    This is why I backed out of consulting 1 on 1 and started building my own products and email list. High end coaching is still there but the business does not need it to operate at a good profit. The digital 'how to' products and memberships are the foundation. Later I can add live events maybe. I will survey my audience later on and create wants and needs based products too. Even offer an affiliate program paying those who refer my products. Thanks so much Sam for making this info available for free to the public. I would believe you have something in the works to offer those like me who see this example working in their business!!! I'm on your list!

    Thank you for this perspective on scalability & the Flywheel! My only suggestion is for future videos, can you either put subtitles for the other people talking, or repeat their question before answering it? It's difficult to get the context of your answer if we couldn't hear the question.

    There are three types of growth: exponential, polynomial and linear. Probably add logistic growth too (exhibits characteristics of first 3 at different stages) for four types.

    Extremely helpful to a project I am working on right now. As a visual thinker this helps to set what is needful to the wheel for growth and what should be less of a priority.

    OMG!That´s so good! I love it! I was thinking about 1on1 and then I thought..but after 7 clients a month i have to stop..or 10! Cause quality is the most important for me as you call it "customer experience", there are a lots of coaches doing "group program" but the customer exp is suffering a loot in that case!....looove itt!!

    Diminishing marginal returns of labor 10:34 at a certain point you stop scaling because adding another employee brings lesser benefit than it does cost.

    Awesome insight. "For every 1 customer, the experience must get better" though I believe that's true mostly for chicken & egg kind of businesses but for businesses that every new customer doesn't make any change on experience either up or down I think this may be applicable like this to get the similar exponential effect "every 1 customer should bring at least 1 more customer" such as Dropbox?

    Sam, I have a question for you. At 23:00, you are talking about your progress and self-iteration. If you would have to start all over again, would you start with the highest vision of offering ''consulting in any niche'' or you would still start with ''consulting local businesses on how to do digital marketing''? Thank you friend, I'm learning and trying to get to you as fast as I can haha! Cheers!

    I think Amazon has been able to be exponentially grow due to technology change, with people accessing “shops” with electronic devices. Traditional businesses are linear, they have one CS dealing with one customer. Amazon removed CS for convenience and offset it with easy returns. Their growth are based on large base of linear growth of each small business and family. Yet it can be challenged by new technology such as AI. I think all growths are not linear, such as 0 income from university learning years to six digit figures even in first year at work. But that happens only a few times in a lifetime.

    Actually, I have expirienced this kind of knowledge during my Bachelor studies of agriculture. My professor explained this on other examples. He asked us to explain why milk from EU producers is much more affordable than milk from Balcan? Simply becouse EU has greater production, more customers on the market and lower production cost.

    • @TheTread123
      @TheTread123 5 років тому

      Let's do a multi nutrition analysis of both milks and the inputs needed to start each "production". Thus large operations have big overhead and needed subsidiaries.

    UA-cam has a flywheel effect!
    Ok but can we apply the flywheel to a personal brand? For example, let's say i am trying to create an Art personal brand, where I'm the artist, but how can I make a system where i grow exponentially?
    If i want to do a course, then to not have an anti flywheel effect maybe I'd have to automate things and make it a premade (recorded) one, in order to not require my physical time and presence. Money making would be automated. Right? Are there other ways for a flywheel effect about a personal brand
