Absolutely OBSESSED with your channel! So glad I stumbled upon it when I was searching how to learn to detail. I can't get enough, I keep wanting to learn more! I'm excited to put what I'm learning into practice with my own car (:
Absolutely love this channel. I don't have a nice car, but I've got a nice loaded '14 Tundra. The information I've learned here has helped me keep the truck essentially like new over the past 18,000 miles. This page has helped me enjoy taking care of my vehicle and helped me do it well. I love the time I take detailing it.
Loved the video Larry, I just straight up love this channel. So much information and the best part is its all correct information, same cannot be said for so many other detailer channels. Keep the good work coming its much appreciated.
awesome video I always struggle with this or at least is one of my least favorite things to do, but all in the details it makes the car look better....thanks for the video!
Very very good video! Perfect mix of FUN and INFORMATION. You guys are great! I am from Brazil, but really want to visit your place sometime. Good work!
Detail my car bro. 1976 Chevy Malibu classic. Very rare. Super good condition. Just needs your touch. I'd pay. Plus you can grab the attention of guys with older cars. Only thing is I'm in nor California. Let's make it happen brother. Your the best I've seen

Hey Larry if you get the chance can you cover old muscle cars. My son loves Dodge Chargers between '66 and '71. Thanks for all of your videos Larry you are the best!
I'm thinking fab some tips for those Sonicare type brushes and give it a shot. Might work (or complete mayhem) for those such as myself without air source.
Aww, you were ten minutes away from me and I missed you! Bugger... Awesome video though! Thanks for posting that! I feel slightly better about how I go about these things now. :]
Hello that's looks beautiful and I have a question about a emblem I got today and it's 1964 F100 Hood Emblem and it has the swirls on it and dirty like Is there a way to clean that up and make it look shining again. Thank you.
FYI, I found that Maquiars Paint Protectant is especially good on and around emblems, especially those with cavities where the paint is exposed. It doesn't build up around the edges or turn white on the black borders, doesn't need rubbing off to shine.like wax does. It's annoying when emblems are applied with a cavity around their edges that can trap and hold grime. I use a wider 3M exterior mounting tape rather than auto trim tape, and trim it to reach the outer edges of the emblem. This tape is easier to remove later, and the grey color works well with many paint colors. For other colors, a permanent black marker before application easily stains the tape edge. (Emblems applied 10 years ago show no signs of the black fading.) I suspect that other colors of paint markers would work as well. I'm not into perfection detailling, so any product that can help me keep my daily drive look clean and neat without a lot of effort is always welcome. I use Maguiars product for evertning except exterior rubber and plastic trim, where 303 does a good job of preserving exterior surface appearance (i dont like glossy rubber) and protection from UV degradation without a freauent reapplication. APplying MPP to the roof of my tall Honda Element twice a year takes a tiny fraction of the time waxing would, and costs less. When you need to stand in a ladder and stretch to wax a vehicle's roof, MPP really shines! I'm not completely sold on MPPs effectiveness on areas that get a lot of high velocity debris exposure, such as the facia and the fenders behind the wheel wells, but am open minded enough that I'm testing it on on the right side against Gold Class on the left for the next 3 months.
Hi Larry. I see the in the emblems technique but What about the emblems themselves? My corvette emblems, is it going to far to do a finishing polish, sealant and wax? Just curious thanks!!
Hey Larry, what is the difference between polishing and waxing? Have u already explained in a video, when to do one or the other. Or are they done everytime?
I would pay the guy with the German accent lots of money just to walk around and point out my detailing mistakes and teach me how to correct them with his awesome accent!
Hello, Does anyone know where i can find that air hose with the protected fittings? By the way thanks Larry! a few ammo videos and my passion for detailing is back
Hey Larry, What if my actual badges look dull or heavily tarnished? Would using polish and a microfiber be enough? or would I have to do something like wetsand with a really high grit paper? The car is a 1999 Audi A4, not 100% sure if the badges are plastic or metal, but given what Audi charges for them and how they have tarnished, I led to believe they are metallic.
This was a Rupes TA50 Mini Random Orbital Sander used? Also would anyone know what the minimum compressor (CFM) size would be to use this little machine?
I couldn't do long-term filth with a soft brush or any other technique mentioned here:( I got far cutting a polishing pad in half and using the pointy tip though
Well, car emblems scratch fast.. I don't know how, because I washed my new car only once and I did that with precision, very careful: rinsing, two bucket system, good shampoo which don't strip the painting, etc etc. After i dried the car, I used quick detailer on some parts, after that I buffed it off with the same cloth (cloth was clean, bought it new, and also washed it before use). So after that, I was very happy with the result but also concluded the small scratches on to the car emblem (rear side). How is that possible? Is there a simple explanation for it?
You keep adding more and more product when product buildup is the problem in the 1st place. I would use a wet toothbrush while washing the car, and a dry toothbrush after waxing to get rid of caked in wax. That 1" polishing brush is great, but only if the area has been neglected and has the halo of haze around it.
That's great, but for future reference instead of using a '14/'15 model year car get the old car to prove to your audience it's worth the time or like most they will just replace them. just my opinion
You guys are over-thinking how to remove that dried buildup from the emblems... Just use a soft-bristled toothbrush. It probably works 99.9% of the time.
Don't over think it just wet it again with spray detailer or the same wax you used in the first place. and lightly scrub it in with an old tooth brush use two one to scrub and one to finish use a rag and wipe done this for years on cars and motorcycles . cheap don't need ten different brushes
Larry - comparing this to your old videos, you've gotten ripped! Good job, excellent video as always!

You should make a video of an entire detailing process. No cuts, edits, or talking (not that I mind you talking). That would be awesome!!

Everyday Life Reviews 72 yes, he is with Rupes now.
I bet carrying all those heavy buckets around is way easier now huh Larry : ) #DetailedGains
What about cleaning gold plated emblems?

You were in Irvine uhhh I live less than 30 mins from it.
I always tape off my brushes. Good to know i am doing it right.
This is why i remove the mexi-chrome badges, not only are they hideous this video proves they make detailing the car a pain in the ass.
best laughs of the day
That's great, but for future reference instead of using a '14/'15 model year car get the old car to prove to your audience it's worth the time

Take those of permanately!!
Sorry, sir. I had to order a replacement emblem from the dealership, which adds another $127 to your invoice. Thanks for your business.
Don't over think it just wet it again with spray detailer or the same wax you used in the first place. and lightly scrub it in with an old tooth brush use two one to scrub and one to finish use a rag and wipe done this for years on cars and motorcycles . cheap don't need ten different brushes
show a vehicle with severe oxidation in between the letters
on the next episode...How to clean your car's keyhole.
