Love your videos Serena ❤ One thing I’ve found most flattering with wide leg jeans is a more fitted top and a slim shoe. It balances the outfit by showing a little body definition. Otherwise we are swimming in clothes. High waisted helps the proportions and makes our waist look smaller. Who doesn’t want that! I’m 67 and just started wearing high waisted one year ago this month. I love them! Blessings ❤️
Me too! I wore the Regan Vionic boot which is slim and a fitted vertical princess seamed top with open neckline and small little collar with my wide leg jeans - it look like I lost 5 or 10 lbs. ha!

Serena, Hi I never comment but today I felt that I should tell you why some of us don't like the cropped pants. I am 5 foot 7 and have a size 9 to 91/2 shoe size and short pants really accentuate how big my feet are. I really like your channel and have no trouble finding your description boxes. Great Video! I haven't worn my wide leg jeans since Fall but did wear them for 2 days straight last week. ha! I actually bought them thinking it would be super fast at the doctor office to check out my knee & it was. I got a size 16 in girls at Gap here and took to have hemmed. They are perfect long length tailored to me and have a adjustable band for waistline inside of them. I wore with a vertical seamed fitted top from Anthropologie& it flowed together nicely and I got height out of it with my 3 inch new Vionic boots. Makes you look super slim. Im not much of a front tucker with these jeans - I like the blouse or top to come over the high waist line just a bit and the top to be fitted . My favorite style is the flare or bootcut jeans but these weren't bad and will wear again. I love that purple sweater on you! Thanks for showing us other ways to style the wide leg for versatility. You have a natural talent! For reference I am a 2P in jeans and under 5'0' if you want to check out the girls section.

I think the white shirt with the leggings looks super cute, and I like it the way it is. The reason I think the length works on this shirt, is because it’s meant to be long, and it’s not super oversized anywhere else. It’s very cute on you. The wide leg jeans are super cute on you too. I ordered the white leggings blouse in petite. I have the black pants already and I have the coat/sweater you wore over it. It was a bit expensive but I think I will get a lot of wear out of it. Pretty much a classic I think. Thanks for showing the outfits. I am challenged when it come to pairing thing together so your channel really helps me.

The lavender sweater is a great color on you. I agree with others that the petite version of the white shirt might be a better porportion for you. The image on the website shows it quite a bit shorter on the model there.

I try to show a variety of price points on my channel. From Walmart to Nordstrom & everything in between.
I live on a ranch so my need for dressed up looks is limited.. but I like to learn what is classic and flattering and how to modernize the classic clothes I have..if I need or want to. I don't wear out my dressier clothes nearly as much as I do my ranch/riding clothes..but I have learned to shop in my closet and update a little bit once in a while. I don't buy a lot of new pieces ..but this channel helps me get the most out of what I have and what I buy.

The white tunic shirt is too long. Try the petite and in a smaller size as it looks too big on you. I agree, the wide leg jeans are too big and you need the 4, for sure. I also think the white sweater towards the end looks too big, but I understand the big cozy comfy look, as I do the same. As a woman almost 60 who loves fashion, I really enjoy your videos. 😊

We have the same shape, I usually do a front tuck to hide my flat booty on the days I don’t want to wear a jacket 😂 regarding the long shirt, you can try a very skinny white belt, it gives it a peplum effect but it’s monochromatic so you don’t get the Peter Pan vibe lol size of belts for our body type matters, a regular 1” can be overwhelming so I have found that skinny belts work better.

Have you ever tried putting a belt around your hips instead? It really has worked for me, even young teens commenting on my outfits. My sister-in-law muttered under her breath (when I was the only one in the room), "she's wearing a belt on her hips," while looking a bit green with envy... Her belly had just gotten big enough that that wouldn't work for her any more, but my tummy hadn't yet (it did, but I've lost 30 lbs for now, and styles seem to be working with that style tip again....at least, IMHO).....

Regarding the white legging top, I think the regular is doable, but the petite would probably be better for you. No belt! It did nothing for you. It made you look scrunched up at the top and very busty. Loved the Nick & Zoey sweater - cream and mauve colors, with jeans, and brown boots. That's definitely something I would wear.
