Nah I don’t buy the whole “it was not made for us” tactic. Because if she hulk was actually doing good you won’t hear anybody saying that. The show is boring I thought the court aspect of it would at least be good but nah it isn’t. And why can’t they make a strong female character without bringing down a few 100 male characters just to so it’s just unnecessary it’s poor writing and defending bad writing will just encourage them to continue pumping below average shows like this out. And defending shows like this to look good and neutral is a bit disingenuous

I mean not all marvel comics are catered to the exact same type of fan so it makes sense some marvel tv shows would cater to a different type of fan.
You have to accept she hulk as just a comedy show has nothing to do with the multi-verse has nothing to do with Kang The conqueror it is strictly a comedy show surrounding the life of Jennifer that’s it. Nothing more nothing less and I think if you do that, you’ll enjoy the show more. I hope with the criticism sometimes unfair doesn’t prohibit Feige and the MCU from taking more risks, or doing more stand alone projects in the future.
The writing is bad…the CGI is bad…just seems like a missed opportunity overall.
Let’s just get this out of the way, men are not threatened by a female lead show. I personally loved Wanda Vision and Elizabeth Olsen did an outstanding job. She-Hulk on the other hand feels so forced. They try to push the whole look at me I’m a powerful woman hear me roar.I wish they would have focused more on character development instead of trying to push a narrative that made this show unwatchable.
I said to my wife a few years back that Marvel will eventually (inevitably) lose some fans as it naturally expanded its catalog to other genres & target audiences...and it's allegedly happening. Personally I LOVE ALL OF IT. The contrast across the MCU is so refreshing and cool. Plus, it's dope to know my wife can enjoy some content that speaks more directly to her interests while I'm also fed cool nods. It's really bizarre seeing so many dudes rabidly bothered by the female centric content, particularly She-Hulk, bcuz it's so tonally aligned with the source material that those same dudes are allegedly so die hard about sticking to the roots of. 🤷🏾♂️
I feel like there is probably significantly less financial risk for Marvel Studios with D+ so they can take a lot more creative risks while introducing new stories, characters and ideas. I absolutely love it. I’m a massive Marvel Comics/MCU fan and I feel like there is absolutely no reason why anyone should be complaining about all this content. Maybe I’m just too old and remember a time when there were only cartoon representations of my favorite comic book characters. But I really like the fresh take on Marvel characters that normally aren’t on my radar. Anything released on D+ will never everlive up to Endgame, and I’m perfectly okay with that.
Yes loki and moon knight are my fav so far, i havent watched she hulk yet but I plan to. Just that those two shows are easily some of my favs shows ive period in a long time
Thanks for touching on this Rob. I think a lot of people don’t realize that now that Marvel Studios is established, they can make whatever stories they want. Just like someone would prefer to read a Thor comic over a Ms Marvel comic, there are also people who prefer to read Ms Marvel over Thor for example. I like the MCU changing it up, each project even if it’s not my favorite character/ story, feels new and brings diversity to the MCU catalog
Majority of female comic fans dispise this show and causal female fans it's a mixed bag. Disregarding the core audience made this show a failure. Men are the core audience for comic book stuff o ly facts, female comic fan made cause theybwanted comic stuff so it turns out like 85% of the core audience don't like this anime filler.
After watching She-hulk I can imagine what Deadpool and Daredevil is going to be like. Probably one long episode of Will and Grace.🤣🤣🤣 R.I.P MCU.

I would partly disagree. I like the show and I would argue that the show is equally about 1. Jen Walter's dealing with everyday life as she-hulk and a woman and 2. Superhero law. With that being said I think it has two target audiences, women and superhero fans, just not action fans.

Marvel didn't lose fans because of variety they lost fans because of quality. They started turning almost everyone into a quippy Tony Stark. Why the hired The Russo Brothers for action they got lucky so what they did after started hiring low talented directors and low talent writers. Not to mention Disney Marvel shows don't use showrunners and you can see why Shehulk is aimless.
Im a man, and I'm loving She-Hulk lol To be fair, I've always been a fan of She-Hulk in the comics too, so there's that. I think with the Infinity Saga Marvel was trying to appeal to as broad of an audience as possible. Now, with the success of the Infinity Saga, Marvel has gotten to a place where they can create projects that appeal to more niche subsets of people: She-Hulk is told in a way where young women can relate or identify with, WandaVision dealt with the 5 stages of grief, Moonknight touched on multiple personality disorder, etc. Marvel is allowing creators to experiment with different genres and that's a beautiful thing. Everything isn't for everyone, and it's perfectly fine to Skip a show/movie if it doesn't appeal to you, but spewing toxicity over the internet because it isn't something *YOU* (generally speaking) want is a bit adolescent and childish to be honest.....

But you say comedy like its funny....sure you can say its subjective but for me to barely chuckle watching a comedy series isnt a letter of recommendation. And you cant say this isnt for us, when this is the origin of a character they are gonna introduce in later projects. I've thoroughly enjoyed She-Hulk as the episodes have been released. It's one of the top shows for me right now. It's quality stuff. While the show may not contain as much violence or action it's still VERY appealing to me. It's fun show that deals with topics that other Marvel shows haven't touched on yet and I'm here for it.
When people say that a show isn't for you, it means it has NO potential to be great
My fiance and I zoom watch she hulk every week (job transfer so we're long distance for another month) and its hilarious. We were hoping it was going to be a series where she was a hulk lawyer and all of her super clients were morons that constantly admit to their numerous crimes and we weren't disappointed. 😁
Facts it’s not for us. My girlfriend loves she hulk every Thursday she’s excited for it and I’m enjoying it cause she is. Now she’s invested in the MCU more than ever.
I think the problem is that she's going to end up an Avenger and no one is going to take her seriously. We know how toxic the community can get and you just know those people are going to be upset that a character from a show that's clearly not made for them is going to potentially lead the Avengers or be an important member.
I think the Daredevil episode might actually be the one that'll get people to take her seriously. If not, it could be an issue down the road.
Even understanding the target audience, isn't it still just a bad show? Mediocre at best. Can people who aren't the target audience judge it properly? I'd say so because some things are just objective. Telling different stories in different ways is fine and all but tell them well. Regardless of what story is told and to whom, it can be full of great characters, strong themes and thought provoking dialogue. This show is not that.

She-Hulk is unique from the MCU in so many ways and i’m loving it.
I enjoy She-Hulk much how I like Troll 2. Maybe it’s not for me. Maybe it’s not technically good. But it’s entertaining in its lightheartedness.
I enjoy she hulk, but my wife absolutely loves it. That's not usual. I still feel like the series is here to slowly deliver information about and set up future events.
The problem is those aren't the people that are going to turn to a Marvel show to get that type of entertainment. I'm watching the show, it's ok but it does feel rutter less. I'm watching it but I don't really know why.
Imagine watching a Tony Hawk documentary where he never even looks at a skateboard; are we really going to get a series about a Hulk (any Hulk) where they aren’t going to throw down?? Nah guy, such an endeavour only has so much of a chance to begin with.
This isn't a Hulk show it's a She-Hulk show, what we're seeing here doesn't deviate much from how She-Hulk comics are like. It's on you if you set your expectations to something else

You need to let it go, not made for “us”? And who exactly is “us”? I’m an avid comic book fan and find the show to be entertaining. That’s all that really matters. Throwing darts in the dark with the whole “no fight scenes or it doesn’t tie into anything” clearly only bothers a small sub-sect of fans. Just goes to show that you can’t please everyone all of the time.
If the show eventually evolves into superhero court, I could see myself giving it another shot. Also this could be great if marvel does another civil war, closer to the comic book version. Robbie's story was SO heartbreaking

Who is the target audience? Because it seems like its trying to have several audiences at once: women, people who like legal dramas, and people who like superhero shows. And it is falling on every front. And before anyone says I’m a guy and don’t get the female aspect of the show, almost every woman in my family has seen at least one episode and hasn’t liked it. And even if I am a guy, I’m allowed to watch women geared property and have an opinion.
Why not? It’s a nice little sitcom…I am enjoying it.

She-Hulk was made for everyone dude. I'm a guy and I enjoy the hell out of the show. None of Marvel is made for one group in particular and that kinda thought pattern reminds me of when I was a kid and my little sister would read She-Hulk comics. I automatically thought eew why would I read that it's for girls. Later on in life I read them and they were funny as hell. People have a hate boner for She-Hulk because they are assuming that it is this or that. And Rob I doubt you will see this but dude if you legitimately do not like this show that is cool. But if you are just pandering to who you are assuming your audience is then maybe give it a shot, maybe go back and read some of the old She-Hulk comics and you will see that the two mirror each other. But honestly you don't have to join the train of guys who are saying this show is bad because it has a woman as the main character.
I think marvel does not know what direction to take the mcu in. Phase 4 is all over the place with really terrible writing in both the movies and series. Am I the only person who thinks I would rather 2 really good movies a year instead of 4 mediocre movies. The mcu should focus on things that are pretty hard to screw up, like a new deadpool movie.
Technically there have been 3 fights so far: She-Hulk vs Hulk, She-Hulk vs The Wrecking Crew, and She-Hulk vs the demons while helping Wong lol

The problem is since Marvel has saturated the market and demand you watch all its shows for it all to make sense you going to get a lot more feedback especially since they rather focus on quantity than quality. They have painted themselves into a corner.

Phase 4 has so far felt like they fired everyone who worked on Phases 1-3 and hired CW writers and VFX artists to take over.

I'm liking it if for nothing else than the comedy cause I love meta humor. Though I've totally seen some of the things that Jen complains about like dudes talking down to women about their own area of expertise for instance. Also I think the same people that complain about wokeness also tend to miss nuance. Like the scene where Jen complains to Bruce that she can control her temper is also a point where she loses her temper, like it's showing that no she's not better than the hulk and the fight where she Hulk "wins" is basically just a not so serious fight between cousins. Also I feel like that whole fight was basically to explain things don't work the same for she-hulk as they do the hulk. Also I liked that they seriously apologized to each other cause I don't feel like I see that enough in superhero media. I also liked the abomination stuff yeah it was silly and you don't have to like the direction it took, but I feel like it grows the character and makes the character more interesting than the macho military guy that wanted to beat the hulk in a fist fight. I'm also enjoying the courtroom stuff. It's not realistic, but I like that it's showing that Jen is thinking out side the box in some of these court cases. Also I don't think the show is on the same level of something like loki(I think Loki is the gold standard all the other shows should be compared to), but it's one of the more decent shows imho.

Im so happy with these shows that dont follow the Marvel formula or seem to require action scenes, th comics dont all have action, so why should the live action stuff?
The weakest parts of the shows/movies lately have been the action scenes, so relying less on them is fantastic for longevity. Im here for the characters i love, not to see them punch stuff, fights should be big and climactic moments, and a lot of the fans dont seem to get that, they've already become watered down and hopefully the approach She-Hulk is taking will actually make people WANT action scenes again, and when they do happen they better be good, both visually and emotionally, unlike everything else Marvel has dome recently

I understand why they did it and who they are trying to reach. But don’t insult the fans who aren’t watching it because they know it’s not for them. It’s no problem to make these shows, but don’t whine when the numbers aren’t what you want them to be. That’s what is frustrating.
The issue is that it’s so blunt, calculated, and corporate with the ideas it’s trying to express. It just feels like pandering and, honestly, intentionally antagonistic to modern conservatives for marketing purposes. I love a strong female lead and feminism but this feels insultingly simple
