    I have a question.In the morning,when the relay turns on and the door opens,after the NC switch stops the motor the current throught the relays inductor will be still flowing unnecessary.

      What is your question?

    • @OffGridCrafts
      @OffGridCrafts  4 роки тому

      you are right, this project with the relays is the simplest i can make. you can use H-bridge with mosfets.
      it work until now !

      @@falehhamd858 good evening too!
      1. The plastics are 3d printed you must print them or make something else like this..
      2. For motor you can find a geared one
      3. it isn't timer but it's a day night sensor with h-bridge (look the diagram it's simple if you know simple electronics)
      This works with 12v battery + solar panel
      "This is just an idea you can make one with the materials you can find"

    It's been almost a year now, how is it doing? Anything go wrong or get loose? Mechanical wise that is. I like the design a lot but am sceptical of the strength to keep predators out. Have you had any issues along those lines? Either way it looks great.

    • @OffGridCrafts
      @OffGridCrafts  4 роки тому +1

      The only issue because of rain was the photo resistor... now I add a photo resistor with some silicone.. no problem with the strength because of the gears..

      @@OffGridCrafts The area I was "worried" about is the cable and roller. Does it slip at all? Did you print it with grooves? TY.

    • @OffGridCrafts
      @OffGridCrafts  4 роки тому +1

      No! If you stretched the wire well it will be ok . There is no grooves... test it and maybe you can find a better way... tell me to know!! You are welcome!!

      @@OffGridCrafts Um, why are you yelling? Did you think I said something wrong?
      I have been testing and looking for a better way to make a door that takes up less space (for smaller coops), that's why I like your setup. Still, like I said before, that was the only part that concerned me. I will be making one like yours but I am going to try a spindle
