
Exam on Hess's Law: 2 hours after being learned.
Exam grade: A.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I have my A-levels in 2 months. Please marry me until I'm done with my Chemistry exam. Please.
Thank you!Keep it up!
Loved it!!!! thnk you so much!
Both are correct. Hess's Law or Hess' Law. Most prefer Hess's Law because Hess' law implies there are many Hess and the Law belongs to all of them.
/countergrammarnazi'd
I can't like your vids enough... :-P lol... I wish we could like them twice. Great job.
thank you thank you thank you thank you!!
your great as always
Do the Hf values indicate if one compound is more stable than the other at 25degrees C?
Thank you it truly helped
You are a legend!!
My Chemistry teacher speaks to him self and laughs at his own jokes instead of teaching,
YOUR GREAT!
This vid is amazing! Thank you.
Thank you!!
your a hero
THANK YOU SO MUCH
Really good👍. Keep up the good work. 😋
Thanks :) I learnt something.
Thank you
ur awesome! thank u so much!
Thank you so much! Really helped :)
Thank You a lot
How did you get delta H=198kJ for
2 SO3(g) ---> 2SO2(g) + 02(g) ?
nice, it helped me see through the fog.
Thanks homie
God bless you
Thanks it helps
thanks so much
Hess's Law in a nutshell. Thanks!! My text was kind of thin here.
this lady is soo much better than my professor
Beautiful
Thankuuuu so so much
thank you!
Could some get this woman back to 1x speed? LOL Just kidding thanks for the help.
really helpful, but the equation you multiplied by 2 needs a subscript 2 by the Oxygen in order to be balanced :)
it has one
Giovanni Almonte nope it does not it says 2S + 20 -> 2SO2 That is not balanced -.- that would be 2 moles of Sulfur for both sides and 2 moles of Oxygen on one side and 4 on the other... so again she needs a subscript two on the oxygen on the left since it is a gas and is diatomic, however, if you are talking about the equation in blue yup it does have the two subscript I am talking about the equation in green though :)... haha sorry for ranting I just realized you may have been talking about the equation in blue my bad
Kaylee Fitzgerald It has one. Look again.
am I freakin blind the GREEN ONE has no 2 SUBSCRIPT!!! there is only a g in parenthesis!! THE BLUE one does have the 2 subscript the GREEN one does not!!! I have looked at least 5 times... you look again
Kaylee, check at 3:26. She adds it in. I think everyone was right and wrong here. Cheers
Do you always have to alter it for one mole?
Literally so helpful! :D
Thank you mam
I don't even bother looking at my chemistry notes the day before a test, I just watch these videos.
thanks
goooood mam I like it little but you must speak slow because we can not get it easily
Nope she speaks fine you can change your video settings to slow
Brilliant
what if one of the enthalpy change value is not given and we have to calculate...how do we do that?
Why does she ignore the oxygen in the target equation and skip straight to sulfur dioxide?
But elemental sulfur is S8 not just S. ?
This makes things much easier.
thanks more understand than my teacher
Thank you, it helped. :)
Your videos are far superior to Khan Academy and to the point, thank you very much!
Im confuse how come the answer is negative, it should be postive when using the Delta H equation products - reactants ?
-ve adds with -ve will get a -ve answer
Sweet, I did it right in the test :D this video confirms it.
where does the -297 come from?
Thank you! I accidentally clicked on this video and I just let it playing. No regrets!
I'm from Iraq, but i understood this :)
u guys are super cool!!!
its given
YOU JUST SAVED MY ASS!!! THANK YOU SOO MUCH!!!!
shouldn't it be 2 O2 for eq 1? Not trying to be smart or anything, I just want to make sure I understand hahah?
mine too omg!
HELP!!: What will i do if the 2 or more equation is not given?
