  • Today we are doing a DIGITAL DECLUTTER, baby. Let's simplify our iPhones to simplify our minds.
Our cell phones are addicting not because we are weak, but because they are addictive (Catherine Price, "How to Break Up with Your Phone"). Let's not sit around and feel guilty about our phone usage, rather let's make 25 simple adjustments to our phones together to make our daily phone life a little less chaotic and disruptive. We got thissssss.
    Thanks for watching!

Downtime is amazing! I like it better than do not disturb. Basically it works in that you get blocked from everything and everyone and you have to manually go in and choose what people can contact you and what apps you always can have available. So night and since I block it from 8 PM to 7 AM, and only have access to my husband and my mom and a few of my apps like meditation Google maps notes for diary. And also then all notifications are silenced too. It basically locks your phone from anything you don’t allow. If you select certain contacts to be able to get in contact with if you open your messages. Everyone else’s messages are blurred out so you don’t get distracted by then if you need to text one of your allowed contacts.

Thanks for the recommendation. I had heard of downtown, but didn’t know exactly what it did. Thanks for those examples. So helpful! Sounds like it’s really easy to personalize things. Love that. Thank you!! 🤍

Hi! Welcome to the channel! Thanks for subscribing and being here. Yay! Thank you for all the video recs. I am actually posting a Q&A with my mom this week or next week. I don't talk about my wedding/birth/how I met my husband, but I am totally down in a separate Q&A. Have the best rest of your day!! xx

Dark mode forever. It doesn't matter if it is during the day or when but when it is all dark it is a lot easier on the eyes.
    Thanks for all the tips!

I tried greyscale and agree that it's less visually engaging. But it gives me a hard time finding my apps because many use a strong color to create contrast but in greyish soup that's missing.
What actually helped was use black/white only icons which takes time and effort to set up and made me pretty angry that Apple is not providing that as a simple option.
They should, it looks SO much cleaner.

How did you get the Voicemail to be accessible in written format rather than having to call it?
