This is a bop, i'm glad that SM give him this kind of song like a subtle way of saying that they are on his side
A subtle way?? They debuted this man as a soloist despite being unable to defend him or the accusations. He was seen in pictures with Chris Lee during his hiatus when Chris posted nothing in support of WayV or their comeback. They've tried to soft launch him multiple times since August 2021 to gauge what the overall reception of his return would be. It's been blindingly obvious that SM do not care that he gaslighted multiple ex-girlfriends and that they have never wanted to miss out on their fave NCT money-maker's profits.
@@katr_i_na Let me show you my view. SM would have never give him a solo and this song, if he had gaslighted multiple ex-girlfriends. In Korea it is hard to get anywhere, if you have a partner. So i think at most he had something with some girls. We will never know the truth. But this song is a statement.

Quite frankly, a lot of crowd-sourced research went into debunking the allegations to the point where Lucas deservedly could have sued for defamation. SM has long had a habit of making their idols "apologize" whether they were guilty or something or not. It's also a cultural thing to apologize for bringing shame to the company, just by virtue of being named in a scandal.

Yess, your the first reactor that has actually understood the concept of the press conference and the journalists/media. also the fact that the media is negatively portraying him as a rat. the only ones who feel as though this song is too much, its because they know that the lyrics are directed towards them (haters)

WayV Phantom MV was also talking about this issue, yhey showed the visuals of daggers flying at them out of nowhere, one of the members was taking off a mask, and it showed another mask under it, and then another... They talked about these "phantoms" hiding in the shadows of the internet anonimity and going after them to being them down...
Also, izd like to believe that NCT 127 "Favt Check" is also refering to all of these, how people just spread whatever about you, no matter the actions you showed, they would just say whatever and not FACT CHECK at all.....

Most accusations (probably all) are accusations that fall by themselves. but his company prefers to keep the sasaeng happy. In this song he tries to prove innocence.

I hope one day he will be able to talk freely about all he’s been through. But for now, he’s expressing himself through his art and it’s amazing. I’m sad he’s no longer in NCT, but I’m looking forward to his journey as a solo artist

context of what happened :
Lucas exposed his stalker and she made whole bunch of rumors on him which were proven false by clear evidence. She is an active NCT stalker till now. He apologized for exposing his stalker in documentary. Its not fair but that's what SM is known for (they always made their idols apologize even if its not their fault). The song clearly explained his story and stubbornness of haters who still wish to bring him down. But now he's back and strong.

It's my first time watching your videos and i love how serious you are about really interpreting the lyrics, the mv, the explicit and implicit storyline. I've never seen anyother "reaction youtubers" really take the time to analyse and absorb the concept in a logical way. They always just react, and i'm not saying they are wrong, but you just added another level to these simple reactions videos.

this was a clean comeback/ solo debuts . 21/2 years long overdue for no reason. He came back directly and that’s very rare especially for SM👀

Love your intellectual breakdown. My interpretation is that he was ready to board that plane and disappear (his Plan B) after all the accusations, but as the song progresses, he's like hell no, f*ck that. This is my dream, I'm going back to my Plan A, hence entering a new press conference for his comeback.

Basically lucas exposed a nct stalker and this person started to bring him down with things that people still believe are true and paying also others for help her to ruin him. This person still stalk them and now also the new kids, who are literally just kids.
I've long said that sausengs have a profit motive.
that famous sasaeng must be the daughter of someone with big influence in china/sk or sm because they never do anything to stop her even if she's stalked half of nct to unimaginable lengths

Im so ECSTATIC that Lucas is back🤗!! I have missed him for almost 3yrs. I feel so bad that he had to comeback like this, in the end I believe the so-called "fans" let him down 😔. They turned their backs on him. (personal opinion)

I love watching reaction and the fact that you seem to understand why it was a press conference cause something people were definitely confused on that.
Also, I just like to say for the people in the comments, section here, who seem kind of confused, not everyone, but there’s been a handful, here people will be confused on ask them not doing anything and fans bunking things, but not being able to trust them and stuff. I don’t think people understand as entertainment has this habit of making their idols apologize for things, even if they don’t do it, but also, Lucas situation was unique in the fact that he’s also a foreigner I don’t think people understand how much Korean companies care about the general public as in their Korean fan bases, a lot more than protecting their idols, especially when it comes to certain ethnic groups, China, sadly, along with Thailand, which he has to be mixed of, both of those ethnicities are two of the countries that they will not sit there and fight for their idols.
China and Korea has such a vile relationship most of the time and there are so many Korean fans that genuinely complain on a yearly basis about how they wish companies were. They doing foreigners and specifically Chinese foreigners that it’s gotten to the point where it’s genuinely kind of scary. The way that they have sat there and speculate over things even with the new girl group that is rumored to be debuting under entertainment when the trainees that possibly could be debuting were leaked the way some of those Korean fans were talking about the members because , two of them were possibly Chinese were half Chinese and one of them was Japanese was absolutely disgusting dealing with these were teenage girls that we know our trainees and that’s about it. There are a lot of very xenophobic comments from Korean fans when it comes to members from China and the companies. Do not want to sit there and have issues with them.
Great examples of this is even with Everglow they have that one member greet everyone for the new year in the typical ways that you would greet someone during the new year as a Chinese person we do not bow down to people and yet instead of the fans understanding this and seeing no problem with it they got very hostile and not only did they sit there and get mad at her but then they started taking it out on basically every Chinese idol. I don’t think people understand there were people sitting there and trying to attack and come after other Chinese idols because they were like oh they’re too good because they working in Korea but they’re not doing what we do here they’re not conforming to our society, etc. whatever and it was very much so ridiculous and a witch hunt.
A lot of things that were being accused of this man were proven to be false, or had a lot of holes in the allegations and fans were pointing this out but no one wanted to listen. A lot of international fans were just jumping on the bandwagon of hating him. The Korean fans absolutely did not want him in the first place and it got so bad that there were so many Chinese fans, Chinese, American fans and fans that just happened to speak. Mandarin or Cantonese fluently who were trying to sit there and point out consistencies things that made no sense. There were fan sites for him in Korea and China who were trying to defend him because they had his schedule. His schedule was public during this time and a lot of the timeline from the accusers and made no sense . He wouldn’t have been in the place that they said he was but because of how much the Korean fans were pushing for him to be let go of and rumors that they started that has nothing to do with the allegations on top of international fans, jumping on that bandwagon without really looking into it. It caused a lot of issues, so many Chinese fans had to shut down their social media account not just fan account, but like personal accounts because they were being attacked by the fans and some international fans that were like fighting so hard to get this mad Out of NCT and away from the industry and the crazy thing is every single year at the beginning of every year China releases and entire list of celebrities that have done something wrong like legally like they have evidence that they’ve done something wrong people were spreading around rumors that Lucas was going to be on that list or he was he has not been on that list at all since everything happened and it’s interesting to see Since so many people were saying that they were or legal action had been taking against him because of all of the different different allegations but no nothing was.
That’s not even accounting for the fact that fans were able to point out that very same soccer fans he had exposed on bubble a week before the allegations came out was the very same woman who was being tied to the allegations, and the account that made them meaning that the person behind all this was a literal stocker fan that he called out posted up a picture of her and another soccer fan onto a paid for service at hundred thousand of fan saw people then went ahead throughout that entire week and garnished a bunch of videos and pictures of her at airport, Korea and China at band meets at concert it’s like people really sat there found out who this woman was and found out that she had been talking not only him and his group, but also NCT dream when they had first viewed and it felt like the timing was perfect. She gets called out and then she called this giant scandal and of course, with a hell of phobia and people not sitting there and actually trying to find out what was true what was false? It led to all this?
I think it’s actually surprising and amazing that SM entertainment sit there and allow him to come out with a song that’s such a direct answer to everything that happened three years ago in the first place.

It basically boils down to he was young and dumb and made some not so great mistakes and everything just got blown out of proportion. Hating on a human being for stupid mistakes and not even wanting to give him a chance to defend himself or redeem himself. He didn’t deserve what he went through, nobody does. Celebrity or not, he’s still human.
the only mistake he made was not keeping the silence like other idols who are chased by sasaengs, idek if that should be considered a mistake, it shouldnt right, you can't just do all these things behind people's back and be so naturally pure and jolly on camera, like cmon he can't act that way
I'm still not fully sure how I feel about Lucas, but I will say I like the vibe and direction they took with his redebut. Besides the obvious song name, energy-wise he's really embodying like a "raw" anti-hero/rebel/villain, which I think is actually really fresh in the "idol" scene. Of course whether he's innocent or guilty is the controversial part.
My thing is, the ppl who harp on and on about him being “guilty” can never provide anything concrete and never provide irrefutable proof from verifiable sources. it’s always either reddit or just “oomf told me”. I think if there was any hint of truth to what he was accused of Sm would’ve dropped him like expired milk. the fact that they’re standing by him and investing in him as a solo act is proof enough to me. But kpop twitter group think is determined to make him a villain and I guess this is his way of embracing that.
@@KikiX127 there's nothing concrete I agree, but what makes me uncomfortable personally is that SM didn't threat to sue for spreading lies and misinformation like they normally do (SM group stan since like 2011). So my assumption is that at least some aspect of the allegations is true, and they dont want to deal with the mess or revealing exactly which parts are true and which aren't. but I'm also confident that some parts are made up/fabricated, bc thats what bandwagoning is and its inevitable.
Im generally of the innocent-until-proven-guilty mindset, but SM's lack of action is out of character and just creates more questions than answers.
@@KY-jd1nl I’m a longtime NCT fan and they generally haven’t put out those threats publicly wrt NCT members til very recently. They kept making Taeyong apologize until some years later it was revealed he was being extorted by his accuser. Taeyong also chose not to sue. I do know sm also takes legal action privately at times. They could’ve handled this situation much better than they did, I agree.
@@KikiX127 For Taeyong, I understood that it was true he wrote a comment about a classmate. He owned up to it and apologized. SM threatened to sue only in 2020 when someone not involved tried to dig it back up and exaggerate it. Iirc, SM explicitly said theyd sue bc they knew it wasnt the actual person involved (bc they already resolved the situation with them). They also threatened to sue for Chanyeol in 2020. Both of these cases precede Lucas's allegations.
The situation is muddled by some claiming SM is xenophobic (which is prob at least somewhat true), but its no secret that SM likes Lucas. He was a big moneymaker and they even stuck him in SuperM when I think most would agree he doesnt have a standout technical skill (i.e. singing, rapping, dancing) compared with the other members (imho, what he excels in is charisma and aura). And then add onto that the timing of the allegations that came soon after he exposed a sasaeng. Its hazy af, so Im just trying to stay neutral. If only we could go back in time.
@@KY-jd1nleven as much as sm may like him and the money he’s made them, I think if there was any truth to him being an abuser they would’ve cut their losses. But I can appreciate and respect the neutral stance. It’s annoying that almost 3 years later and we still don’t have any solid facts or proof about what truly happened.
