- The tail-end of hurricane IDA hit Nova Scotia on September 3rd 2021 - and the flood waters rose. My usually calm & quiet creek turned into a raging torrent of water - wiping out half of our GOLD mine site that we had worked so hard to setup and get to the point where we could get some actual gold in the box. Unfortunately, right when we wanted to do a clean-out after a hard fought few weeks of production - everything was upended by the massive amount of work we now have to do at the pad. The ground has collapsed, and we need massive amounts of dirt. The only thing that comes to mind.. is the BFDT... a Caterpillar 797F Mining Truck. This thing is 1/14 the size of its full size poppa.. but it can still carry HUNDREDS of pounds of Dirt. We just need to figure out a way to fill it up. I have a few tricks up my sleeve. Im determined to get this mine site up and running .. come hell or HIGH WATER! I hear there is a rumour that Michael Knight and the KITT car (from the TV show Knight Rider) may make an appearance in this film.

Welcome back to the worlds most popular RC gold mining show, seriously if this show gets any more popular it could get voted in as prime minster of Canada, which could make for some interesting times.
If you thought the RC gold mining season had a slow start for this inexperienced but budding (hehe) crew high (hehehe) on enthusiasm then in this mans opinion things just got better, no no no thats not it. ummm Interesting, no thats still not right. ummm problematic, maybe. gone to shit, that sound ok but you decide for yourself.
We join the guys in the aftermath of a storm, a storm with a little name but serious attitude, a storm which has reeked havoc across the many US states and Canadian provinces and has left the site in utter chaos. The unprovoked and unnecessary actions of this storm on both US and Canadian soil will not be tolerated and both nations have vowed to clean up and rebuild. The immense damage caused to the site has forced the boss and his crew to start again, this die hard attitude is one carried over from the boss himself, who when faced with life and death health issues he never gave up, when the non existent Alberta RC gold mining commission came in and shut him down he didnt quit, When some pissy little wannabe from across the pond came for him he stood his ground, went on holiday, moved his family then sat himself back atop his thrown where he belongs with his middle finger in the air, laughed and kept rolling as if it was nothing.

Will the bosses attitude help keep the guys motivated
will the jokes get any better
Will the site ever be the same
Is troy able to keep his feet throughout an entire show
Will the bosses cash layout for new machines and equipment payoff in the long run
Will the education of the crew ever end or will the boss need to get an educators certificate
Is the fresh green grass better than the smoked kind
Will the continued digging ever lead the crew somewhere special
Will the honesty of the crew be useful to the boss
I dont think we need these questions answered we just want to be entertained or we wouldnt be here. But if you want answers the feel free to look and listen for them we don't judge. If you don't find them here then go back through the previous 7 episodes and see if the answers are there.

What a way to start a Sunday morning! Coffee and joint in hand. You had lots of flooding but luckily no damage to the equipment. Great to see a bunch of guys having a good time. The lads are catching on quick to the machines. Cheers guy's looking forward to next Sundays video! GOLD!

Lads, savage job. I used drive a Komatsu loading shovel for a few years and never did a job as good as ye in the RC's... living in Ireland so I might be late the odd morning if you accept my CV, but with nuggets like at the start of the video during the flood, I'll do a good job. Keep up the great work.. BTW the site manager is tough, but rewards his crew well, I like it!

As a 40 year old who has always loved RC (not always able to afford this level), I enjoy watching through proxy, wishing I could do this in my back yard. Thats my true hobby and passion and when it comes to people criticizing you for what you do or try to label you, I can relate to that in spades. "You paid WHAT for that?" "Why do you want those things?" Instead of looking at the good that comes with it, they stigmatize and label you based on their own prejudice or jealousy, and they can't function without profiling, labeling and putting you in a box. Thats because the scope of their perception is much more limited than they will ever admit, and they actually have become what they claim to hate. I could go on, but they are blinded by their emotions and how they feel becomes their reality. If you spend $$$$ on rc or shooting sports or self defense, whatever, to them they feel your a showoff or are compensating or "WHY WOULD YOU EVER NEED THAT," so that's what you become to them, regardless of how untrue it really is. They are unable to see outside the box that they put themselves in to see the good that comes out of what we do.
