A couple of things the video doesn’t tell you/got wrong: - The story is meant for fans of the franchise who have a fair bit of knowledge about the story and the characters. It’s full with references which include the Light Novels and stuff not shown in the anime. Personally, I found myself satisfied with the story. - The game DOES NOT have gacha. The battle pass is free. Literally the only thing you could buy if you wanted to are the coins used to buy skin bundles WHICH CAN ALSO BE OBTAINED FOR FREE BY DOING THE BATTLE PASS AND OBTAINING GOLDEN TICKETS. - The reason he wasn’t able to find full lobbies very often is because: A- Not everyone bought the early access. And the game just came out TODAY. B- most players are gonna prioritize the story mode in order to unlock all characters. - regarding hackers, Bandai has already said they’ll take strict measures
@@Grinchpon so there is no true hype around the game if ppl didn’t preorder it? I’ve heard multiple reports all characters can be unlocked in less than 12 hours. And Bandai has a awful track record of dealing with hackers. But we shall see how things end up in 3 months for this game.
@@nasirsteed2653 there’s actually a fair amount of hype and people are enjoying the game a lot. They just didn’t see it necessary to pay so they can play only three days before the release date. Also, a few hours after I made this comment, Bandai made a tweet when they said they had banned most of the players who were cheating .
Doesn’t even need an MMORPG per se. Just needs an open world of the original 100 levels of Aincard where you can level up & interact with the characters and stuff (none of the Alfheim Online crap)
Fr! Ever since I watched SAO I been thinking that they should make a large scale mmorpg based only on Aincrad (or the new Aincrad from the second season if you want to play as different races and want magic). It could launch with the first few or so floors with each major update adding new floors until we get all 100 floors and minir updates could be events like the christmas event from the first season that had the Nicholas the Renegade boss fight (i think thats his name). And if it all goes well, they can use the same formula for the elf game (alfheim?) and GGO and maybe even Alicization (imo tho, Alicization would work better as a 1 player story game)
@@quarterpounderwithcheesebacon exactly! I’m not even asking for super over the top graphics it’s just ever since like 2020 I’ve had a special place in my heart for SAO and absolutely loved the concept but knowing that it’s probably impossible for our lifetime just want to play in its universe no matter if it’s on regular current tech or even on a super high tech vr headset
Steam player here. 10 hours into the game and I haven't seen a single cheater and every time I queued it always took less than 1 minute to get a full lobby. Might be your region or something. My biggest complaint is that the cosmetics drop rate is so abysmal, but hey, I've played Ragnarok Online before and I survived grinding for MVP cards there so I guess it's fine.
@@mohdhidayat1412 The only money I've spent so far is the money I used to buy the game initially. I'm stuck on chapter 2 of story mode which I played just to unlock my favorite characters. The multiplayer is just too fun and the loot explosion is triggering my addiction. My account rank is currently at level 48, and i've seen dungeon requirements go as high as 80 so it could be 100 for max level. My LLENN's level is currently at 66. Smurfing in the game is not very apparent because every dungeon or raid restricts stats and weapon stats to a certain level so newbies don't feel left behind. It's honestly quite fun. As someone who played Granblue Fantasy Relink (and a massive fan of the gacha game that gave birth to it) I honestly don't know why this video compares it to that. It's a different monster entirely.
@@milliumorion1849 A lot of content creators have been comparing it to it which as someone who’s also played both for an extensive amount of time I don’t think it’s a fair comparison. Sure they are both anime games with grind in mind, but that is as far as I would go in terms of similarities IMO
It took me days to see the first hacker. As someone already said, the battle pass is free and there is next to no pay content. You're making a mountain out of a molehill in most of your points frankly speaking. Also, I think it's a good idea to lock characters behind the story. It not only teaches you how the game works over multiple hours of playtime but also forces you to play characters other than your would-be main from the get-go. I found myself enjoying a lot more characters thanks to this. Oh also, lobbies usually fill pretty quickly depending on regions and timezones.
This game scratches the itch relink did for me. The combat feels objectively worse but the progression systems and 20 player co-op feel great. My biggest complaint is the lack of content once you get high level, but youll hit that in every game.
Free roam is great end game content. As well as the dlc and everything else coming. Boss raids. It has plenty of end game stuff. Plus no one is lv 100 yet. Impossible
Yeah but that's just it, the combat feels so much worse. Relink gets repetitive at the 30+ hour mark, but it holds up anyway because the combat feels great. Fractured Daydream nailed the animations, but moving and animation canceling feels like being stuck in a nightmare.
@@Musical_Nero I had mods for Relink so I managed to squeeze months out of it but even I would say it's not superior in every way. For example, finding a team is nearly impossible for some quests in Relink. And what's sad is that it was like that from day 1 because Relink botched its release. If you don't remember, Relink had crashing problems day 1 and only fixed it after a few days. Not to mention that it is still possible to cheat in Relink while I have yet to see a hacker in my SAO sessions.
Hey, an owner of the game here, the game is actually fun. Long as new content is added consistently then I can actually see this game living for a while. Plus it has something even Sparking Zero doesn't have: Cross play.
@@sofarsogoodd Combat is fun. If you aren't a fan , wait for sale. If you're a fan of SAO > buy it at normal price. It's nothing groundbreaking but it's good mindless fun that requires a little thinking every now and then.
Game is actually amazing. Globku is wrong with this take. Why are you judging a game off the beta network test demo. I played it too and been playing early access since Monday. Also have DBSZ Ultimate edition.
Yeah but story mode is dumb and nobody wants to have to do it. They should have just Scrapped the single player mode and focused on improving the online experience.
Even faster if you just... skip everything. Because yes, there is a skip function for pretty much every cutscenes. And the story quests themselves are all pretty easy to go through.
I think he should change the title to "I don't like grinding games so you shouldn't either." He dosent appreciate the excellent story cause he skipped cutscenes and dosent care for the story. This game single handedly has more pre orders than DBZSZ totally it's crazy. This is my new favorite game and is going to be that way for a while. Oh and dbzsz might flop In all honesty they are trying to hard to keep the series alive. I'm not saying you shouldn't have an opinion I'm just saying that I think it will flop it's too much for 1 game.
It’s because they struggle on focusing on one theme and like mixing the ideas many SAO players liked fatal bullet and I personally loved lost song it was fun but what I hear and seen is people want a SAO game 100 levels mmorpg but in a business stand point there it makes no sense there is a definitive end and with countless hackers scurrying the corner like roaches no person will truly have the SAO game experience
the game is fun, it's pure fanservice for sao fans, I've played like 20 hours of story mode and I'm only on chapter 3 xD, I'm going slowly exploring the maps. What I would have liked is more big bosses, so far there are only 3 and soon there will be 4, but it would have been nice to have like 10. The "battle pass" is free so it's not bad, obviously there will be more passes and with more special rewards. Play with friends to have more fun. Grand blue relink is better but this game at least promises content for a long time, at least about 8 more characters, more monsters, more cosmetics and I hope more dungeons.
@@youngjames4067 Well... the game is more oriented to the online mode, solo there is the story mode, some secondary missions that will also be brought by the next DLC and a tower mode, where you increase the difficulty using the characters to go up. But the online is the biggest attraction which are the skins, accessories, legendary weapons, the battle pass and the boss fights.
I have been really enjoying this game, I don't know what you are saying. The 20 player online mode is solid! Before the beta, I had never even watched any SOA content. It got me kind of interested in the series. I guess I can agree about some of the points you made about the single player portion. Story was decent, but it did seem longer than I was wanting. They should have doubled down on the online side, that is where the game shines in my opinion. Overall it is fun
Locking things behind a mid story mode is critically stupid. It’s so bad I have a hard time getting through it. It’s so simple to add basic story mode mechanics to make it more fun to get through or even just allow coop for it. Soloing that trash story mode is so brutal
@@kyo1546 They agree with those points to some degree, but not fully, and they also don't seem to agree with the doomposting click bait bs that this video, starting from the title, sounds. I know, youtube algorithm really loves that kind of stuff, but it gets so tiring to see. Also, call me crazy, but this videos comes off as "Don't care about the game, I just want to make some quick cash" given that he's been simping extremely hard for Sparkling Zero, and I'm not hyperboling, he's released 20 DB videos in the last month, that's 20 days of videos in 30 days.
@@kaikaseiko4983 honestly I'm getting to that point. Reviewers used to actually review games. But now it's just a butt rush to see who can say a games dookie first. It's so dumb 🤣
Of course you can. No one made you watch this. His points are completely valid, and you can't help but compare it to better games because it just feels like they dropped the ball with this one. It's the closest we're getting to a good SAO game though, it seems.
Bro wth are you talking about. I JUST beat the story mode and 3 online coops. Imo it's amazing. Best SAO game. Story mode = 9/10. Writing is amazing. Online and end game is 9/10. Already dlc road map with new story and characters ect. And boss raids and builds. Sigh. You were playing early access. I have just got online and every mode is full
@neonhaze3725 I think online is meant for the end game, free roam seems awesome. BUT there's a hard mode for the story to unlock AND there's even another mode underneath the story mode called Additional Story. Which is where I would say end game story is and dlc will be as well.
My biggest problem with the game was game feel, Grandblue Fantasy Relink set the bar unbelievably high for this type of game. In fractured, every input has some delay, there are pretty significant animation locks, and weaving in specials with combos doesn't feel good. I can't tell if this was done deliberately to make players really think about when committing to actions. If that is the case, I just don't like that decision. Clearly, it has a fanbase, and I'm happy for ya'll.
Oh dude. There's another mode to unlock after the story and it's single player, granted it needs online probably for rewards. Also the massive damage that Sinon was doing, I wouldn't be surprised they were way higher rank and had better gear for that crazy damage and they are doing lower rank stuff to help players get to higher ranks to help them out.
I played the beta and it was better than I expected, definitely the best sao game I played and I plan on getting this but sparking zero is next week and I set a budget on how much I spend per check so I have to wait until my next check to buy this 😭
I think conceptually, this is actually the best SAO game to date. Perfect, no, work needs to be done yet. But it does take all the major aspects from each game and finds a way to blend it all together into a decent game all together. Can it be repeative sure, but its by design. Another great factor is just how unique each character feels. No two are the same, even if some have similar skills... but yeah its a good SAO game. Compared to the meh fest we have had with Lyrocis, Recollection and Lost Song, its an easy improvement.
Granblue is definitely better the problem with it however is it had an end and they reached it so even if i WANTED to keep playing it theres no reason too.. Ive done everything... SAO however is a live service game so theyre gonna keep adding content to this game at least longer than the 6 months Granblue did
It's Bandai, they love money, they did a character survey and there will be at least 6 new characters in the future (apart from the 2 that are missing)
@DanielGonzalez-yf6cy i couldn't care less about nee characters. I need content, raids, boss battles, gear, lvl cap increase, dungeons etc. If all their doing if keeping the same content but adding new charters to do it with then this'll ve dead as quick as grabblue was
I agree. Relink was my life for a while, and the 7 years I waited for it after the first trailer almost seemed worth it. But despite the lack of things to do now that updates have stopped coming, the core gameplay is just so solid and fun, I don't mind going back and playing it even now. Fractured Daydream doesn't have it down. The animations are great, but man, the core combat just ain't it.
bro i got 40+ hours on the game, seen 0 hackers, story is heat because no slide panels. Idk who paid you to hate on this game but its kinda sad to see ppl making content addressing opinions about something that just came out yesterday. The only problem with sao games are the terrible content creators who waste time spreading hate like this about every game they release. If you don't like it, and compare it to GB( who is literally stealing money from you in gambling scandals) then go gamble your life away on that game then bro. This is not the content we or the sao community needs.
We're genuinely having fun with this game. Wtf do you want us to say? That it's not fun when we already have more than 20 hours into the game after it was just released? Maybe not all of us are bitter elitists.
@@sakimiyanaga6251it’s not bad at all but they have a perfect formula to make possibly the greatest anime game ever but these devs just don’t COOK enough. i think that’s why people are so harsh on any sao game and it’s understandable. i mean the greatest mobile game was sao memory defrag before it got taken down. sao is potential man
@@thecreatorr7 There's really no good way to make any SAO game without inviting the hive of SAO antis. Many haven't even watched any of the anime and just formed their opinions from their favorite influencer. This content creator for example didn't even know that the new season of the spinoff has just released which may perhaps be the reason why this game was released even though they have to contend with Sparkling Zero. In my opinion, people see the title SAO and they just go "SAO, easy dunk, easy clout"; very rarely do these people really try out the game.
Sounds to me like you’re simply lazy 🤷♂️ doing story to unlock characters only takes 2-3 hours as for actual co-op I’m rank 83 & I have had & still have 0 problems finding full lobbies for any dungeon
Anyone unable to find matches or having trouble, check your matchmaking region. It’s set to Japan by default. Your connection to that server could be affecting matchmaking times
I think everyone is exaggerating the grind a ton. I've played a few hours and unlocked half the roster. The story is interesting, and the missions aren't long. I admit that the map is pretty big, but it's not as much running as you say. Mobs spawn very frequently in between objectives. Actually, i think they spawn too much. I get the comparison to GBFR, but let's not pretend the gameplay loop isn't the exact same minus a hub area. The quests there are pretty much the exact same. The release date isn't competing with sparking at all imo. Just because they're both anime multiplayer games doesn't mean they're instantly butting heads. They offer entirely different gameplay loops, stories, and characters. Plus, SAO isn't even that popular in the West anymore. The vast majority of players are most likely asian so i highly doubt there'll be that much cannibalism between the two games. Lastly i have no idea what people mean by jank with this game. Ive yet to have any issues. Its pretty fluent outside of the stuttering in the waiting room before multiplayer missions.
As someone who actually likes lost song and Accel world vs SAO I really don't mind and actually really enjoy the story stuff😂 I'm an SAO die hard tho Already bought both SAO and Sparking Zero and metaphor my wallet is screaming. My justification is that it's my birthday month
@@aleksandarbubanja6422 yooooo 😭 I thought I was crazy. The only things I don't like in that game is like that smear effect in the field and that you can't sheath weapons ALO combat is still best in the series imo. Also what's up with no there game doing the SAO slash effect and death effect on enemies correctly
@@aleksandarbubanja6422 yeah the flight could be better for sure I think they were trying to make it better from lost song but actually made it a bit worse
I’m glad he’s at least giving the game a platform it’s fun especially as someone who doesn’t play grand blue and not interested in it even the devs stopped supporting the game too
I just need a game like Fatal Bullet (custom/original character) with online in like an open world Aincrad with all of the floors. Maybe with some more original combat or even something soulslike. It's swords, we need block parry dodge...
I call BS on the release date part. If the game had come out earlier it still would have died when Sparking Zero dropped because Sparking Zero has much more eyes on it (understandably of course) than an SAO game (in the west at least). So I think whenever it dropped wouldn't have changed anything. Dragon Ball is Dragon Ball, it's very big
It’s not big for me lol I personally don’t like dragon ball. But that’s just me. honestly I know it’s popular with a lot of other people. It’s just not for me
why do people even compare the game to sparking zero. One is a fighting game and other one is a mmo lite. Im sure some people will play it less but dead is a bit of a stretch. I dont see myself grinding Sparking or anything since its a fun fighting game that you just pick up and play when you like it.
@@Skyrus646 I'll answer your question. I don't know why people compare the two, but if I had to guess, the reason is that people want to look smart by doing comparisons, not caring whether or not they make sense. It's just ego and bias flexing.
Bruh this game is amazing what you talking about bro, but i do understand this game should have came out last month because theirs no way its competing with sparking zero 😂😂😂
Game is actually amazing. Globku is wrong with this take. I played it too and been playing early access since Monday. Also have DBSZ Ultimate edition. SAO damn near a 9/10 imo
This game is ridiculously hard to match make I literally just wanna unlock boss raids but I literally cannot find a single person to match with not even 2 freaking months later
The other Co-OP quest locations are unique loctions The "Warehouse" is a dungeon straight out of GGO / Fatal Bullet redesigned in a MMO aspect which is cool the boss is even from both the anime and game The next one is the cooler one Its the dungeon floor from the anime/manga where Asuna / Kirito / Klein all explored and fought gleam eyes and he first used his dual swords.
I’ve played the beta, the open network test and the 3 days you had if you bought the deluxe or the premium edition. I had so much fun. Genuinely a ton. I played on Asia server and got no hacker (even when playing on steam/pc), nearly no bots and had no problem what so ever. Yeah it could have more but I think they did a pretty good job with the game and it looks like they are finally starting to see what works for an sao game. You talked about the battle pass but it’s free. The only paid « content » is the game and skins that you can buy with the free currency in game. The gameplay is amazing when you get the hang of it and maximizing the most damage with your character is a lot of fun. For example I would mostly always be able to get the most damage with kirito in any quest/boss raid since I understand how I could play him, and even tho he is the « basic » character, he still has some skill involved. Same with sinnon which is riskier but also really rewarding. Hitting weak points on bosses, especially the sword golem, is really weird. From what I heard from friends and other people I talk to, they LOVED the story. To the point of saying it was the best they ever saw in sao. Not only the game but also all the other media. Yeah the game has not a lot of content but this is remedied with the gameplay loop. I know it’s not perfect but it is not bad like you are saying. Yeah it’s not the best game and it does have problems, like some weird hit boxes and the fact you need to do the story to unlock characters. But this game did a lot of good things. Could this game have been polished more? Yeah of course. But is it a great game? Fuck yeah. One of my most enjoyable game of the year
Imagine watching your trailer view counts diffed by One Piece Bounty Rush banner announcements and still having the gall to release in the same month as Sparking Zero, Rebirth of Souls, and Re Fantazio
This video kinda like comparing between Monster Hunter Wild and Tekken 8, completely different type of game. It's not like everyone love fighting or hunt/grind game. This is why I avoid game reviewer than game spoiler 😢
I am _so_ goddamn tired of hackers ruining anime games on PC. I don’t own any consoles, I love my PC, but most anime games are DEAD on PC in comparison to console (especially PlayStation). Usually I can just hope for cross play but nope, console players (justifiably) don’t want to play with PC players because of these asshat hackers. So many devs under Bandai just slap Easy(to bypass)AntiCheat into the game and call it a day to the point I’m beginning to feel like Bandai must be responsible for it somehow. Hell, I don’t even know if SAO is using EasyAntiCheat. It’s just so common that I’m willing to bet that’s what’s being used. I’ll check after I write this comment.
This game still looks very interesting and this is coming from someone who loved Hollow Realization and Fatal Bullet. (Both also had optional multiplayer but only up to 4). Though, to be fair, they were sold as more of a full offline experience, with online, so they were filled with content day one. This might be kind of like the difference between PSO and PSU. Where PSO, though online, was sold as a big package and thus a lot of content from the drop, where PSU had an MMO structure and started much smaller in MP. I remember when PSU had only one boss online. Took like a month for them to add the next planet and start expanding. Kind of amazing how PSU was able to hold onto enough of a player base to stick around for the content updates, but it did, and with very little competition on console. I guess that was the difference maker.
The devs really tried going live to show off this game directly after a new trailer of Sparking Zero. That was a bad idea. The dragon ball community was clowning on this game during the live stream.
Well to be honest the thumbnail had sparking zero for 5 minutes which made many dragon ball fans click the live stream only to know it was a sword art online game live stream and later they changed the thumbnail to sword art online.
Part that worries me is amount of people already saying they ran out content in the end game and "just wait until the dlc comes" but the game just came out
It reminds me of how I purchased the game sword Art Online gun Gale Sword Art Online fatal bullet And I totally steered away from it after a certain point in the story because it got super hard and I couldn't continue with it but I do want to finish it Because I'm that kind of person it's the same thing with Final Fantasy XV I just got stuck at certain point the story and I just stopped playing after a couple of years and then as soon as I turned like 18 II the game after I turned 19 so 19 to 20 years old And I'm currently 21 years old And I just beat the well you know the extra game version of it Where you replay from the first part of the game Foresee to replay the whole story And then I mean if you play Final Fantasy XV Yeah you know you'll be unlocking that flying car monstrous of a car I just got all weapons in the game just finished getting all weapons After I beat the game But yeah I haven't played games in like weeks now I'm sort of tired of games to be honest I've been watching more anime than playing games like the only real game I've been playing as of late is a mobile game that has been added to my Xbox lol😅 bleach brave souls Yes I've been to bleach now I would never would have guessed the day when I was into bleach But I'm actually watching the bleach series And I got Max almost all max level already he may characters in bleach brave souls Like my main three characters i used to use in the beginning of it All three of them were just orihime Now it's my max level orihime The Original soul reaper that gave the main character his soul reaper powers 🤣 And I guess some other soul reaper but I don't remember his name or I haven't seen him yet or whatever That is like my most powerful character now he's actually stronger than my orihime Oh yeah and their max level in the sense that they're like level 6 star characters and then max level on top of that But at some point I want to play and finish gun Gale Online Sword Art Online fatal bullet But I haven't been in a good mood to be able to play it there's like this one dungeon and I have to be multiple of them For certain different reasons And you're only allowed to add three members in your party The online because it's on Xbox You need gold Which by now everyone knows gold turned into core Which would be Xbox core And then if you want that with Game pass Listen to One subscription then you need the ultimate And I'm not paying for the ultimate Not with the situation I'm in right now 😅 Rather keep details confidential of course But yeah this is good to know I would still be willing to play this game maybe at some point in the future Once I built the money up for it Because despite the red flags you give I've played harder games And I'm used to it And I'm a very big sword art online fan And the only character I give a s*** about Is LENN & that's it lol😅
Just gonna leave it here. Chapter 4 quest 1 is when you unlock all the characters. For 20 online player game, it's rare. Nowadays. My buddy's liked the game. As for controls this game is ment to played with cautious. You can't just mash your way in. There is a cancel mechanic which is a orange bar, but you can't cancel out of heavy attacks. This game also didn't explain the controls of hidden actions. Every sqaure from 1 to 4 has a combo to triangle heavy like a musou game. Free roam is alot of fun. But it's a bit buggy on the AI side for now. Cheaters go to hell. Another issue is sure the gacha micro transactions is BAD.
This game seriously looks like it should have been f2p, not saying it like "wow it looks like f2p trash" but with that high player count and grind along with the store + battle pass system (i know its free but the system is there) but it looks like it design like a f2p game and would benefit from it especially to maintain the player base. Looks like a wait for a sale to just see how the player base holds up. Or buy day 1 and mega grind it to get the most of it before the player base goes
After buying and playing, my biggest gripe with the game was the price point. Main story took me roughly 15 hours to complete, and there's not nearly enough coop content to make up for it. I just hit level 30 and I'm starting to get a bit bored of the same grinds.
kinda glad i didnt get the game, beta was fun but throne and liberty released and i had to decide between dbsz or sao and that choice was obvious xD cant wait 3 more days
Yeah a lot of this just seems like yapping to diss the game. The Open Network Test was legit constant 20 player lobbies. Why? Because it was free and it was the only thing you could do. Early Access is NOT free, obviously. Most of us Early Access people were grinding the story for the characters and leveling up to PR20. That's probably what most launch people are doing now too, and the story can take a couple days. So you won't find as many people doing co-op or boss raids YET, but give it a few days and it'll most likely be up.
People when you have to pay for characters: WHY CAN'T WE UNLOCK CHARACTERS LIKE IN THE OLD TIMES THROUGH STORY PROGRESSION OR SECRET LEVELS?! People when you have to do exactly that: WHY DO WE HAVE TO UNLOCK CHARACTERS THROUGH STORY PROGRESSION?! We deserve to be wiped out like the dinosaurs.
The worst thing theyve done with these games, is that they have literally the best thing to base the game off, aincrad make a full game own character and theyll be flying.
I dont get why they didn’t stick with the oc character customisation like they did with Sao fatal bullet, they did good with that but they js had to go back to using kirito and his friends, most ppl want their own character and fatal bullet did really good with that 😊
Do you think they can somehow make a comeback? Because I was tempted to possibly give the game a try but I wouldn’t want to buy the game if it’s doomed from the start
its a decent game but its almost impossible to be good at fighting atleast on pc because if u use a ability ur stuck in the ability till in ends meaning u cant dash if a boss attacks and u cant guard
Player rank 50 and frankly I’m already burnt out… This is bit too repetitive. Characters don’t feel any stronger from player rank 1-50 and these quests are so unbelievably boring it’s hard to want to grind. Struggling over here to not just put it down already.
They don't have character creation which was already a big red flag for me, considering I had purchased sao fatal bullet. Definitely a missed opportunity.
Hi I'm new to the channel just subbed I just bought this game and I don't know if this game has multiplayer achievements and I was gonna try and platinum it
Bro is just mad that SAO is better than DBZ and fails to remember that every video game requires you to do story to unlock content. It's video gaming 101. If you're handed everything at the start, then there is no reason/motivation to play/progress the game. SAO has always been better because the voice actor of the main character actually likes people who voices his character, unlike the english voice of Goku who chastices anyone and everyone who tries to voice Goku because his poor tiny ego gets hurt at the thought of someone being better than him. That's why he helped make up fake allegations about Vic Mignogna just because he was jealous that fans loved Vic more than him.
The thing with SAO games is that they are always Story mode heavy with Online feeling like an add on, so I already knew that the exact opposite would happen here. However, I'm really annoyed that even the online mode feels butchered to some extent. This could have been the perfect time to create a legit good online experience when it comes to the things they've sort of half-assed in the past. A hub world where you could walk around and feel like you're actively engaging with an environment from the series and see other people and npcs passing by would have been nice. Instead of having a whole "Free Roam" mode, you'd already be in a free mode type of area and you can choose to go on missions by yourself, with a cpu party, or with other people if you choose so. Or you could just go out and meet people organically instead. Had they merged all of the online modes into one big mode, it would have been such a better game. I like the concept of teams of 4 slowly gathering up, but that could have easily been this games version of "Dungeons".
Definitely not a fumble. Agree that the story mode could use some work, but the co-op is so fun and I've never had trouble finding a lobby nor have I noticed hackers.
If u have it set to Asian servers you will have lobbies fill up the us server u won’t so if u want to play online change to the Asian servers in the games menus
Gating the good stuff behind the boring stuff is such a recurring theme in SAO games, Playing the first chapter of lycoris is so painful because I could watch the anime instead, let me see the new stuff!!! The beta un-sold me the game, I was already convinced I'd love it because it was made by the fatal bullet devs but the gameplay is so clunky and the camera was a deal breaker, it was beyond terrible.
If only this game was something like FATAL BULLET.. you know.. charater creations..story focus on you while Kirito and his gang there i would play it And yes the gameplay look dope af sadly no custom character..i understand this game only for SAO Canon characters i respect that for the Die hard fans :)
Oh gods, hackers on raid bosses already? I was right to be worried about that, Easy Anti Cheat won't even hold... It's heartbreaking for me to say this, but... I'm saving for MH Wilds.
The fact that you think the story is a problem is just incorrect to me, yeah sure it's an opinion but you tell it like it's a fact. I didn't have an issue with the story till I was getting closer to the end, (and yes that includes the fact it's how you unlock characters), and that's just cause I was playing most of it in a single sitting and was getting fatigued from doing it non-stop, which is my fault for not taking a break after like 10-15 hours lol. Outside of the story however the game is just grind grind grind grind grind grind grind grind grind, and usually the same map which unless your about that mindset you'd get bored pretty quickly because repetition. The rest can be fair points but at least in all my time playing I haven't seen anyone with crazy numbers like you showed lol, so maybe that part is fixed. here is the problem I have, you basically said (and I'm tldring) it would be better without the story mode and basically should have focused solely on the multiplayer part because that's what's fun, but here is the issue with that. I don't tend to play multiplayer in games and like single player content, I bought the biggest edition of this game and if they had focused solely on the multiplayer and mostly ignored single player content, I wouldn't have bought the game. I ofc played the multiplayer after cause the game is fun but i have a few minor issues with it, like the game crashing and you getting a stacking penalty for disconnecting with no way to report it to clear your name and multiple time where the game just wouldn't let me choose a character after someone took the one I wanted, and not letting you leave a session before the match actually starts if you cant choose the character you want/are leveling up, and quitting during a match through the pause menu gives you a disconnection penalty, which I don't even understand why they include the option to quit the mission, not the game or return to title to leave the mission it's self and go back to the lobby cause at that point don't include the option. But the fact you can be unable to choose a character and then have one randomly assigned to you based on availability and what roles are missing and the game thinks needs filled, which can be a character you have never played and have no idea how to play and have no gear for but are forced to use cause the game say's so, then get dropped in the mission and if you open the pause menu and select leave mission (which you are a liability at that point nothing more, a waste of slot), you get a disconnection penalty for it and unable to play the game for a period of time based on how many disconnection stacks you have, which crashing counts towards. Now I never really watched the anime but I played most of the games cause SAO usually does a great job making the games really fun and the story entertaining and then after the multiplayer content is a nice cherry on top getting to play the raid missions and explore with others.
A couple of things the video doesn’t tell you/got wrong:
- The story is meant for fans of the franchise who have a fair bit of knowledge about the story and the characters.
- The reason he wasn’t able to find full lobbies very often is because:
A- Not everyone bought the early access. And the game just came out TODAY.
B- most players are gonna prioritize the story mode in order to unlock all characters.
- regarding hackers, Bandai has already said they’ll take strict measures
Finally! Someone says it
Thank you for saying those things. I also figured those things out during me watching this video. You are a godsend, mate 😎👍😌
Also, yes you could unlock all characters in 12 hours but some people take their time trying to 100% each quest
Wait SAO still exist 😭 and why do the refuse to just make a MMORPG based off the game
Doesn’t even need an MMORPG per se. Just needs an open world of the original 100 levels of Aincard where you can level up & interact with the characters and stuff (none of the Alfheim Online crap)
They already did its called Integral Factor
@@Nogalation integral factor is not on console afaik
Yea, just play in Asia servers it doesn’t lag at all
did u spend any money on the game? how far does the game go? i mean the max level
@@milliumorion1849agreed. I have like 30+ hrs in
@@milliumorion1849 A lot of content creators have been comparing it to it which as someone who’s also played both for an extensive amount of time I don’t think it’s a fair comparison.
Completely agree. Game is amazing imo
With that mindset,I will buy the game. Nice comment
Unlocking characters made me play the single player, it's a good idea.
That and the unlockable cosmetics
Agree to eveything you said!
The like is for that Shana pic tho! XD
Impossible
Brax what are u doing here :0 big fan here lel
Lol braxo no more playing HSR??
Hey, an owner of the game here, the game is actually fun. Long as new content is added consistently then I can actually see this game living for a while. Plus it has something even Sparking Zero doesn't have: Cross play.

Man if u dont care bout story like me and skipped all cutscenes to unlock all characters it was fine im having a blast playing online now
It's good the option was there. The way he was talking 😂 I thought it wasn't
The characters can be all unlocked in like a day or 2 and I only played like a couple hours a day.
Yeah but story mode is dumb and nobody wants to have to do it. They should have just Scrapped the single player mode and focused on improving the online experience.
I unlocked the characters in one day it’s not even a grind
Even faster if you just... skip everything. Because yes, there is a skip function for pretty much every cutscenes.
And the story quests themselves are all pretty easy to go through.
I think he should change the title to "I don't like grinding games so you shouldn't either." He dosent appreciate the excellent story cause he skipped cutscenes and dosent care for the story. This game single handedly has more pre orders than DBZSZ totally it's crazy. This is my new favorite game and is going to be that way for a while.
Oh and dbzsz might flop In all honesty they are trying to hard to keep the series alive. I'm not saying you shouldn't have an opinion I'm just saying that I think it will flop it's too much for 1 game.
they really made an anime based on a video game, but fumbled making a video game out of said anime
It’s because they struggle on focusing on one theme and like mixing the ideas many SAO players liked fatal bullet and I personally loved lost song it was fun but what I hear and seen is people want a SAO game 100 levels mmorpg but in a business stand point there it makes no sense there is a definitive end and with countless hackers scurrying the corner like roaches no person will truly have the SAO game experience
lmao, dude, first time? Welcome to the shitshow that is SAO games. Enjoy your stay, you have a hefty backlog to see.
That's cause they can't make an SAO Game without having Kirito cheat on Asuna lmao.
the game is fun, it's pure fanservice for sao fans, I've played like 20 hours of story mode and I'm only on chapter 3 xD, I'm going slowly exploring the maps.
They will.
how much of the game is playabale offline? im mainly a solo player and wanna know if you can still do much alone/without a connection
Right it is fun
Yeah this game fun but they should have released it in September
Locking things behind a mid story mode is critically stupid. It’s so bad I have a hard time getting through it. It’s so simple to add basic story mode mechanics to make it more fun to get through or even just allow coop for it. Soloing that trash story mode is so brutal
In disbelief that you took this confused tone as you proceeded to make the exact same points he made in the video. You didn't disagree on anything 😅
@@kyo1546 They agree with those points to some degree, but not fully, and they also don't seem to agree with the doomposting click bait bs that this video, starting from the title, sounds.

Is there endgame content for the story mode? Or is the online in a sense the endgame content ?
@neonhaze3725 I think online is meant for the end game, free roam seems awesome. BUT there's a hard mode for the story to unlock AND there's even another mode underneath the story mode called Additional Story. Which is where I would say end game story is and dlc will be as well.
Better than last recollection
will there be a sale for the game soon? since the game is rather expensive to me(5 times due to currency value)

Can’t edit comments on mobile but OH HEY SAO:FD USES EASYANTICHEAT WHO COULDVE GUESSED.
From what I've seen, the warehouses are based on fatal bullet, the GGO game, which I find as a nice detail
Oof… I was under the impression that we finally were gonna be able to do story mode cooperatively.
So the Dragon Ball community is filled with a bunch of cringe toxic losers? Good to know.
Well to be honest the thumbnail had sparking zero for 5 minutes which made many dragon ball fans click the live stream only to know it was a sword art online game live stream and later they changed the thumbnail to sword art online.
The db community clown on everything, even themselves.
Part that worries me is amount of people already saying they ran out content in the end game and "just wait until the dlc comes" but the game just came out
But but but.... Muh Sao game iz gud coz i say so
It reminds me of how I purchased the game sword Art Online gun Gale
Sword Art Online fatal bullet
And I totally steered away from it after a certain point in the story because it got super hard and I couldn't continue with it but I do want to finish it
Because I'm that kind of person it's the same thing with Final Fantasy XV
I just got stuck at certain point the story and I just stopped playing after a couple of years and then as soon as I turned like 18 II the game after I turned 19 so 19 to 20 years old
And I'm currently 21 years old
And I just beat the well you know the extra game version of it
Where you replay from the first part of the game
Foresee to replay the whole story
And then I mean if you play Final Fantasy XV
Yeah you know you'll be unlocking that flying car monstrous of a car
I just got all weapons in the game just finished getting all weapons
After I beat the game
But yeah I haven't played games in like weeks now
I'm sort of tired of games to be honest
I've been watching more anime than playing games like the only real game I've been playing as of late is a mobile game that has been added to my Xbox lol😅 bleach brave souls
Yes I've been to bleach now I would never would have guessed the day when I was into bleach
But I'm actually watching the bleach series
And I got Max almost all max level already he may characters in bleach brave souls
Like my main three characters i used to use in the beginning of it
All three of them were just orihime
Now it's my max level orihime
The Original soul reaper that gave the main character his soul reaper powers 🤣
And I guess some other soul reaper but I don't remember his name or I haven't seen him yet or whatever
That is like my most powerful character now he's actually stronger than my orihime
Oh yeah and their max level in the sense that they're like level 6 star characters and then max level on top of that
But at some point I want to play and finish gun Gale Online
Sword Art Online fatal bullet
But I haven't been in a good mood to be able to play it there's like this one dungeon and I have to be multiple of them
For certain different reasons
And you're only allowed to add three members in your party
The online because it's on Xbox
You need gold
Which by now everyone knows gold turned into core
Which would be Xbox core
And then if you want that with Game pass
Listen to One subscription then you need the ultimate
And I'm not paying for the ultimate
Not with the situation I'm in right now
😅 Rather keep details confidential of course
But yeah this is good to know
I would still be willing to play this game maybe at some point in the future
Once I built the money up for it
Because despite the red flags you give
I've played harder games
And I'm used to it
And I'm a very big sword art online fan
And the only character I give a s*** about
Is LENN & that's it lol😅
And don't forget you can't make your own character in the game to
Just gonna leave it here.
I love this game but everything you said was fair.
Once again this is the same person who like ros so I’m not taking this serious
We deserve to be wiped out like the dinosaurs.
this a L take buddy
The worst thing theyve done with these games, is that they have literally the best thing to base the game off, aincrad make a full game own character and theyll be flying.
This game was released at the same time as SAO Alternative. Tourists don't even do their research.
Best sao game is lost song
Same imo but this one is pretty tied with it. Along with potential to surpass it.
I dont get it. U can just get both sparking and SAO 🤷♂️
So I should get granblue over this then?
its a decent game but its almost impossible to be good at fighting atleast on pc because if u use a ability ur stuck in the ability till in ends meaning u cant dash if a boss attacks and u cant guard
Player rank 50 and frankly I’m already burnt out… This is bit too repetitive. Characters don’t feel any stronger from player rank 1-50 and these quests are so unbelievably boring it’s hard to want to grind. Struggling over here to not just put it down already.
I've been having a lot of fun with the game, to each their own man
Agreed. Completely disagree with Globku on this one
They don't have character creation which was already a big red flag for me, considering I had purchased sao fatal bullet. Definitely a missed opportunity.
Hi I'm new to the channel just subbed I just bought this game and I don't know if this game has multiplayer achievements and I was gonna try and platinum it
5:06 i think its also down to server region. In Asia, it is almost always packed with players
I don’t know why they didn’t let you create your own character like in fatal bullet
I want an SAO where you make your own character.
Fatal Bullet
Alot of things with this game you won't understand if you are an anime only it's quite that simple.
They can just make an actual game based of sword art online no kirito no nobody just a game in that world what’s so hard about that
Bro is just mad that SAO is better than DBZ and fails to remember that every video game requires you to do story to unlock content.
Damn I've never encountered a hacker
I have a question can you change the skills on theas characters or are you tstuck with the same 4 skills for there entire progression
the game has mostly positive reviews on steam and has concurrent fan's coming back to play/players, the game will be fine for at least a year or 2
So the story is like Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links where everyone memories mergus together to make characters who have died in the past
are you going to review the new tokyo ghoul mobile game when it comes out?
Definitely not a fumble. Agree that the story mode could use some work, but the co-op is so fun and I've never had trouble finding a lobby nor have I noticed hackers.
If u have it set to Asian servers you will have lobbies fill up the us server u won’t so if u want to play online change to the Asian servers in the games menus
You cant use sparking zeros early access date and not use SAOs to say they should have given the game a week to itself
nobody paying attention to any other then sparking zero seems like 😂
had one sword art game ruin me with a recap and have never looked at any other of the games
Bruh almost every game makes you play story to unlock characters that’s not new at all
He's cooked ? Like wtf same shit with demon slayer he retarded
It would be good if we can make our own characters rather than playing the given ones
this is the point of the whole game ,-,
If only this game was something like FATAL BULLET.. you know.. charater creations..story focus on you while Kirito and his gang there i would play it
And yes the gameplay look dope af sadly no custom character..i understand this game only for SAO Canon characters i respect that for the Die hard fans :)
Oh gods, hackers on raid bosses already? I was right to be worried about that, Easy Anti Cheat won't even hold...
It's heartbreaking for me to say this, but... I'm saving for MH Wilds.
Whats the game name?
Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream
