i want to have children one day, but pregnancy? that shit is scary and something i dont think i could deal with without a good support (be it a partner or close friends). I have 2 adult children who were born in Texas about 30 years ago. They were planned and very much wanted. If the abortion ban (that is in Texas now) had been in place back then, I would not have had them. As a woman with bipolar disorder too it's really not safe for me to date. I can't go off my med for nine months and have an episode the last one nearly ruined me. I found myself in a situationship in high school I didn't have a baby but I got my illness it's his fault I'm never dating anyone. So it wasn't meant to be. You can still have friends you can still have your family you already have you can get a pet. You can even get a job working with kids like I did but as a woman with a serious mental illness that landed me in the hosptial and even jail once I feel that it's not safe and I think women that have mental illness and have kids are taking a huge risk with their life and sanity.

One time, a "friend" of mine, took me and my 2-years old for a ride, because we were at her house for her kid's birthday party, I was throwing up, so she LEFT ME ALONE with a child, somewhere on the countryside. She was the one driving the car, I fell asleep on the road, and woke up an hour later, by my baby calling me. I was alone in the car in the countryside. Thankfully, I was feeling better, so I found some hotel nearby and went there for a night, before I could get back home. A "friend" told me, she wanted to get back home with her friends and didn't want to wake me up! She basically left me somewhere in the countryside, because I was feeling sick at her kid's birthday party, and she didn't want to take care of me or spoil the party. It was so beyond my imagination, I needed a couple of months to really understand what's happened. I could have called the police and accused her of endangering my and my kid's life. What if I didn't ever wake up and just stayed in the car with a crying baby, remote in the countryside? The sad part is, there were other people with her, and everyone just agreed that's a right thing to do. It made me not to rely even on female friends anymore.

I go to work, i spend time with my family, i spend lots of wonderful times with my partner, i enjoy the company of pets, i go out and enjoy nature and can cater to my hobbies. Parents financially abuse/financially control their kids, they'll tell their kids that once they have kids of THEIR own that their kids will treat them just as bad or worse. As a woman with bipolar disorder too it's really not safe for me to date. I can't go off my med for nine months and have an episode the last one nearly ruined me. I found myself in a situationship in high school I didn't have a baby but I got my illness it's his fault I'm never dating anyone. So it wasn't meant to be. You can still have friends you can still have your family you already have you can get a pet. You can even get a job working with kids like I did but as a woman with a serious mental illness that landed me in the hosptial and even jail once I feel that it's not safe and I think women that have mental illness and have kids are taking a huge risk with their life and sanity.

Sorry, that won't work. Most women don't fear about being childless, we mostly fear pregnancy because we know giving birth is painful & we're aware that we can still die from complications of pregnancy and miscarriages. So, good luck. Women are discovering being child free is fun & wonderful.

One time, a "friend" of mine, took me and my 2-years old for a ride, because we were at her house for her kid's birthday party, I was throwing up, so she LEFT ME ALONE with a child, somewhere on the countryside. She was the one driving the car, I fell asleep on the road, and woke up an hour later, by my baby calling me. I was alone in the car in the countryside.
Thankfully, I was feeling better, so I found some hotel nearby and went there for a night, before I could get back home.
A "friend" told me, she wanted to get back home with her friends and didn't want to wake me up! She basically left me somewhere in the countryside, because I was feeling sick at her kid's birthday party, and she didn't want to take care of me or spoil the party. It was so beyond my imagination, I needed a couple of months to really understand what's happened. I could have called the police and accused her of endangering my and my kid's life. What if I didn't ever wake up and just stayed in the car with a crying baby, remote in the countryside?
The sad part is, there were other people with her, and everyone just agreed that's a right thing to do. It made me not to rely even on female friends anymore.

I was abused during my pregnancy. They think that attributed to my hearts ejection fraction going from 60 down to 35 after birth. I developed heart failure and almost died.
If someone says you should fear childlessness, they're literally talking about our current lives. What exactly do I have to be in fear of? I go to work, i spend time with my family, i spend lots of wonderful times with my partner, i enjoy the company of pets, i go out and enjoy nature and can cater to my hobbies. Now being a single mom, with a child with special needs. Struggling with my mental health, going to hospitals with my son, constant struggle a school for him. Nobody told me about that possibility
