They sound like a mix of 80's hair band and grunge an almost Soundgarden feel to their style. The Pull album had to be the most overlooked underappreciated album of all time. It's a pure Masterpiece. Love this band.
Kip Winger is a musical genius. Reb Beach is one of the best rock guitarists in history. These guys blow the face off of any grunge band that came after them. Thank goodness they had a few great years before Nirvana and Beavis & Butthead came along. They're still making great music, playing , entertaining 30 years after their "peak". Where are those grunge bands now? Really nice, down to Earth guys too. All respect and credit. They're certainly in my Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.
Well, a couple of the grunge bands you disparage are still rocking, and a couple will be in the hall of fame. Look man, Winger is awesome, and so is Soundgarden. Call them grunge if you want, but really Alice in Chains is just another step down the metal highway, and Cantrell is an amazing songwriter and player. Love them all.
They unfortunately will never get into the fraud of a hall of fame (yes, I purposely didn't capitalize it) because they wouldn't know good music if it smacked them in the head. Hell, it's in Cleveland for God's sake!
Agree 100%! Sadly the industry will never give them their due. I was fortunate to see them in ‘93 at a small venue on the beach. The album “Pull” had just been recently released and I knew it already note for note. The musicianship and showmanship during that show was outstanding, and they played every song entirely true to the recording. Kip is a great writer, and when you look up the word “shredder” in the dictionary, there’s a picture there of Reb Beach. Rock on boys!!! 👍🙂
I never have understood all the hate against Kip, the man is an educated musician, and Lars Ulrich was one of the first to throw shit at him, because he made heavy rock, some say hair metal.. Its so ridiculous...
Anne Nau, Same with me! I always loved him back in the 80’s, damn best lookin guy I ever saw. I get on these Winger kicks and fall in love again. Damn talented and Reb too. His looks started to change in the last couple of years, but I still get hot for him❤️
Maybe the MOST underrated. Played with Alice Cooper, sings in perfect pitch while playing both bass and 6 and 12 string accoustic guitars, as well as piano....gets my vote.
Kip and Reb are profoundly talented singers, songwriters, musicians, performers, and instrumentalists, as this video among many others demonstrates. Their body of work over the decades is extraordinary. Long may it continue.
Stripped back and magnificent. Phenomenal musicianship plugged or unplugged. Exceptional songwriting and a whole lotta fun. Dedicated to their family of fans. You guys rock Kip Winger. 💛😊
Needless to say, they both are one of the greatest living musicians on the planet...play several instruments skillfully, sing in perfect pitch and write beautiful and powerful music(song writers). And the chemistry flow between Kip and Reb...Just amazing!
And after that came grunge,nu metal, and whatever trends they wanted to call names..and boredom and frustration took over while bands like winger with a masterpiece album(pull),were dropped...thank god they came back with IV, and continue...🎸🎸🎤🎤🥁🥁🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊
Boredom and Frustration. Your words describe the music movement that came next exactly. Followed by Divas and Boy Bands. Is it too late for the music industry to ever recover? Only as long as people are content to be dumbed down that much.
This is the first rock band that I saw live (1990). They opened for KISS and they were onto greatness. Actually, Winger would have been my second, but Slaughter was shit. So they don’t really count. That surely added into my appreciation of Winger, though.
Ryan Belden, I agree for the most part. Kip (and Reb) still sounds amazing to this day. If you haven't checked out The Cult recently, Ian Astbury still sounds amazing too, if not better than he did in the 80's and 90's. Anyway, I've yet to catch up with Kip and see him perform live. Hoping to in the near future!
It’s very interesting but if you listen to the songs they relate to what’s going on now even though the songs were written in the 90s. Incognito relates to the pandemic… Wearing masks, and being undercover. Having trouble paying the bills… And then who’s the one relates to the political unrest we’ve had going the last five years in the United States. The rebels I relate to the Republicans in the song… Just listen to the words. It really sounds like the political unrest we are going through in our country right now. How prophetic you are Kip! Way ahead of your time!!!
Yes, Kip was absolutely right about his take on what's goin down...YEARS AGO ! Masterpiece or Mastermind? Gotta LOVE WINGER for his band and intuition ! Give me a HELLYEAH !>?
Down incognito...sounded to me about a song about addiction...sexual...drug or otherwise...being incognito...or hiding something from someone to be incognito or not seen
@@hzlrobin3656 "who's in power now?" The same people as were under Trump.. and Obama.. Just because you have an election doesn't mean the rich suddenly give up all their money, power and influence. Reb had an actual sneaker endorsement from Nike. He mentions it briefly in an interview. Can't remember when or where the interview is from. If you look up the Ibanez 1994 catalog you'll see a good picture of the Nike's Reb is wearing.
I looked real quick and Nike makes a model called the Flight Legacy that looks very close. www.zappos.com/p/nike-flight-legacy-white-regency-purple-university-gold/product/9265446/color/857171?US_i_en_j_928671021817_s__e__h_1020618_ii__vi__&zap_placement=&_ivgu=8289367b-8d24-49bb-ad2c-35efd5b72efe
More like 90’s dude. Both of those songs were on the same release Pull. One of my favorites. Tears on Stone was heavy. went and looked Pull was released in 1993
When Reb comes in, you realize how important his backing vox is to the 'Winger sound'. Love it !
Yes! Like Mikey was in Van Halen.

I could not agree more!!! :-)
Pull is one of the best albums from 90's. Totally agree!
one of the few bands that i feel transitioned into the 90s pretty damn well.
Yessir that and white lions mane attraction !!!!
So underrated. These guys should be recognized as being up there with the best.
Kip played bass on a Bob Dylan song, which featured Eric Clapton and Ron Wood. I would say that's up there.
Winger, the best musicians in rock/metal.
Winger is the most under rated band of that era.

I’m on a Winger kick and I’m falling in love and becoming a fan all over again......he’s just f*ckin amazing!

Kip taking the solo on "Who's the One" !! Freaking amazing, and I did not see that coming.
"Took all the pennies I had, threw them in the wishing well...and I wish you well." That line is BRILLIANT and I love it.
Perfection, one of the best acoustic sessions for sure
💚He's still got that beautiful voice going Strong💚
Such an underrated CD. Pull was a 10.
There wasn't a bad song on pull. It's an 11 out of 10.
winger rocks...i dont give a shit what anyone says...
Kip.., one of the most underrated artists.

Just saw him last night in Louisville! He was amazing and his drummer was fantastic!!! Loved it! Small crowd. So up close and personal❤️
Those fucking harmonies my god they are good.
Yep, they are top musicians.

One of the very best songs Winger ever wrote.

My favorite acoustic version of a song ever. Down Incognito sounds so perfect. 🔥
Unreal. One of the best performances of this type I’ve ever seen. Kip and Reb are amazingly talented.
Word up👍
TheTrueFortress love Kip's music😎💜
Solid from start to finish...Reb and Kip are amazing !
Two of my favorite musicians ever. Fantastic humans doing fantastic music. . ❤ 👍
Best underrated band in the world.
hell yeah!

One of the best two-man acoustic jams I’ve seen in a long time! Kip and Reb are timeless! A++
great singer...wow...Pull is a VERY underrated album...RIP Mike Shipley

Misty8 Winger just simply kicks ass tons of talent
Their songs have MEANING and Harmony!!!!!!
Love this song! Reb wearing a Hammerjacks shirt! That place was were I saw so many great shows
Great Version... What a Voice ... One of 80's Best! 💥💥💥💥💥
Absolutely love this! They make a fabulous duo with their harmonies. They’re both very talented musicians.
Kip Winger is one hot tamale!
Great song (Down Incognito). Very underrated!
Wow Kip and Reb sounding awesome here!!!GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!!
Wow...shows the amazing talent of both Kip and Reb and why they work so well together. My favorite band of all time.
Dan King winger kicks ass much better than Metallica
Again amen
Kip and Reb always bring it. Quite simply pure class!!
Outstanding performance by two great high top underrated musicians!
The most amazing voice in hard rock history. Also Reb is perfect, well done.
You guys are awesome!
Kip's voice is so rocking and Reb Beach compliments it with this great guitar skills!
Kip still looks good 😊 nice tune!! 🎸🎶🤘🏻
Kip forever!!!!!♡♡♡
SO GLAD I FOUND THIS VIDEO ! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING !!!! Both incredibly talented in their own right .
WOW! Both songs sounded amazing.
Two members of one of my favorite bands. Such amazing talent.
Love it! Oh, Kip, you're perfection.
Kip & Reb, both of you could come sing & play under my window ANYTIME! Yes... You guys are THAT GOOD....AGAIN. Oh My, My, Oh Hell Yes!!!😀😁🙃🔊🎶👏👍🤸♀️💙💚💛

Great performance of song Who's the one...
What a fantastic voice and Reb kicks ass on guitar!!
He is a guitar God!!!!
I was 20 years old when Pull came out. WTF? Time certainly does fly by...
Truly awesome!
🥀🖤🥀PERFECT PERFORMANCES🥀🖤🥀🤘🎸
Go Reb.
Awesome live performance!
pure perfect!
Both song's are Amazing I love the difference in the way of acoustic version!
I like how he changed a couple words in there so most people don't know what he's really singing about
I would have likes to see a Kip Winger Richie Sambora duet. The voices would have complimented each other.
🥀I love this song and I love acoustic version it's natural but it's brilliant🥀🤘
Great backing vocals from Reb here
He's a good singer, period, actually. I think his solo album(s) is here on You Tube.
Spot on. Its crazy he jumps down from falsetto harmony to an octave unison with Kip on the "Down in cognico" without cracking
Winger is on the top of my list with others like Whitesnake, Foreigner, Iron Maiden, Bad Company, Jeff Beck and Halestorm and heart.
He's not doing backing vocals, he's harmonizing with Kip.
more please!
Kip and Reb = phenomenal
True musicians!!!!!! Great songs!!!! Harmony's!!! And what do people remember them for??? Oh yeah bevis and butthead. Such BS!!!
Great!
Amazing singing on both parts. Love me some Winger....This music never gets old.
Nice. I love these two songs from "Pull".
Great recording. Great versions
More information about this. But happy to discover another good one from WINGER!!
Amazing💕😍
Reb is wearing a Hammerjack's shirt! Cool
🎤 “They paved Hammerjack’s and put up a parking lot” 🎼🥁🎸

Nossa ,amo esse homem
BRAVO!
Kip N Reb~ Dig it~
Não sei como alguém nasceu com tão mal caráter pra dar deslike pra uma obra prima como essa!
hahahaha
né!|
Reb with the classic Hammerjack's shirt
Not many will know, but the one's who do are smiling!
Spent many a night at HammerJacks getting drunk and enjoying all the great bands who came through there.
Love em!

he still sounds the same not like most of the 80s metal scene all were studio musicians and got together and rocked the late 80s and 90s

Hello, it is me.
reb looks so different there. just recognized him because of the pinky finger (right hand)
It`s always on a deck? )))

Yes. Just like Doug Aldridge by the way)))
But Steve Morse even bends notes with left pinky finger :))))))
