Suzuki has a long heritage in SUV-style vehicles of all kinds, but back in 2013, it wasn't at the forefront of the fashionable trend for so-called 'Crossovers', cars that bring a little extra lifestyle and practicality to the kind of ordinary family hatchback that many families would otherwise have to have. With this SX4 S-Cross, the company aimed to put itself back into play, this car larger and better suited to buying trends of the time than its rarely seen predecessor. Today, there's certainly a place for it for used car buyers shopping in the Qashqai class, but is it worth a place in your garage?

8,000 miles driven in 10 months, my used S-Cross is a dream; comfy, fuel-efficient at 49 mpg, generally, spacious, rugged, gentle to drive, strong on safety and effectiveness, panoramic beauty above, room for tall person sleeping in it; well-hidden, passenger seat moved way forward/sleep diagonally, happy dog in back seat, nice lines, clean, comfy; I love my car in every way. More like a go-cart uphill, but I don't mind. There's only one small, short hill in my usual travels.

I've owned nearly 20 cars and this is by far my favourite, cannot fault it. Seating position, stop start, hill control, cruise, colour rear camera, huge sunroof, leather heated seats, diesel pulls like a train, huge boot space, plus I have the DDIS engine and it's more than enough power.

Is the diesel engine reliable though?

Have the CVT gas version, incredible car, very efficient, pretty sound dampened interior, easy and comfortable to drive. Reliable and good lines on the exterior.
Very happy and very poeased with the purchase would recommend.

In my country this car has the same specs and parts availability as the vitara, but 20-30% cheaper than the vitara, incredible choice that i made.
