COOL G RAPP
Grand Puba, Sadat-X (Derek-X), Lord Jamar are all top rated!! So don't ever say "underrated"! This was one of the best Hip Hop albums ever!
knuftobor Jamar is the weakest member the other are pretty good but their are better groups and rappers
KMD was underrated

My God, My God, thank you Lord for letting me be a young man when Hip Hop was just killing it! These guys are absolute masters of their craft!!
A supreme mind will take you out of your paralysis! 👑
I grip the mic so tight I get calluses
Bless GTA 4 for introducing me into this, what a banger.
“I’m livin’ kinda good, similar to Jack Tripper, my landlord named Roper did a show at the Copa...” That’s some smooth writin’ shit right there!
This album is a staple of hip hop.......so much groove....these were grown men rappin they ass off
Say what u said!
I played this album to death when it came out. Quintessential classic
Broke the CD ..WORE IT OUT!!!
me too, I even took it to parties playing dj back when it was one turntable, no mic!
This beat is so dope. Can’t help but nod your head with this record. 🔥
KRS-One sampled it in his song "Survivin"
THIS RIGHT HERE!!! SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE FORGOTTEN THIS.
@@MindMan424 BRAND NUBIAN!!! ALL 4 1...1 4... ALL
Factz
You absolutely right man!
This might be the greatest loop in all of hip hop. It’s just so quintessentially hip hop. Simple as hell. Just one bar. Even got a crackle in the record. Sample it, chop it, loop it; add an 808 kick and that’s a wrap. Or should I say “rap.”
FACTS...
Straight vinyl. Incredible
It's addictive
Good analysis. Hip hop connoisseur you are

I never heard of the james brown song all for me. Can you post the link
So it took 5 samples to make this song.....that's is why they did not make much money
Classic hip hop. True knowledge of self.
I miss the 90s. This joint dropped when I was in Highschool. Puba! Butter flow
Me too
Hope they had a fire extinguisher for that mike. Brand Nubian straight fire! Damn!! Ain't nobody ever really touching New York and east coast rappers. Period! And I'm from the west coast the Grand masters of rap
1 of the dopest sample / flips of all time
Classic! And Sadat x voice is unique.
2023 - 45 years old still one of my favorites. I love real hiphop.! Period
Thank you Brand Nubian! 🔥🔥🔥
Super classic track. You can't duplicate this
Lord Js verse 30 years later... Still bangin
This music feels really good to listen, really. they tried their best to create a song and sounds still amazing cause they put their heart in it
No weak link amongst Sadat, Jamar, and Maxwell
ILOVE BN, but Honestly LJ overall is/was weak! Puba was/is The BEST! Sadat was/is next, voice very distinctive. Lord J, every once in A While, came through, but Overall The other 2 was just so Potent, it didn't matter
I agree. Believe that.
One 4ALL..ALL4ONE...
Absolute top drawer, platinum hip hop
Who else is here in 2024, doing the PREP???
Me all day
@@robersonjoshua3422 You commented just 8 seconds ago dude :Edit: yes I know I still listen to this right now cause it's just beautiful
This song came to my mind, just like that, after few decades. Somewhere in 1997. I switched to funk and jazz only. There were at best 10-20 rap songs I liked from 1997-2005. Rap music s*ucks since P Diddy became the thing.

Grand Puba is underrated
Who's more underrated:Grand Puba or Kool Keith(Ultramagnetic MC's)
Especially on this verse. He could spit.
Andre Sams facts
Very hungry m.c.
No...he's not. Everybody luv Puba. Def a fan fav. Mufugga wasn't the 1st on Sprite commecial for no reason.
To The Right is my favorite off this album, also step to the rear. Classic!
"Step To The Rear", "Wake Up(Reprise)" & "All For One"
Derek X is super underrated. The 5 percent nation mathematics the founding principles of HIPHOP.
This , Live at the BBQ and D Nice to the rescue, were my jams back in the day.
And I'm an Englishman in his 40's btw.
Real hip-hop transcends all. ✌️
A man of taste, I see!
true indeed randy!!!!!
Me too well said
The english love hip hop, some really good artists i rate from the uk lol.
That’s an odd comment, considering all of the great hip-hop that has come out of the UK.
Simon Harris. Derek B. Daddy Freddy. Slick Rick. Monie Love. I’m talking about stuff in the 80s and early 90s. Not even the explosion that has come later with grime and all the rest of it.
Puba has the best flow in hip hop history
Legendary ,distinct voices.
One of the all-time best tracks of Hip Hop.
One of my favorite groups. The lyrics and track are nice!!!
Mississippi checking in miss that essence of old-school NYC Rappers damn .Bring back great memories.

Brand nubians totally totally under rated
Bring me back when Hip Hop was real💪. lyrical 🎼🐯 New age rap 95% Dum Dum you down mentally pure madness The😈 all the way 2019😕
This track can be played and brings me back to 1989, 1990, and '91.
Add 88, and you got the 4 greatest years in hip hop history.
@@Retro_Man_76 There you go... but it's before '88; I mean I can remember as a really young person from 1984-1991, those years when it comes to music in general but hip-hop, those are the years, and a little before with DMC, Slick Rick, Blow, Whodini, Salt-N-Peppa, and Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, etc...
@@plainsimple244 I agree with you. In my opinion the golden age of hip hop was 1984-1997. I also like the early old school stuff (1979-1984). Treacherous Three, Spoonie Gee, Sugarhill, Grandmaster Flash, Melle Mel, Fantastic Four, Sequence (first female rap group), Funky Four Plus 1, Kurt's Blow, Spyder-D, Super Wolf...the list goes on and on. Real Hip hop started to deteriate by the late 90's, and now it's just flat out horrendous. At least we have all those amazing classics to go back to.
@@Retro_Man_76 Yeah, I really don't need any music after 1991... I'm being generous when I say 1992 when it comes to hip-hop...So when it comes to hip-hop give me anything from 1980-1991 and I'm set...there's nothing I need to listen to, it's done... See, something can become world-renown but the origin is a little time period that travels in time and it's set in its greatness for what it is and it should be left as so. You do not remake classics at all and if you are going to sample anything, it should always bring you back to origins; the only thing I didn't like about hip-hop was the constant sampling (which I can understand due to the economics of studio time) and the violence which is 100% unnecessary aside from telling the world the foolishness going on around you to get answers for getting out of that situation. The core of art is the writing and ability to put music together but the 'other stuff' is a lie.
@@Retro_Man_76 U just named many legends. Some of the greatest founders of THE TRUE HIP HOP FOUNDATION...
Jamar snapped in this
Rap Rat Trapped
Real thing this!
He did a remix verse too. “Well when I rain I maintain./ As the Seven and one half ounces of brain./ Controls....what rolls ....off my tongue./ Kick a little step as the ep gets swung. Now girls try to tackle me... and put me in a headlock./ So they can feel the dreadlocks./ but no need to gaffel me/ You don’t have to steal.. so you can feel the bed rock. - Lord Jamar
@@VAballer i disagree. Be safe out there.
