For my final adventure in Dubai, I linked back up with my boy Luca Gallone for a one-of-a-kind food experience you can’t get anywhere else! Come with me as I eat at the world’s highest restaurant with Luca Gallone in Dubai, UAE!!
For this food adventure, we’d be heading to the iconic Burj Khalifa. At 2,722 feet in height, it’s the tallest building in the world! Construction began in 2004 and it opened in 2010.

I’d be heading inside the Burj Khalifa with my friend Luca Gallone, who is arguably the most famous and most-followed magician in the world! The restaurant was on the 122nd floor but wasn’t open yet, so we’d head up to the At the Top observation deck!
The observation deck is on the 124th and 125th floor. It takes 60 seconds to take the elevator up. They put on a light show in the elevator while you ride it up!
From the outdoor deck on the 124th floor, I got amazing views of the Dubai Mall, downtown Dubai, lots of supertall buildings, and even the desert beyond the city!
Then, we headed up to the indoor deck on the 125th floor. The views there were even better! Next, we headed back down to the Armani hotel and rode the elevator up to Atmosphere Restaurant on the 122nd floor.
The bar was incredible and the views are spectacular. I could see Dubai Marina, Old Dubai, and more. The lounge is beautiful. Then, we saw the actual restaurant.
Luca and I started with some amazing champagne. Then, they brought Luca an elaborate drink called the Naia (rose champagne with berries coated in 24-karat gold), and me a fruity drink containing passionfruit!
Then, Eke took us into the kitchen, where we saw them preparing A5 Wagyu beef, lobster, sea bass, king crab, shrimp, and more.
Then, Eke seared the A5 and cooked it in butter. Then, he also pan-fried some sea bass, salmon, lobster, and scallops. We were amazed by Eke’s knowledge. He knew where every piece of food came from. The plating was stunning!
At our table, we had a burrata starter with strawberries and cream, a seafood platter, potatoes, and scallops with caviar. The scallops infused with the butter were unreal. I loved using the potatoes to mop up the butter!
The burrata wasn’t a dessert but was delicious. The seafood platter contained tons of seafood over rice. The prawns were massive and super meaty and succulent.
There were also some amazing mussels and clams. The crab meat came right out of the legs! This was some of the best seafood I’ve ever had! I also loved the paella-like rice. The sea bass was also very nice and fresh, and the salmon was meaty and full of flavor!
The buttery, meaty lobster tail blew my mind! Then, they brought out the Japanese A5 Wagyu beef! I had the tenderloin, while Luca had the ribeye. They both came covered in truffles and with truffle mashed potatoes. The waitress drizzled beef sauce over them both!
Mine was so tender and melted in my mouth! The mashed potatoes were exceptional. It was a little sweet and so mouthwatering!
Finally, it was time for dessert! I had a chocolate ball with passionfruit ice cream, almonds, and coffee flavor. Luca had the Extravaganza and raspberry cheesecake. They were outstanding!
Finally, we finished with a rich and decadent gold cappuccino! It’s the most expensive coffee in the world! It has gold foil on top and a caramel wafer you melt inside it. It costs about $45 USD!
Then, I saw their bathroom and their vintage alcohols, including one that costs $6,000 per shot!

Hey David, great video man. I just got in Dubai and am gonna go check out the burj Khalifa. BTW I just got a Sony A7IV and noticed the lights flickering like that too, and it was driving me MAD. I noticed that if you set the shutter speed to 1/50 or 1/100 doesn't have the problem, but when you leave it on auto shutter it tends to pick a shutter speed that creates this light flickering. It was driving me MAD, and I thought I had a defective camera... :D

Sometimes you should respect where you are and not just do whatever you want. This restaurant is white linen dining, it’s not a competition nor a street vendor in Bangkok.
My perfect experience would be if charming Luca could eat with his mouth closed, and sweet, kind David could learn to properly hold his flatware. He holds it like it’s his prisoner…
I do hear myself, before anyone @‘s me - It’s just very tough out in the wild when your parents are so exacting when you are a child learning to eat at the table. My mother was rigid about abiding perfect table manners, which has basically turned every one of my siblings and me into completely neurotic lunatics.

These two look like they just got out of jail in the way they ate the pot of seafood, they did not have the slightest etiquette to eat in a place like this, I have been several times in the Atmosphere restaurant in Dubai, no need to use your hands to eat that pot of seafood, the guy from the UK, he should have that cloth napkin on his lap not dirty like he had on the table, In the United States, the vast majority of Americans have the bad habit of sucking their fingers when they eat in a restaurant like this or when they go to a buffet, another bad habit that they have is that they use that same cloth napkin to remove the snot from their nose, they don't care at all about the noise they make when they do something as disgusting as that and much less care about the other people who are eating next to them, another bad habit they have is to laugh at the top of their lungs regardless of the annoyance they cause, they always act in a good restaurant as if it were a bar or a Mexican Cantina, In restaurants like that one must have a lot of discretion in the volume of your voice in a conversation and how you laugh.
OmG I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT WAS THINKING EVERYTHING YOU JUST SAID!!! I’m so glad I’m not the only one. The whole video was wrecked at different moments watching them tear through the seafood dish, not placing napkins, shouting at random times… holding flatware like it’s a prisoner…. Dear Lord, my mother would have a brain bleed.
David, you have to appreciate any and every country you are in and show them the dignity they deserve for having you in their home. It’s just not respectful to show up to a restaurant like this where everyone else is paying for a quiet, classy, dignified affair/meal. You sat at one of the best tables, dressed for a day at the soccer stadium and it’s just not a good look.
Would you go and start munching down on a steak somewhere in India where cows are sacred? Have a fat slab of chicharons in a Muslim country? Part of your travel experience is learning the local customs and respectful manners are part of that. You can do better.

Ok, this was almost awesome to watch - but utterly ruined by Luca chewing with his mouth open making those wretched smack noises while he consumed some of the most beautiful food we’ve ever seen….
Seriously, how many people can afford this pretentious nonsense. Just because you are in the highest eatery doesn’t make it better.
