I’m 14, But I have a good amount of Army Gear from around 2002-2004. It’s all the stuff the Army didn’t ask for back, my dad gave it to me when he retired. I have: Two Duffel Bags Two Rucksacks Three M4 Mag pouches (each holds two) Two M4 mag pouches (but these ones hold three mags) One “Improved” First Aid kit (the kind that would be on a vest) One Canteen/Multipurpose pouch Two Canteens Two Camelbacks (Bladder) One Butt pouch (basically a fanny pack) One Frag Grenade Pouch One Flash-bang Pouch One Compass & Pouch One ACP Helmet (I’m missing a N.A.P.E. Pad, the Goggle things, and the NVG mount) One pair of Goggles (Smoke and clear lenses) Two MOLLE II Vests 3 combat shirts 2 uniforms 5 patrol caps 2 of the floppy wide brimmed hats (Not sure of proper term lol) 1 Pair of summer boots (that are 4 sizes to big, and are the only thing that doesn’t fit me well) 1 of those blankets you got Some of the Patches I own (that my dad gave me are: 82nd Sustainment Brigade 519th Military Intelligence Battalion (Airborne) 525th Military Intelligence Brigade (Airborne) He has been stationed in Korea, Afghanistan, and Kuwait BTW my dad was a Lieutenant Colonel when he retired
Armoni Morris Can't blame Mariah. This is one of the *many, many things* lots of soldiers *hate* about the Army and probably would not have joined had it been clearly explained beforehand, and would have joined another branch like Air Force instead because they don't issue you all of this. You will be surprised at just how *burdensome* this gear they issue you is. You get it in BCT and AIT which is one thing, but when you get out of training and get to your unit, you will be issued it again regardless of what MOS you are. From what I've seen, this isn't clear to everyone. I was at a replacement company when I got to my duty station and my roommate, a dental specialist (called "68 Echo") was complaining about why does he need to be issued this infantry gear when he's not infantry, and will most likely never use it. There are so many problems with this infantry gear like having to constantly do layouts with it that take all day, having to carry this crap out to the field with you (another loathsome thing about the Army that makes many soldiers wish they had have joined the Air Force), etc. If anything happens to any of it, you will be heavily fined over it. I've known people who were e5's, sergeants, who as e5's, lost pieces of their infantry equipment and had to pay hundreds of dollars to replace it. Ridiculous. Mariah is by far not the only one in the Army who can't wait to turn that crap back in. If you join the chair force instead of the frigging army, this is one of many, many extra problems you won't have to deal with.
Remember each year you have to do an inventory of all your issued gear... The FLC is the vest, the belly panel is a TAPs Tactical Assualt Panel. For your CamelBak, buy a hook in carrier to attach directly to your body armor.
I thought this was fake because why would the army just send some random person their gear but you said you were in the reserves. Thank you for your service!
Yeah that's why she made sure to say you give alllllll this stuff back lml do you have to replace it or if something goes wrong or something do they replace it yearly or so. Is it meant to last four years ?
I don't think that my husband has quite that much in the way of gear but I could be wrong. He is in the Louisiana National Guard and is currently on active duty on Covid orders. He has been in in since 2017. We have been together since 2016, and got married last summer.
Actually anything that touched your skin you can keep like your uniform but if you brake any expensive equipment like plate carriers and night vision goggles you have to pay
1:33 Rummage, that is the word you were looking for haha questions, what do you wear right after you leave AIT, as in the day you leave? Do you wear civvie cloths or something else to the airport (if you’ll need to take a plane back home like myself after AIT)
Hey Mariah, I dont know if your are going to see this but I was watching a USAA commercial and saw a clip from this video in the commercial. I have not been on your channel in months but I thought I would let you know.
Thanks for making this video. I was curious about what military people received like the things you presented and whether or not they had to return those items. I did not know that the items needed to be returned and that a soldier might received used items. This unboxing video is great particularly watching a female because I think it is more intriguing and unique because I wondered if they received different items. Are there any items that can be kept and if so which ones? Did you say you were in the reserves or full time? If not full time do they receive new items and do not have to return them it seems like they would be worn out. Do men and women receive the same items for the most part? Great authentic video.

Things like coyote t-shirts, sports bras, briefs, can be kept. I am reserves. Men and women receive the same things depending on their jobs.

This was years ago
"I love silks"
They make me happy
They didn't give it to you is was Issued you have to give it back when you leave 😂
I stated that in the video... if you watched it.
@13:44 none of us in my company in BCT were allowed to put the cover on the "ACH" (just call it a damn helmet) at all during the entire cycle.
Oh wow, that's crazy.
Can you do a video of what job you do?
I'll try to vlog some when I go back to drill next month.
Things like the coat, and the silks I don't get why they would want that stuff back lml. People sweaty under arms been all in them shirts
Yeah.. that face mask is for cold weather... is protects you from frostbite and hypothermia.
So what’s the requirements for being able to take your military gear home after service? Helmets, plate carrier, firearms, etc?
You might luck out on gear if they have upgraded or your stuff is worn to bad to reuse. Stuff like firearms and such you wont get to keep.
@@user-neo71665
