Looking great... Little hint to ponder... Trade your box pusher and snow blade on a power V plow... It's the best of both worlds....its a v-plow...... power angle plow....and a reverse v-snow pusher.. it's 3 units on the front in 1 unit ... A much needed deep snow clearing peice👍👍
I just came across your channel a couple days ago. I see you are struggling with snow and equipment. I also noticed you drove through Afton Wy. So we are close. I’ve been doing snow removal almost 30 years in the Jackson, Wy area. You just need a little help on technique and equipment which come with experience and you could save a bunch of time and headache. I’m happy to help, just message me. You guys are on the right track!
Heath should be getting close to getting his plow truck done.Oh the back blade yup i was alone and said a lot of words to mine ended up digging out the 20 year old walking snowblower 45min turned into three hrs heavy wet snow.Yes walking away does work out at times.Anyway's guy's you did it well done and MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all
You guys need a retired county plow truck with either a V blade and a wing or a standard blade and wing. That would be so much more practical for the road
Another great video , I do like to visit snow just to go skiing , but Im glad I live in Australia and only have the beach to contend with !!! Merry Christmas and a trouble free New Year !!! 😀😀
Great teamwork, awesome wife! … I got a good one too that will pitch in, and she is a healthcare worker also. These kind of women are rare and precious! And honestly, in my case, has helped me be a better man than I would have otherwise been. Sometimes it takes their simple wisdom to stop, rest, and reset.
I just showed this to my wife (the nurse) She just came home from a long shift. Thank you nurses are special kind of people. These are very kind comments.
You have your back blade at too much of an angle that's why you can't keep the tractor straight..... With what heavy snow and a lot of it better off just using the bucket... Or at least the snow pusher
Just a tip on the brakes...I use the emergency brake since it's a cable and ratchet. My 93 S10 is overdue for a brake job so moving it around gets to be a trick. Real steep hills like you have will probably just slow it down. Stay warm and stay safe.
Great video as always my friend. A little tip for the back blade, if you decrease the angle of the blade a bit it will help keep the tractor more in a straight line. Keep up the great content!
It's always a pleasure to watch you and your family do the things necessary to live your life where you are!! Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!! Stay safe my friends.🤓👍🤓👍Randy.
I used to battle the elements in Wisconsin. I have been in Hawaii for 81/2 years so far. I miss snowmobiling, but not the snow shoveling, especially off of the roofs! Merry Christmas
Owning property far enough away from town to allow the freedoms y’all have will always cost a bit more time and require patience, but as you said SOOO worth it to have the lifestyle that gives you peace
Wow guys I certainly can feel your pain. Our pickup has been stuck twice this year tractor got stuck and almost put it on its side. We call all these little mishaps the North Idaho off grid gods asking us if we are still sure about our decisions.
I love your determination, and the support you give each other. You are both inspiring. Nice teamwork to get this tractor out of an unfortunate position. I also live on sloping ground, which can sometimes lead to dangerous situations. With such a quantity of snow, it becomes more difficult to spot the edges of the road, and a tractor with a high center of gravity can easily overturn.
I enjoy watching your hard work. 30 yrs ago thought about doing that. We have our oasis in the city - I married well, but out of town wouldn’t have easily worked. Most recent storms, we stayed in and abused natural gas and electric, but I prepped generator, and have a stockpile of wood good for a month. Fortunately, we didn’t need the prep. Surprising how many people in town could, but don’t. Many times, we’ve been the only house on the street with heat and lights. Most often, I plug gas furnace into the generator, but if power is off overnight, then stoke up the wood stove. We don’t use the wood stove much as the wood costs me more than natural gas. In January 2020 our furnace failed, so then I heated 6-1/2 weeks on wood. Took my time to find a brand/company/price. What I thought funny when getting quotes, I’d load up the stove to heat house to 80 while they were here and pretend it’s normal. It’s fun to make them sweat.
I'm sure you have thought about this. However what about getting a skid steer with a snowblower specifically for the main road? I know Heath has talked about that. If you both had one it might help you both to not have to be out there for so long and more time on the projects that I'm sure you'd prefer to spend your time on. Just a thought. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Stay safe with that Arctic Blast that’s on its way guys. Patience, persistence and a love for where you live will see you through the worst of this. Wishing you and yours all a very Merry Christmas and a safe, prosperous and Happy New Year from Brisbane Australia! 💫❤️💫🎄🎅🏻🎁🎉🇦🇺
You guys are courageous enough to tackle the elements and keep your lives intact, not many can do what you’ve chosen to do. Merry Christmas 🎄 And Happy New Year, be well and safe, much love to all ❤
Looks like we have the same plow, except mine is orange. Same thing happened to ours. The steel ripped at all 4 corners. The bolts all came loose. Good luck getting it repaired.
Don't know but sound like you and red poppy need to look into a use snow blower for one of your tractor to keep road wide. It sure way out past tree line. Red poppy keep talking skidder ok but they to have blower. I'll going to find a video I saw of another off grid family that just bout a use vehicle
Another thought red poppy know how to work on diesel, why not getting a small construction dozer to maintain rd. And widen rd make it a community item we're every one share cost,🤔
Plus you have an excavator and if poppy ever get his from them back yard mechanics. Next summer why don't you guy wide the curves up and tight areas. Even if you do a little every summer . It would pay off in winter. Even creat pull off
You have great videos and I'm sure your numbers will climb. I'm not a UA-camr, just an old man from Texas. I can tell your learning how to make videos, but you are really doing great job. It might now seem like it to you, but you are. Keep them coming. Just a little less of the "very" fast forward in the videos. My brain doesn't work that fast HAHAHAH!
Great teamwork! And such a wise time to call it a day. A fresh start feels much better, and it gives such a boost when the problem gets solved so smoothly. I'm wondering if those getaway turkeys are always the same ones? And are they always getting out at the same spot?
That’s a good tool to have in your arsenal I had one of those for my 55 hp Mahindra that I had and it worked awesome. However you are going to have a extremely sore neck and sore back using one of those. Of course that’s if you’re getting a PTO driven one
SNOW BLOWER, plowing snow with anything is terrible on the equipment and the plow. Up where you guys are you need a snow blower to get that snow way off away from the road...a lot less wear and tear on your equipment using a blower instead of trying to use a plow, and in reality all you are doing is using that plow as a battering ram...and all its battering is your equipment. Take some lessons from Heath and the number of plow trucks he's torn up. Scrap that homeowner snow plow, and get a snow blower.
WHY would anyone choose to live in such a harsh climate without the proper equipment for snow removal??? I would think a snow blower on a tracked skid steer or something would be the way to go, blowing seems to be better than pushing !!!
absolutely correct… the plows have always been sufficient but our use of the property in the past year has increased the number of areas we need full time access to, which has definitely caused us to reevaluate. Blower is definitely in the plan.

One common theme is great teamwork

I weld everything that is bolted on .

love your channel.
I set my pusher about 6" off the deck and the rear blade to the ground. That works good to about 18" snow depth for me.
Looks fun. At some point a tractor mounted snowblower needs to be in the equation. Pick it up and move it off the road. Etc.
Merry Christmas from Sweden!🌹🌹🌹🌹
Marry Christmas:)

Well you made me 😢 Sounds like you found your soulmate 🙏❤️😘
I have one of those as well (working on 55 years) and I thank God for each and every one. They make us all better men and therefore a better world.
I just showed this to my wife (the nurse)
She just came home from a long shift. Thank you nurses are special kind of people. These are very kind comments.
Need some weighted tires or rim weights
Merry Christmas 🎄
Partnership is the enabling behavior I'm impressed
skidsteer with snowblower...done and done
Greetings from Central Texas it was 16° last night but no snow no precipitation just a lot of cold and wind
Hopefully you have power 🙏❤️
@@karengossett1475 we do, the electric coop is very good
Great video Mark and your wife
Thanks 👍
I hope RPR got that plow truck sorted out. Looks like all you guys need snowblowers on skid steers.
A snowblower may be a better choice to do the job. Just need shoes set higher
I feel like it's a snowed-in until spring moment! Merry Christmas.

I know how hard it is in the winter out in the country. Never a dull moment when it snows.
That view makes it worthwhile.

👌 teamwork getting out of a sticky situation 👍

We didn’t get as much snow that was expected but Lord have mercy, the Wind and low temperatures 🤯 I am praying for everyone’s safety 🙏❤️😘

Winter is no joke this year. It came in full force early and hard. Awesome teamwork you two! Merry Christmas to your whole family!
Happy holidays!
Always a treat when you post a video Marc. Thanks for sharing the family journey and I pray you all stay safe over the holiday season

Wonder if a tracked blower would push through a little easier ? Great job Anyhow, didn't realize you were in red poppys neighborhood 👍
Wouldn’t a snow blower fitted to the tractor be more efficient?
We just got to fine one:)
Hi Marc. Great channel with family working together! God bless and take care from your California subscriber thanks to RPR.
Thanks, you too!
Do you have any liquid weight in all 4 tires ?....bolt on more center wheel round weights
Yeah absolutely!! All 4 tires have beet pulp ballast.
I see the team work - making headway to the dream work - good job guys - Merry Christmas- Happy New Year- stay safe !!!
I have a ?. Is a snowblower a better tool for your location.
👍👍👍👍👍👌

Is that a titan brand plow?
Its been marketed under Titan but this one is unbranded and we got it from one of the auctions.
Hopefully your lovely wife is okay! Keep up with the great videos. You are one hard worker n
I almost bought one of those plows last year. I decided not to for the same reasons your experiencing.
If you feel so inclined to, you can visit my channel and watch how I setup my track loader. The video #30 would be the one
ill check it out, blower is definitely in the upgrade plan
