what would be the shelf life in ideal conditions? i l live in a very dry area and have a cold basement.
Because of the chocolate I would say anywhere from 6 months to a year in perfect conditions. Candy without chocolate will typically store longer.
Do you need the full 24 hours for extra dry time?
No you do not. I always leave machine at 24 hours extra dry time as the default. I recommend 6 hours of drying time.
Shouldn’t the top number be 0?
I’m not sure which number you are referring to. I have my Initial freeze temp set to -10 because that is what works best for me. It’s irrelevant with candy mode though.
