- Soviet-style main battle tanks are easily recognisable: they have a low profile, a large-caliber gun, and sturdy armor. Today we’re going to talk about the best representative of this big family of armored vehicles, from the iconic T-54 to more exotic tanks from China and Finland.

T-64 series is definitely my favorite. Here’s hoping for more variants of the T-64 in the game

my tops would be T44-100, T64A, T72B. just very good tanks and pretty looking too
T-80 bvm also has the great non explosive ammo in it so it doesnt need blowout panels
also its great ERA can stop DM53 from penetrating its side armor
also with secrit armor any shot that penetrates will not create any spall so you need direct hits on the crew and components to damage/destroy them
therefore in game it can achieve a balanced 80% winrate in 11.7 ground RB

@@deanromania6748 It's unarguably the worst. It still uses the 100mm rifled D-10T2S (locally produced & modified as AK-308). It can't pen any of the MBTs of the nations Romania is surrounded by from the front, while all their tanks can pen the TR85 anywhere their aim. Romania & Israel claim the BM-412 Sg APFSDS-T (M309 as marketed by Israel) can pen 444mm @ 0deg, yet that is highly optimistic for a 100mm APFSDS projectile coming out of a D-10T2S like cannon. While everyone surrounding Romania has T-72's (Serbian made M-84 variants included)(Serbia, Bulgaria, Hungary), T-64's (Moldova/Transnistria), and/or Leopard 2A4/2A7+ (Hungary). As cool as it is to still be rolling around with a 100mm rifled tank gun, it just can't compare to the 120 & 125mm smoothbores in service these days. The breach is just not long enough to fit a meaningful long rod penetrator that is needed in modern tank on tank combat. This is without even getting into the subpar armor, and 840hp engine, meaning it can't withstand a shot from any of those tanks mentioned, and can't flank them.

My favorites are the premium ones with ERA that they added ages ago just after they made HEATFS stock instead of APFSDS for American top tier.

Just wanted to mention that I was looking at the models for the Tornado’s for Italy and Germany, and I noticed that they both had a fuel tank in the tail. However only the British tornado should have this fuel tank.
I don't know if it counts but the object 122 is my favorite. Those missiles are a really good as back up/anti helicopter.
I noticed that there hasn't been any monthly unique decals like we used to have back then. The last of such thing happened in December 2022. What happened to the decal mini event? It was such a nice thing for me to grind

T-54 is my favorite because it is one of our Vietnamese tanks in Vietnam War. Hope Gaijin can add more aircrafts and tanks in the future

I just got the T-80 UMK squad vehicle, those auto loading reload speeds are no joke.
Mine is T 80bvm excellent top speed and reverse speed,fast reload, powerful round, the best combination of armor , a good fire control system and very good survivability.
My favorite is honestly the T-72M2 love that 30 mm autocannon.
Gaijin does get a lot of things wrong about the moderna
@@kralicidoupe385 not that I personally care too much, I just find it a fun vehicle to drive at top tier where most things are just 1 gun, shoot sabot or missile, an MBT with an autocannon that can actually kill things is a refreshing change, doesn’t hurt that it has gen 2 thermals and commander’s override with CITV.

the Moderna is amazing, it usually wins one on one fights and the Tapna round makes quick work of any tank at its br
My favourite is the T-55A, the T-34-85 and the T-54 (1949)
Especially the T-55A because I just like it and I'm pretty good with it
I love all T72's, amazing tanks and its such a pleasure to destroyed leopard 2's with them, western tanks players feel too protected by their armor so they always rush into the middle of the battle - making them easy targets 👌 many people will cry and moan about what i'll have to say - but come on Gaijin, its time for the T90M and BMPT Terminator.
T-72B (1989) is really fun to play. Most enemies just can't scratch you frontally if you hide the lower glacis. Also can't wait for T90M.

T-80BVM is my favourite russia mbt .. the engine so great, great turret rotation and gun elevation (40° turret rotation speed, 40° gun elevation speed) when crew reach "ace" level .. 6.5 second auto-loading system .. 😁

Very resilient in game for some odd reason
As of lately I have been having a lot of fun with the T-90A it has been a fantastic performer as it has access to the best round 3BM60 svinets at only 10.7 BR making it really fun to downtier. It can also take a beating from auto cannon tanks too. Also, The T-72B mod 1989 is also a really good performer with the Kontakt 5 armour and can take more hits than the standard version. More people should give it a chance.
Also gaijin we know the armata and T-90M won’t be the game anytime soon but it’s time to put the BMPT in the game soon !

We Chinese players call these soviet-style MBTs ‘锅盖头’, which literally translates to 'frying pan head'. Coz their turrets look like an upside down frying pan stuck to a tank chassis.🤔🤔

Playing Soviet Top Tier is a guaranteed win.. Best SPAA Pantsir, Best tanks T-72B3 and T-80BVM, best helicopter Ka-50, best jet fighter Mig-29, best ground attacker Su-25. BIAS is strong.

Only reason russia dominates top tier is the 1 death leavers on nato teams. Yes the pantsir shouldn't have been added imo because there is no equal in other tech trees but nato players die once assume its already lost and leave resulting in a steamroll reinforcing the idea that playing against russia is autoload and then the loop restarts
adats is no worse than pantsir - MIM146 missile is more maneuverable and can destroy tanks. The best tank is Strv-122, the Soviets have only 1 good tank - T-80BVM. The best heli is Ka-52, Ah.Mk.1, Tiger UHT, the most OP heli is the Chinese Z-10 (16 TY-90 and 23mm gun with aimbot). "Su-25" - no, MiG-27M/K and Su-17M4 are much better. France has the best ground attackers - Mirage-2000D-R1 and 2000-5F (both have a thermal, 2 guided missiles + 2-3 guided bombs + 2-3 unguided bombs + 2 AA missiles).
