In this DIY video i show you what a professional Plastic Welder taught me, how to weld plastic without special tools ! it´s a simple DIY plastic welding method called chemical welding to repair and fix broken plastic without using a soldering iron or instant adhesive With this method you don´t need a Plastic Weling Machine or Plastic Welding Gun, it is a much more effective and durable than repairing using super glue and baking soda and don’t require special tool.
Plastic Welders or Plastic welding machines are expensive but you can solve the problem of broken plastics watching this video called Professional Plastic Welder told me : You Can Repair Broken Plastic Wihout Soldering Iron or Super Glue.
Enjoy this video about how to repair cracked plastic items or tools around the house or workshop. -

just do a simple google translate to understand what different languages comments on YT are writting and or saying.
People need to be doing this more often, rather than filling up landfills with more plastic. An object's life can be extended many times over by these techniques.
Yes 100 % right.
Totally agree, and it won't be long until some plastics are completely banned as we're already seeing this begin in UK (plastic cutlery)
ABS can be welded with acetone, but many plastics are resistant to them. People that use ABS in 3D printing can use acetone to smooth the print lines of a part. Polycarbonate and ABS can be melted with Acetone. There are a few others.
100% correct ! Thnaks for watching !
What about PP and PE?
I think the syringe is polyethylene and resists the action of acetone. PE has to be heat (not chemically) welded with like material. @@kitty4536

Obrigado!
There's no need for a ratio or anything. Add enough acetone to cover the material. When it melts, you can add a little more acetone and thin it out depending on the consistency.

I love it, but WHERE do you get such a heat gun? Or is that just a tube attachment to a standard heat gun?
It´s a heat air station for electronic use.
I loved your work What is acetone and how do I get it?
Thanks ! Acetone is a solvent. main component nail polish remover.
Me gustaría saber. Gracias
