I've been eyeing up the newest crop of classic cashmere sweaters. And by "classic," I don't mean asymmetric hems or other interesting details. Instead, I'm talking about the humble cashmere crewneck. J.Crew has one in a zillion colors, Reformation has a sustainably made one that I've loved for years, Naadam has one under $100 with cult following, and Quince has one for only $60.
Which one to recommend?
In this video, I try them all on, and highlight some of the differences. So. If you are in the market for a new cashmere crew, hopefully this will help narrow down your search!

Great video! It's good to know that the Naadam one has such long sleeves, and it looks really flattering as well! I hate it when sweaters ride up on my arms, and it happens all the time unfortunately. :/
So glad they ship internationally, I definitely want to try them out next year. Though I wish they had the $75 sweater in a v-neck as well, like they do the men's version.
J.Crew has a cropped crew neck that I love. Just snagged 2 at $42 on clearance colors. I also enjoy the quince ones. Great comparison!

Thanks for the review! I never considered getting a Jcrew one as my go-to is Naadam, but I prefer the fit of the Jcrew more. Will have to check it out!
I was surprised, too! I haven't been impressed with J.Crew cashmere in past years, but this year...wow. It's GOOD.

size small and I'm 5'3" and typically wear a size small top and size 27 jeans
Im a cashmere nut👍👍👍favorite fabric BUT I’ve found for the warmer weather merino wool from Uniqlo is my fav. Merino wool keeps you cool in the heat. If you can, I need to know the sizing on the Naadam joggers. Do they run small? Better to size up?
Great video to compare qualities in these type of sweaters. I loved the color of your QUINCE Mongolian cashmere. Is the color Oatmeal ?

So I have the boyfriend super fancy sweater from Naadam and should I get the $75 one because I already love this one. Or should I not even bother?
Oh MAN. Tough call. The benefit of the $75 one is that I wear it well into Spring...where the suuuuper thick cashmere I tend to only wear during the cold months of winter. (And then I wear it daily...but still.)
What color is the naadam? Oat meal?

Can you please speak to the pilling? Have you had any? That is my pet-peeve- they seem to pill after only a couple of wears
You bet. All cashmere sweaters pill. The length of time before they pill has to do with the length of the cashmere fibers themselves. In general, the longer the fibers, the longer it will take to pill. If a sweater is pilling after a couple of wears, that tells me the fibers aren't that long (or you are unusually hard on your cashmere. This happens to my cashmere sweatpants - sitting all day in them or even wearing them to bed causes them to pill much faster than my sweaters). In any case, *typically* the lower cost cashmere has shorter yarns and will pill faster...but they're all going to pill. I have a sweater shaver I swear by that takes care of any pilling as it pops up. I know people recommend cashmere combs for this, but I've always found that a shaver works MUCH better. Your still trying to wear the 1980s high school college look seaterjeans and tennis shoes and that looks alright if your 16 years old we had a fashion rule with my friends we could wear jeans once a week styling the sweaters with fashionable legs and sexy boots scafts jewelry would be more effective and more age appropriate ypur a beautiful woman wearing fine expensive looking clothing look that Way jeans after 35 40 must be tastefully worn otherwise we just look like we are trying to hard to bring back the good old 1980s leggings and a little bit fitted or longer is a great way to expand ypur classic wardrobe plus feel young without looking like we are going a blast from past costume party
