    Hey guys! Welcome back to Jon's RC! Today, we got to review and fly the brand new Xfly T-7A Red Hawk 64 EDF Jet PNP from Bitgo Hobby! This jet is about as docile as it comes! The plane is very stable in the air and lands like a dream! The build was super easy and it should take you less than 30 minutes. The build is a combination of screws and CA glue. The wings are held on by four 3 x 10mm screws. The elevators and vertical stabilizers are held on by medium CA glue (not included). Using a 4S 2200mAh LiPo, the plane pitched down slightly but nothing that could not be corrected with some digital trims. Overall, this is fun and stable flier. If you have previously flown 4-channel planes before without any gyro assistance then you should have no issues with this jet.
    Enjoy the video and please subscribe to our channel! Thank you!

    Awesome video as usual Jon & Eric! This jet sounds really good for a 64mm. Your video was able to capture the sound nicely & you provided very nice description & walkthrough of the build process. I am glad you enjoyed this jet. Hope you have many more fun flights with it. It would be nice to see you behind the sticks on this one too Eric.

    Good job ! How long have you been flying ? By chance can you measure the battery area ? Height inside and depth from back of canopy to back wall
    Thanks

    Awesome flight Jon! How does this compare performance wise to the Eflite 64mm F-15?

    • @JonsRC
      @JonsRC  2 роки тому

      Thanks! The 64mm E-flite F-15 is faster and more agile. The T-7A is more beginner friendly and easier to maneuver.

    They chose a nice color scheme. A little high priced for fixed gear and no rudder. Needs two pilots.

    A ec3 connector with fit in an xt60, you don't have to use an adapter.

    Can I fly it as my first RC airplane? Because I never flew and RC plane

    • @JonsRC
      @JonsRC  Рік тому

      There is no flight stabilization on this plane. So, it will be a challenge for new RC pilots. I would suggest getting a plane from Horizon Hobby that has AS3X and SAFE SELECT stabilization as your first plane.

    I fly from a grass field - I have been told that it will hand launch and belly land if you remove the undercarriage - just wanted to ask if you plan to do a video regarding hand Launching of this one ?? - thanks for all the info -

    • @JonsRC
      @JonsRC  2 роки тому

      Hi! Bitgo Hobby released a video of this jet being hand-launched
      ua-cam.com/video/eGdD3Qt9S2Y/v-deo.html
      We only hand-launch if the plane specifically did not come with landing gears or if the plane is a micro. Thanks!

    4s jets are not near as battery thirsty as the larger 6s ones! ive went 2 minutes over my timer on my eflit f-15 eagle and the T-7 and had plenty of battery life left over

    Jon, I gave you a thumbs up but have to say that the noise coming from whatever it was made it so disturbing watching and trying to listen to you narrate the second flight.
    BTW, I appreciate your narration during your flights; I learn so much. Matter of fact I'll stop watching a flight video if there is no narration. Maybe watch9ng a sailplane or glider in flight with soothing background music passes mustard but that's about it for me.

    • @JonsRC
      @JonsRC  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you! Yeah, the background noise is very difficult for us. We share the field with helis, control-line planes and tethered nitro RC cars that go round and round in circles making a ton of noise! We try to get here early enough hoping to get here before they do and sometimes it works but we weren't so lucky this time! I'm happy you and others appreciate the narration! It is actually more difficult than people think it is to narrate while you are flying especially on a maiden flight!
