At long last CW have an integrated bracelet offering in their line up. And it is quite the offering! Interesting choices made regarding the dials/movements/materials. I wonder what the sales mix between steel and titanium will end u pbeing. Ti for me! It makes an all rounder even more comfortable and wearable. Cheers, Jody
Christopher Ward has been knocking them out of the park lately.
Bravo.
Always cheering for CW because of how they deliver so much for the price and how committed they seem to be to improving the brand. It's nice to see they're getting their due. They're moving up as a result of persistence, hard work, and listening to their customers. Glad they ditched the redundant, asymmetric branding on the dial. Keep it up CW!
Wowzers both look premium but can't help but drool over the titanium one as the shade of blue pairs beautifully and the dimensions are hard to beat. Great work CW and Jody!
CW these days are offering watches of the quality Tudor were 6 or 7 years ago when they were still using Sellita & ETA movements. They are also an ecologically friendly company, using 95% sustainable packaging and sponsoring lots of eco projects. Prices capped at 3x production gives the consumer great value, quality of the watches is excellent and they have really really established their own design DNA with the twin flag logo and light catcher case. British design, Swiss made, 60/60 guarantee, a CEO that engages with fans instead of being some faceless conglomerate - I honestly think they are showing everyone else how it’s done, excellent brand.
I was gifted my first ever watch which was CW moonglow (which got me into watches) all because I'm from an enviro science background and at the time CW donated a percentage of purchases to a marine biology cause.
I'm super happy they're still doing it, so I might start to buy more from CW
When Christopher ward ask you to do a review, you know you must be doing something right.
Keep going Jody mate,channel 7 beckons 👍🏻
I bought a CW GMT last year and couldn't be happier with it. It runs great, and for as nice as that model looked online, it's even more gorgeous in person. I can't imagine how nice these must appear in real life.
Saw the CWXII announcement the day before I headed to the Windup Watch Fair in SF, didn't think much of it from the photos on the website. Got to see them in person and pre-ordered on the spot, also picked up the Aquataine GMT after seeing it in person. Photos definitely do not do justice to these watches.
@@P4124D0Xwelcome to the club (:
Love christopher ward and what they're doing
Man, that is one sexy watch! I was considering the Nivada FF but this one just took the cake! It also looks more modern and somehow less heavy than the Tudor Royal.
To me it looks like a very obvious homage to the Czapek and cię antarctique. Hands, markers, dial and crownguards are very similar, but the bracelet is a bit different, as is the bezel. I still like it, looks very cool.
Yup, feels like a rip-off, but I don't care. Can't afford the Czapek, can afford this. Will probably buy the purple.
Thought it was a czapek! A was a big departure from JOMW normal price range 😅
Very nice and good price, sizing is bang on the money. I wish they had picked 6 colours and just allow us to choose between materials and movements
It's literally a Czapek with a PRX bracelet lol
my thoughts exactly.
Sw300 with longer reserve is a very interesting proposition. 56 hours with cosc cert feels like a lot of value for the money. Similar in spec to longine's custom eta movements at lower prices.
Wish the ti models had the dial options from the steel selection. I would gladly pay for an upgraded movement and lighter wearing watch while keeping a more conservative color palette.
Wow, another great piece from CW. They're doing an amazing job. For sure one of my favorite brands because they deliver an incredible quality for the price and with stunning designs.
The white one goes to nr 1 on the buy list, love the dial pattern and thickness under 10mm,if I didnt bought Nereide Aventurine few days ago I would pick it now,but glad its series production so can pick it late Summer☺️Btw titanium is grade 2 only
It feels like a Tissot x Czapek collaboration, that none of the companies know about.🤷♂
But the price is 😂
Haha yah it sorta does
💀
@@currentaf8455 Nah price is really good
Kinda seems like an overpriced imitation and I love CW.
Great video! Thanks so much for the sun shots! I can’t decide whether to go blue or purple for titanium. But I never liked the PRX, I LOVE this though. Dial is absolutely stunning. Can’t wait to pick one up!
I"d love to see the purple dial in the steel watch with the upgraded movement!
the best looking integ bracelet watch for the money hands down! that Ti model with the blue was so vivid...looked like you had a kingfisher on your wrist!
Can we agree the star of the show is the cute little bug that entered the scene at around 4:50?
I've watched this review twice now and I'm pretty much certain I'll be adding one to the collection in the near future. Just can't decide between the beautiful bright steel or the better movement and dial colours of the Ti.
Thanks Jody! 36 mm version expected in September 🎉
how do you know this?
Yeah I really like it. Have to agree with the crown guard niggle (although not enough to put me off), and I’m very sure more colours will follow. 👌
Looks fantastic. CW are incredible. My C60 has blown me away.
I was very close to pulling the trigger on a Direnzo Mondial in purple but this new CW in titanium with the purple dial just gave me something to think about.
That was one of my thoughts, but for the purple being in Ti only a considerable price difference.
I have 2 modials and very happy and like the more contemporary feel. But this is certainly a good offering although a little late to the party.
@@keithlos1497 True, although the COSC movement in the XII goes a bit further to justify the price premium.
These are stunners! And very well showcased here as well, so thanks. But I agree that the choice of bifurcating the collection by case material AND movement is a strange one. I for one would look to steel as the more premium metal. And I question the need for a lower-end movement at all. Just put the SW-300-1 in all of them, charge the higher price and call it a day.
I saw the adverts for these this morning... It looks gorgeous; absolutely love the dials.
Well those are just gorgeous, it's just a pity they're playing it so safe with the steel ones. Hopefully they'll release some more colours soon, I'd love an emerald green option. I might have to pick one of these up as a birthday treat later this year.
Might wait for a pure black - but I was definitely sleeping on the Glacier Blue until I saw you wrist shots. Wow that looks beautiful!
04:47 How many of you noticed a spider? 🕷
Every sponsored video I am fondly reminded of Riker "all hands on deck Captain to the bridge " ❤
This sort of watch isn’t really to my taste but this is a really nice looking take on the integrated bracelet/Genta style watch. That dial is really something special, particularly under macro 😍 The price was a bit more than I was expecting but that’s the way things are going, the cost of everything is up across the board.
Cracking review as always Jody!
I have 'too many' watches and I recently impulse-bought a PRX ... but that purple-dial Ti version is pretty! So glad they're going all-in on the new '+' logo instead of the weird 9 o'clock 'Christopher Ward' text. This and the Bel Canto are very impressive releases.
Agree. Was interested in other offerings but the spelled out name was just too much; the new logo is very nice.
White or glacier? I didn’t like the crown guards but have gotten over that.
Lovely watch as always from CW, shame they didn't use their own SH21 movement in ti version
.
Actually they use new generation movement SW300-01 having longer power saving days. I remember this from an interview of the CEO. Feel free to do the research 😊
I love the look of Christopher Ward watches. Still looking for which will be my first. This makes a solid case for it.
I've been on an integrated bracelet kick since I fell in love with the VC 222. I'm dying to build a NH35 homage but the parts don't exist. In the mean time I've discovered some old Seiko Spirit models that are in the same vein. All that to say that this video is timely!
35mm gold Prx auto that’s released now??
Looking forward to the 37 / 38 mm sizes and and more subtle dials for the Titanium model
There will be a 36mm version but nothing known about 37 38mm so far
I would love to see a side by side comparison with a Nivada Grenchen F77
I would be very interested in a version that had the slimmer chronometer movement in the steel case for a price point under any of the Ti variations. I want both that thinness and light play!
That ice blue is stunning
That TI in purple is gorgeous, really the pick of the bunch. Shame that the steel ones have such safe choices in colour, especially when CW has used colour in really bold ways before.
I'm sure that's so you'll buy the TI 😂
I just ordered the Twelve Ti in Blue with Ti bracelet. I could do without the gradient dial, but i also value the Ti metal, the slimmer case, and the extra energy reserve. I also have the Bel Canto with Ti bracelet on order. I believe that CW is destined to be held in higher regard in the industry.
Yeah I don't like the dial as much. It's too much in my opinion. Looks tacky, but the steel looks amazing and the light play
Awesome offering from CW. Been waiting all morning for this video.
Great review as always. CW is definitely one of the first “more expensive” watch I plan on buying in the future. Their C63 GMT is probably one of my favorite watches.
Love it! Big fan of CW - as I don’t have any integrated bracelet watches, tempting to pick this up :)
4:48 the little spider ❤
I was on the wait list for so long I quit the list and forgot about it, but seeing it again makes me wanting it again.
..... any Ward without the trident on the second hand is a plus ..........
Reminds me of a PRX + Aquis (with the guards). I think the Gerald Genta train has left. The field is getting a bit thick. Two years ago this would have been a yes. Today? I don't think so.
I do agree that I would like the SW300-1 movement in the stainless steel option, I already have a Trident with the SW200 movement and although its good, the winding feel isn't my favorite. Overall, still really love the look and might be getting that white dial one at some point! Great review!
You would spend $500 or so more because of the "winding feel"? You must have plenty of money to burn.
@@heiner71 it's not just the winding feel, but the sw200-1 has been known to have issues with the hand winding mechanism that was improved on the sw300-1, so it's more of something I'm concerned for with longevity. And no I don't have money to burn lol I just want my watch to last longer and 500 over the life of a watch is not a major increase...
Ti on the bracelet for me only problem is which color love ‘em both!
The "raw" part of the bezel is actually sandblasted - 3 finishes on the bezel alone
Grade 2 Titanium watch looks excellent, COSC and a 56 hrs power reserve and that stunning blue dial, definitely on to a winner.
I'm sure that brighter colours and different sizes will be along in due course. Lots of room for sunburst yellow LEs with "The Twelve".😀😀😀
I would for sure by the purple one. So beautiful! I would anyways have also chosen Ti so win win for for me.
Great review, truly enjoy your channel as a fellow watch guy. Been watching Christopher Ward for several years and think I found the first one I'll be purchasing, your review made up my mind. Thanks for the content.
Cheers from Boston Ma
Very very classy! I love especially the handset! I'm not sure about the crownguards. The remind me of the Oris Aquis's. If they had done away with them, I wouldn't miss them either, let me put it that way. My pick of the bunch would be the ice blue stainless steel version.
You may have just cost me a lot of money Jody as I love the purple! I usually like watches in the 36-38mm range with 43 to 45mm lug to lug. I also love the ice blue. I have a small wrist but I think this may actually suit me just fine!
36mm release in September 2023!
I would try one on before you buy, or at least try a 40mm PRX. They would both wear similarly (and that is BIG for 40mm).
@@RATBONES8 wishful thinking?
Unfortunately I kind of agree... The PRX 40mm was rather big on me... So if this is the same, well.... Tissot showed you need a smaller one
@@Mik01ist definitely. There’s also the recent trend of going smaller too
Just bought a gold prx 35 mm and I'm in love. Looks so good with my 22ct wedding rings
The titanium Twelve is suuuuper tempting
That Blue Dial is AMAZING…WOW! ❤
Saw the email this morning when they were released, and immediately the glacier blue, grey, and white variants of the steel caught my eyes.. Not quite sure which I like the most, although that blue titanium is rather gorgeous too
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these, Jody
I'm just not very interested in these anymore. The minimalist integrated bracelet "look" (and not just its textbook definition) has been done to death at this point, so only a watch that captures the ethos that the iconic watches in this niche were able to bring out from the integrated bracelet would get me interested at this point. I know it's a lot to ask - if watch brands could shit Vacherons on command, they probably would have already done it - but I'm sure there's a happy medium there.
But hey, this is the best looking PRX I've ever seen
Wow. What a watch. Would love one of these. For some reason CW has missed my radar. I guess I will jump down the rabbit hole and figure out where to start. Great motivation to start my work day! Another monster vid Jody. Merci!
At 4:48, you have an intruder that came out from behind the first link at the 6 o’clock, took its sweet time touring the table. 🙃
I commented on that, too! Guess CW is still “working out the bugs”! 😂
Lovely watches, my only gripe is I wish they had gone with their normal on the fly adjustable clasp
I am weak for blue dials! So I got the Omega Railmaster Denim! Omg. So many blue colors on that dial
Wasn't expecting a video on a Thursday...nice surprise!
Its kinda funny to hear people talk about prices creeping up ... as if that's really a shock. Its one thing to mention it but another to be shocked. Its a very handsome watch with alot of functionality & long term wearability. While I'm not the biggest butterfly clasp admirer, its not a deal breaker.
Such a nice watch & another great Jody review. Would love to see a (non-fume) purple dial in steel with the upgraded movement! 😎
Looks great but with that integrated bracelet, what is the real lug to lug may I ask? Skinny wrists want to know. I wish they'd have released a salmon/copper stainless steel version. Getting some Zelos x PRX vibes which is cool.
Seriously want to cancel my SH21 Blue Marine pre order for this. What a stunner. I'm just going to be patient, as the watch I'm waiting on is limited edition.
Another option in the integrated bracelet mix. The new nivada grenchen offering is also well worth a look.
A beautiful watch but is it me or does it seem that a lot of CW date's in the date windows don't line up perfectly? This would really bug me.
So glad I have a metric socket that will fit the bezel. This is a first.
OK. So, I just watched the video and am truly impressed by the design and workmanship of these watches. I confess I am a quartz guy because of accuracy, convenience and cost but I would spring for the titanium with the fabulous blue face. The last time I was so impressed with an integrated bracelet was way back in the 80's when I purchased an Ebel wave bracelet watch. I just got back from the grocery store with a handful of high value lotto scratch off cards and if my scratching yields a serious prize I will be ordering one regardless of what my wife says. I will look at her and say, "Oh baby, just one more watch please!" Jody, as usual, great work👍
Hi Jodi,I just received my Yelang watch ,love it for the price only took 6 days for delivery, thanks for your review on it
About two years late to the party. I think the bezel is a little too understated. I'd rather have a Formex Essence 39 instead.
This is an absolutely gorgeous watch. I remember when they were producing quartz models for less than £300 ten years ago. They have come a hell of a long way in that time. I like that they are not producing watches with fake BS heritage ‘Made out of a Spitfire’ nonsense.
agree, trying to sell based on contrived associations as opposed to the inherent merits of the watch becomes tiresome. This Twelve stands on its own.
The Maurice Lacroix Aikon? The Tudor Royal? This CW eats their lunch. Beautiful watch.
Brilliant review Jody! Will definitely be looking to pick one of these up in the next couple of years, beautiful watch!
love how slim it seems and great bracelet- even like the crown guards- little pricey for me but certainly on a wish list- the blue titanium is the one!
Got a 2006 CW mk1 Malvern, bought it for myself when I graduated with my ou degree. Cost me £150 great watch love it.
9/10, would wear.
The bolted-on crown guards seem like an afterthought - a weird choice on an otherwise very clean case design. Price point is a bit up there for Sellita machinery, but smartly chosen, I think, to match the demand to their production capacity. I think it's going to be a huge winner for CW.
Oh heck yes bro! That’s a sweet watch! I would’ve liked stick hands instead of those. I have a CW and really like it. Great quality watches. Thanks for the video Jody!
CW’s website says it’s Grade 2 titanium, not Grade 5.
~I can't help but think 'Aqua Terra' soon as I see those indices~
Love that I bought my CWard when I did I can see the prices going up as the company does nothing but keep cranking out stellar pieces building a great brand. These watches can only go up in value.
Very nice never had a integrated strap watch before like the looks of this
I saw The Twelve on UA-cam just after the model was released and booked a visit to their Offices in Maidenhead to see the watches in the metal. I wasn’t disappointed.
I have a Sub and a Breitling and have looked at lots of expensive beautiful watches, but can honestly say the CW 12 is brilliant quality and value for money and superb on the wrist; especially the stainless steel with its sparkly bracelet.
My only problem choosing one of these colours; I ended up being understated so got with the grey dial. It fits comfortably and was much admired by friends and family.
Ordered mine yesterday steel with the glacial blue dial, now we wait
I'd love the purple titanium for my wife. It's her favourite colour and purple dials are hard to come by. Nice watches.
Damb you Jody! I've been managing to restrict my watch obsession, it's been nearly 1 and half years since I bought myself a new watch, now you show me this CW in titanium! Bugger! £1600 you say! Bugger!!!
Once again, CW reinforces my preference for them as one of my favorite watch companies.
The Aqua Terra called; it wants its hour indices back.
It is taking a lot of will power to not buy the titanium in azure blue. What a beautiful watch. Great macro shots, Jody!
At last they ditched the arrow type hands. Looks good but I would like the bright blue on the steel watch.
I was I terested till I saw the prices. For that top spec money I'll get a baltic tricompax when they drop again in September and be on my way
Great review Jody, been looking out for it!
Wow those are sharp looking! The Ti blue reminds me of a Zelos blue. Now to earn money to get it! Or hunt for coupons.. thanks for the excellent reviews!
Identical case and bracelet to the Zenith defy skyline
Did you know if you polish titanium it gives off a toxic fume? At least where I work it does!
I like the crown guards !!
Oh my. I might need to trade in my sky blue Direnzo Mondial for this! The ice blue and white in SS is subtly sexy!
