I remember when UM finished with a class outside the top 15 and everyone was asking Harbaugh was was wrong and Harbaugh told the media that he was really happy with the class because it was full of players that "they didn't have to convince to be a part of michigan. They wanted to be here." That ended up being the Hutchinson, Sainristill, Moody, Bell and Haskins class. Every school has to understand their identity and marry their program to the spirit of the school. UM has always and always will be that weird, brainy and different school up north. Harbaugh eventually embraced it and our current staff understands it and embraces it as well.
Our recruiting should and will reflect that. UM will probably never recruit in the same manner as OSU, Oregon and Georgia and that is ok. I am thrilled that Moore and company have shown a willingness to go big fish hunting in a way that Harbaugh really stopped doing after the disaster that was the 2016 and 2017 recruiting classes. I am more thrilled however, that there is a clear goal and quality of recruit that UM is pursuing and not simply chasing high ranking recruits. So far, Moore has exceeded my expectations in his approach and plans as the head coach. As long as the wins follow on the field UM is setting up to be in the drivers seat for the next 10 years and not playing catch up. That certainly was not the case for the past 20 years.
Pay Babalioa the NIL money. He is a huge priority. One of the 2 linebackers are a must also

This will be my second year betting on college games, more of a pro gambler. Love this channel & other programs that are like this for college program information.
Michigan was popular AF in the 80s, 90s & early 00s in NYC- they were always on TV here & I’ve always seen Michigan gear in all 5 boroughs. Their comeback has been like a melting glacier & I’ve alway been confused why a university that’s richer than SEC schools not named Texas or A&M let themselves get bullied with finance by smaller universities. If they wanted to they can buy Ohio state three times over. They are so behind the times and slow to modernize. It’s like they don’t really want to win in any sports. Just listening to this take makes it seem like they’re Syracuse- trying to play with the big boys when Michigan has always been the biggest bully on the block when it comes to wealth. Use the pocket change in your 15 billion in endowment to invest in your program, it’s a guaranteed multi million $$$ return in investment. The SEC are like community colleges compared to Michigan but they sure know how to move money around behind the scenes to get 5s unlike Michigan. That’s sad for an intellectually superior university that produces Wall Street douche bags every graduation.

Okay, I'm officially concerned about UM recruiting. After a great June, our July has gotten off to a horrible start. Yes, we gained Holly who's a nice player. But just in the past few days, we've lost Roy to OSU, Watts to Wiscy, Archie to Rutgers, and Jones to the Aggies. On top of that, Earl's is trending to Georgia and Tazz to Penn State. This negative trend does not bode well for us landing Babalola away from Stanford! No offense, but losing guys to the Buckeyes and Aggies is one thing because they both have endless NIL $$$ at their disposal. But losing guys to Wisconsin, Rutgers, Penn State and possibly Stanford is unacceptable. Those 4 are inferior programs! Our UM beat writers and insiders need to do a better job digging in on these losses. Guys like Webb, Holland and others have been completely off their game and predictions with these previously mentioned prospects. And we just lost Blair to ND!!! So, the misses keep piling up! UM shouldn't need big recruiting weekends to get commitments! None of the other schools do??? All that said, here are some guys I expect us to land while there are others who we're in on:

My predictions are we land Marsh, Olesh, Wright, Boateng, and J-Sanders from that group. That should bolt our class into the top 12 for sure. But keeping it in tact will be tough between now and signing day! I also predict UM will have to reset the board at OLine, DLine, LB, CB and Safety to possibly add any late risers at those positions before season's end because our numbers/depth is worrisome at those positions right now.
You need to chill. UM is landing all of the players they need to and should outside of Watts and Roy. UM was never the perceived favorite or leader for all of the guys that have committed. UM will never land all of the players they want to because that's how recruiting works. Ohio St has recently gone on a run of missing out on like 5 guys that they were heavily involved with. It happens. UM will not land all of the players you have mentioned on your list either. The only time you need to be really concerned about UM recruiting is if you start to see players back out of their commitments and players start eliminating UM from consideration early. Other than that, the list of players that UM leads for currently is really good and once a lot of these recruitments play out UM will definitely reset their boards and look to find some late additions to the class.
Also, taking shots at Sam Webb and EJ Holland is cheap. Insiders get stuff wrong but they aren't hacks. UM is blessed to have some of the better insiders in the business even if the news they break isn't always the one you want to hear.
There needs to be some accountability for EJ and Sam when they're wrong! Everyone else in life at regular jobs is accountable and should be. But we Michigan fans give these guys a free pass because there's nobody else doing it. I'm tired of being strung along by these guys only to be disappointed. Holland projected Marquise Davis to Michigan for weeks only to have him spurn Michigan for Kentucky. Where was the Intel from EJ about why he chose KY over the Wolverines? No where! He was silent. Why? Because there was no accountability. They should find out why guys that Michigan is missing on are choosing other schools. That's part of their job!
