Here it comes, television's most exciting hour of fantastic prizes the fabulous sixty-minute Price is Right!
We are showcasing episodes not viewed in decades. Starting from Season 11 (1982), this is the first season when animal furs were no longer offered as prizes, supporting Bob’s advocacy of animal rights in memory of his wife Dorothy Jo.
To celebrate what would have been Bob Barker's 100th birthday, the channel is also featuring episodes from the debut season of The "New" Price Is Right in 1972.

Or, as we'd like to call Trader Bob this: "Don't Show The Price!"
Congratulations, she just won a pair of scissors! As soon as she chose those scissors, she threw the game, and she was indeed through.
While this may be the final airing of Trader Bob, it's good to hear Johnny Olson being the announcer.
His third-to-last show.
😢May God Rest Them Both. 😭 Oh, Boo, Hoo-Hoo!!😭
Though he did stick around for Trader Bob's last hurrah, he missed out on that on the abysmal On The Nose and the underappreciated Balance Game.
Trader Bob aka Don't show the Price, Dian! 2:44 A sad and Tragic end to a good pricing game.
Actually, it was retired because it wasn't a good pricing game. No room for error and you knew whether it not somebody won long before the reveal.
I love the aesthetic of the game prop, but the game itself sucked.
@BlueCrystalTear I also think Trader Bob would have never worked during Bob's final seasons. Especially if a contestant did not know how that game was game and no knowledge of which models were working that day.
Trader Bob, hahaha! I rather go to Trader Joe's.
If I were playing this game, I would not have chosen the last item. I would have chosen the other three but not that one. Seriously, why did she choose THAT one?
Thanks For Sharing!
I want this game to come back. I really love the concept of it.
It should not come back. It got the axe for being too hard. It's essentially Give or Keep and later Buy or Sell but there was no room for error. If you want one of these type of pricing games to come back, then pick Buy or Sell.
@@SupermarketSweep777 No drama either. Despite Bob's trying to build some at end. Based on price reveal of unwanted prizes, you knew ahead of time what each outcome would be. Woulda worked better if both prices got revealed simultaneously w/each trade.
Trader Drew? Trader George? You better get real! Come On!
So many games were retired in 1985-1986.
Just in this short period of time at the end of 1985 which included Balance Game I, On the Nose & Walk of Fame.
They were victims of too confusing rules, too difficult to win, or mechanical difficulties
And only one was introduced for the first time which was BUMP which lasted at least 6 years. Why was it retired you say? Watch the 10-15-1991 episode of the PIR and you'll find out why.
Another clip from the 11/19/85 episode of The Price is Right. This time, it's from Pricing Game #4 featuring the finale of Trader Bob.
Usually after the fourth pricing game, Johnny Olson reads, "STAY TUNED FOR MORE PRICING GAMES AND THE FABULOUS SHOWCASES WHICH ARE COMING RIGHT UP ON THE SECOND HALF OF THE PRICE IS RIGHT!" He doesn't say it here so this must either be the fifth or sixth.
One problem this game had was when they revealed the price of the prize not chosen during the game. If you saw the forth item not picked was more expensive than the third item picked then you know the contestant had lost. But, it seemed Bob wasn't aware of that?
And there was no room for error
😢 bummer
They should change the game to “Trader Drew.”
👍🏻
hmm...nope
@@SIMCOMotorsportsTV Why not?
That bench must have been made out of pure platinum.
They don’t cut no corners at trader Bob’s .
Nope 👎🏻🙂↔️🙅🏻.
Maybe next time, Bob? How about good riddance to Trader Bob? May it rest in peace!
Hope this game comes back as "Trader Drew."
Or Trade Up as it was called in the UK
I agree on both of them
Trade Up is good
Good luck.
I thought she was gonna win. I bet she figured they threw her a curve ball on the last item since the vacuum seemed like the obvious choice. I guess sometimes the obvious choice is correct.
Holly ❤ was so drop dead gorgeous it’s crazy. But what a way to go!
Yep 👍🏻!
I ❤ Holly Hallstrom 😊

I couldn't keep my eyes away from her every time she's around!
There was no next time because it was the last time that they played the pricing game since they retired it. Maybe they should be retiring many prizing games with Drew Carey with all the number or losses which have been happening during Drew Carey's era.
I agree ☑️ with you, Silvia. And it's spelled pricing (but not prizing) games 🎯🎱🎯🎱🎯🎱, but close enough. Plus ➕, next ➡️ month are two ✌️🏻 July _Price Is Right 👉🏻_ birthdays 🎉🎉: Former Barker's Beauty 💅🏼 (and Seattle native) Janice Pennington's (née Janice Maurine Pennington) 82nd birthday 🎉 (July 8) and former _Price Is Right 👉🏻_ producer (and San Francisco 🌉 native) Roger Dobkowitz's (née Roger Kurt Dobkowitz) 79th birthday 🎉 (July 30).

@jamesmcclelland1414 Thank You very much 😊
I used 2 love this pricing game
Both Holly & Dian looked Pretty In Their Pink Outfits !! 😍
So did Janice, David.

Literally nobody cares. It's not even July but you have to spam the same thing every day still. I'm not kidding when I say it...NOBODY CARES. And now to report,it for spam all day.
After some confusion 😕 Deborah had the best 👌 bid at $980 💵 !!
Robert has been very incoherent in his statements the last few days. He should take a break. Hopefully a 24 hour " Comments Paused To Protect The Community " one .
Stay mad,bit..
@@davidellis5141 With a difference of $378 because the actual retail price of that hand 👏🏻-painted 🎨 bench as the fifth IUFB was $1,358.
