Something Major happened after Katrina.. it was Definitely something i noticed that stuck out to me. i call it the Pre Katrina Generation of bands.. it was definitely noticeable when that last class of Katrina band members graduated in 2008. after that it was very noticeable. at least to me it was.. New Orleans bands was known as the top High school bands in the country, After Katrina a hell of a lot got washed away, The Population never recovered, nor did the Band directors and students who fed Most of the to college bands never returned. I keep telling people You'll never hear college bands sound the way they did in early 2000's and prior If you do not nurture and fix the High schools that fed and made up most of those college bands. it's not gonna happen. it is not a coincidence that the 2 cities that Most New Orleans people fled to during Katrina, (Baton Rouge and Houston Tx) have 1 of the Best Battles in Swac history immediately after.. Although TXSU, Southern and Jackson is where Most N.O band member went prior, Katrina simply increased that.

Because that corner is far away as fuck. The video does very little justice for how this stadium is set up. The camera man is at the 50. SU utilizes their whole section to maximize the volume. Kind of creates a surround sound affect. That corner is a beast. Very few bands can handle it. I've only seen three bands consistently work that corner. The Ocean and Sonic Boom have are the only two I know to master it.
