Where could I get the plans for that truck ?? Would love to make one for my Grandson. Would much appreciate a reply with information on how to go about obtaining the plans. Await your reply john
Nice job, I love the old vintage trucks! Can you explain why you dont show us how you actually cut out the wheels and tires though? I find myself having loads of trouble tryna make them the same size as its opposite along with thickness and balance! Nobody ever shows yhat process, why is that???? All the rest of the vehicle is fairly simple! I would just like to learn how to make wheels especially when there's two or three pieces that make each wheel! Its aggravating because I spend more time on wheels than the rest of the whole project!
I didnt put wheel proces in this video coz I want to show how to make simple round edge, and wheel proces take a long time so i cut it, in other video i make wheel for raptor
@@AOBiWorkshop yes wheels do take a long time! Thats why I ask. That process takes me 2 or 3 days alone. I've tried to make em several different ways but still have trouble getting all to match in size and balance. It really is aggravating. I could buy wheels but I don't want to go that route because I wanna learn to do them without any trouble! I dont care how long it takes to make em I just wanna learn to do them right and get professional results
@@kevinbrister8801 Kevin, I used to hate making wheels. Now I dont mind at all. Its quite simple actually. Try to use hole saw for whole diameter, and forstner bit to remove inner diameter. Round over the edges and some growing is optional. I use lathe for everything, but you can use hand drill with simple 1/4" bolt as a mandrel. Hope this makes sense and helps.
@@marcelo403polo2 yes makes sense, I make models from patterns too, I do like experimenting on easier ways to make wheels. So far I've found that holesaw and Forstner bits seem to be the easiest way. I just recently purchased a tabletop mini lathe but have yet to use it for one when I got it I had already made wheels for all 6 of the cars I'm in the middle of right now two I've never used a lathe before and just haven't had time to play with it and learn what and what not to do! Once I get these projects done I will spend some time on it. Atleast get the feel of it. Thanks for talkin with me it helps me to learn this hobby! Ive only been at it for almost a year now and have only made 2 cars!
@@kevinbrister8801 Glad I could help. It sure is fun hobby. Just play more with new tools and in no time you wont even think about past making you troubles. Good luck!!!
