I’m in Canada, and a long time Porsche owner (since 1988) and I chose a 2017 Macan GTS delivered in March 2016 which I still own today. This was my first GTS model (of any Porsche) . I chose GTS on the basis of a Porsche World Tour Trackday where Porsche brought a full range of each vehicle to a track (Mosport) and it was clear to me that the GTS models had the “little bit extra” over a base, S, or Turbo model. Initially I put a deposit on a Macan Diesel, but those were never exported to Canada, so my next choice was to go with a GTS. I’ve never regretted that choice - great fun vehicle and versatile too. I started to watch your channel as I was thinking of adding a Spyder to my garage - trading my 720S which is “almost too fast” for Canadian roads (plus I miss my Porsche track days). It’s cool that you’re Swedish, I didn’t quite catch that in the first video! My ex-business partner was located just south of you in Linkoping! I’m always amazed by the car culture in Sweden and very much enjoy your videos!!!
The Macan is an amazing car Dennis! I loved every single moment of ownership, even bought a second one for a while. Now waiting for the electric. :) The Spyder is the most fun car I have ever owned. I actually ended up selling mine, bought a GT4 thinking I would like it better with a roof. Boy was I wrong. The Spyder is THE car to have in the 718 range. For me it’s the Touring version of the GT4, and it does everything the GT4 does but in style. In the end I ended up selling the GT4 and bought another Spyder. 🥰 It just got back from PPF, and will soon be featured on the channel. As soon as the snow is gone. Get one! You won’t regret it
What a great combo (with your Spyder in the same colour)! I too have on more than one occasion looked into the Macan GTS as my family car (I have a 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 as my fun car), but every time I concluded that my old family car is still the be(a)st (it's an RS6 Avant with an APR tune :-); now I feel like when I eventually do replace my family car it will be time to go electric (i.e. Taycan Sport Turismo GTS :-)...
It is. :) And that also means no particular filters and a sound to match it. 🥳 When looking for a daily driver I wanted something that had already taken the biggest hit in depreciation and that would be over 3 years old. (In Sweden there is a massive tax add on for cars during the first three years) Therefor the Macan GTS is the ultimate choice for me. :)

Which year Model is this one? It should be 2.9L twin turbo. same as RS4 engine. Next year the last generation will come for combustion engine.
