    Good to see you Phil glad the new job is working out for you. That said I bought my T8 back in Sep of 2020. Paid 2299.00 plus tax for it and feel that I got the best bike out there. A lot of people complain about the Tektro brakes but I haven't had a bit of problem with them and they have great stopping power. The Fox suspension is what makes this bike. You add a couple of tokens up front and a bigger spacer in the rear and it really makes this bike shine. It's winter here now so my bike is in the basement until next spring. I can't ever see myself upgrading or selling this bike because it's so good. Get a T8 people you won't be sorry.

    Both bikes seem to be built pretty solid. Not going to lie I would probably lean towards the T8, because of that purple and black 👌

    I'm officially a year and a half into my T7, and although I had the lower chainstay brake on me (THANK YOU Bikesonline and Polygon for honoring the warranty!!), and upgraded things like tires, cockpit, seat, and drivetrain over time (just normal wear n' tear - I ride A LOT) the bike has been the ultimate progression from riding a hardtail and going into full suspension before blowing twice as much money on what would have been a similar bike! One of the most important upgrades I did was replacing the rear 2-piston brake with the 4-piston version, and also on both front and rear I swapped out the 180mm rotors for 200's and switched to metallic pads (what a difference at bike parks!!!). Even with the upgrades I still spent less than if I bought a similar bike. The only upgrade left I'm looking forward to at this point is adding some tokens to the rear shock and upgrading the fork to something more progressive/beefy. ... I got a T7 XL based on my wingspan is longer than my height. At times I wished I waited for the T8 (which is more elusive than a white elephant in USA). I’ve upgraded pedals, grips and bars. I’m leaning towards upgrading the fork within the next year. Love the bike though. Cure Cycling & EvanSaga on UA-cam has kept me excited about my T7.

    I bought a t7 in the beginning of 2021, I put a rockshox domain on it, switched out the pads and rotors for something a bit more grabby, changed the bars, grips, pedals, and seat, and it’s been great for the amount of money I have into. Rear wheel went through bearings quick, and the main pivot bearings on the frame also went after about a year and a half but none of that is really a big deal.

    Been riding my T7 since early 2020 and LOVE that bike. I'm a short rider so the size S fits perfect, the bike is still stock apart from the Tires (schwalbe magic mary front and back) and the Brakes (Magura MT Thirty) and I've done a couple of Enduro races with it with no issues whatsoever, AWESOME bike

    Thinking about the T7. I'm about 5'10". I would prefer to go with the 29's over the 27.5's. In your opinion would I be more comfortable with the Large frame or Medium? No shops close to me have these so test riding isn't an option at this time. Thanks.

    Hi.. would u recommend changing T7 29 fork to rockshox revelation or pike ultimate? And changing it to 150mm travel will be ok?

    • @bikesonline
      @bikesonline  Рік тому +1

      Both forks are great upgrades. The Pike is definitely a little smoother but both will be noticeably better than the recon. 150mm would be the MAX we would go

    Got a T8 recently. The Tektro brakes worked fine, but they felt like crap to use. After using my son's bike with Deore brakes, I just went and got some SLX M7120 (I think? The 4 piston caliper ones.) and a 203mm rotor front, kept the 180 rear.
    It made it feel like such a better bike. I recommend it 100% - just get one, and the brakes are fine until you get sick of them and save a few more pennies to put better brakes on it.
    Kind of tempted to try my Boxxers and Fox coil shock on it from my DH bike, but don't want to detract from what the T8 is actually made for - anyone know if this has been tried, and was it successful?
    The rear lockout is redundant, and the front I use rarely enough not to bother, it climbs fine without either.

    • @bikesonline
      @bikesonline  10 місяців тому +1

      27.5 is generally regarded as the more flickable and agile option. 29 is generally regarded as the faster rolling more stable option. Hope this helps!

    • @bikesonline
      @bikesonline  Рік тому

      Personally I think the shock is great. The main reason to upgrade would be if you are doing very long descents where you might need something with a piggy back to help keep it cool like the Rockshox Super Deluxe. On the fork we would say something like a 150mm Rockshox Pike would be good

    I'm weighing on the T7 for the price, but that fox suspension is really drawing me in. I have a 2017 Trek fuel EX 5 that's near bone stock that is unfortunately being built back with modern parts and I just don't have the time to put it back together right now. The polygon will definitely be something I can ride for years to come and upgrade slowly. I want the T8 but my wallet says T7 lol

    • @bikesonline
      @bikesonline  6 місяців тому +1

      They're both a great choice. If you upgrade the fork of a T7 down the line, it'll be right on par with the T8 for the most part with very minor differences.

    Very informative but around 5:15 I had to pause the video just to give my head and ears a break. I I feel as if I've had a bit too much coffee and I haven't had any yet. I know the tight edits and energetic delivery is a common youtube technique (or style?) but occasionally taking a breath or giving a pause allows the viewer/listener to process what is being said. And a bit of modulation in the voice helps combat the monotone drone effect. Otherwise you're making really informative videos and have definitely influenced my decision to purchase a Polygon.

    Only problem I have with the T8 is that it came with Vee Flowsnap tires instead of the Schwalbe as specced. I didnt really like the Vees.
    Other than that, with some volume spacers and basic cockpit tuning, its been an excellent value.

    After about 3 years the last Keurig stopped working ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf initially was able to unblock, however eventually we couldn't fix. That one was a replacement unit sent by the manufacturer after we had problems with our very first Keurig. This works fine (lol, at least for now) however I didn't realize the water reservoir was so much smaller than our prior unit. With 2 people having one or two cups of coffee each morning, it seems like I'm refilling it daily. Otherwise just happy to have the convenience of pod coffee vs. making a morning pot.
