This is one of the most upfront, and real talk episodes I've ever seen on nine club. Lutzka is the fukkin man,and a huge staple in my personal skateboarding inspirations..thank you to the boys for another good interview.🙏🏻
As a young skater kid in the 2000s growing up in Milwaukee, Greg lutzka was everything for us. Almost round 3 was the first skate video I bought and I watched it over and over many times before skating. Jimi Hendrix song was ICONIC. I had a fedora for a little bit.. Jeff at 4 seasons gave me an old ragged deck that he said was Greg's old board. I skated that thing until it turned to dust. If you read this Greg, thanks for being a huge part of my childhood. I'd love to ride motorcycles with you back in Milwaukee sometime 🤘
I’m from Huntington and had the pleasure of meeting Lutzka this past summer downtown and we talked about that Krooked story. Guy is super nice and a legend.
People forget the nine club is an open form conversation of someone’s history and journey through skating not about who’s talking at that moment and interrupting one another it’s everyone talking at once like when you and the homies are kicking it talking about things all at once
3:57 Nice to see ya Greg. Remember that one time at 4seasons I filmed you in the back? We filmed for about an hour or so.It was just me and you, we hardly knew each other then. Noone had ever seen that footage, I'll try to find it. That was about 03 or 04... MILWAUKEE WI REPRESENT!
I remember watching Lutzka's local videos out of Wisconsin before he was sponsored. Little ass quicktime videos. I was ahead of the times on online skate videos. Made a dope little edit back in 2000 with my friends using a VHS-C camera and VideoWave 4.0. I had an angelfire website and figured out how to embed mpeg videos and it actually went viral at my high school. This is 5 years before UA-cam and "viral videos" which started with a Saturday night live skit. I did it 1st in 2000 lol.
I’m from Sheboygan and Lutzka was a legend already yo! But yeah and I remember going to that chocolate demo in Milwaukee back in the day with some buddies and I went to go a drink and there was Chico Brenes shooting the breeze with my buddies mom setting up a new deck in the lil shop area…. Man those were the days. Also remember being stoked on Eldridge ripping it that day. Chris barely skated that day….
This was a great interview. I've always known about Greg, and to certain degree I respected his skateboarding. After this interview. I got a huge respect for Greg as a person and as a businessman. Great stuff guys. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
