MOTORIZED DRIFT TRIKE HOME BUILD PROJECT.

- We made this drift trike over the Christmas holiday just to see if pipe bender is capable of making different types of bends. Its very limited to what it can do but its good enough for us.
Here's a measurements description of this frame.
Two main pipes that makes up the frame is 65 inches long(165cm)
They were bent 130°degrees at 25 inch mark (64cm)
Foot rests or pegs are 20 inches long (50cm) and were bent 130° degrees at 7 inch(18cm) mark.
Seat support or seat rest pipes are 20 inches each(50cm) and they are bent 90° degrees at 4 inch(10cm) mark. Then they are welded together to form that type of form. Rear handle is made the same way but the length is up to you. Two ears or axle supports are 30 inches long(76cm) and are bent 130° degrees at 10 inch(26cm) mark on each side. All measurements are approximate and can be modified to fit the persons height and length during the build process.

Thanks for checking out our video and glad you liked it. 👍
Me who saw this on TV and are you the guy who loses the um idk cause it's too expensive they say but I think it's 😎 cool
3:25 the amazingg!! squirrel
Amazing drift trike!!!! where can I get that rear go kart parts?
Marco Avila
Go kart parts online are not cheap. Rear axle with tires, bearings, sprocket and brake can run you as much as $400. I took most of these parts off of my go kart that was sitting around collecting dust. Your best bet is to find a rolling chassis go kart and use those parts for your project. That way you can swap them back and forth and you'll have both toys to play with. Good luck bud. 👍
do you have the plans or at least the sizes of everything you use? I have the engine ready, a 420cc Predator
What is the system of Axel? Please tell me if you do not mind
Kid doesnt know how to use an e brake
That's weird right?
Rrright
even not how to drift xD
many yes
fais
That kid is so lucky he has an awesome dad like you
Can I just say, that the, "okay, let's do it again" makes you the coolest dad of all time
thats pretty cool dude
Glad you liked it. heres another video you might enjoy ua-cam.com/video/DsG1o4unrA0/v-deo.html
Thanks for watching.
*I bought this trike so I could play outside with my 3 children. Tricycle **Latest.Bike** is well built and fun to ride. Great purchase overall!*

4:43 how to make handbrake ?
sweet build. the hand brake is a nice touch. never seen a hand brake on a drift trike. I like. 👍
wallys wheels
My brake lines were too short to make a foot brake so I just looped them underneath the seat to the other side and made a hand brake instead. Worked out great. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers.
wallys wheels
balabay77 why did you put the engine behind the wheels
Dat Boi
After watching other people's videos it seemed like a good idea but after building it now I know that it's a design flaw. Engine should be in front of the axle and front tire should be closer to the frame. It's a trial and error project which will help me improve on my next build.
c
I seen that squirel
Hahahaha!
Billy East 1
Billy East *squirrel* I'm sorry I had to
Great build skills. But terrible drift trike demonstrator
Nice video and all but the use of the e brake jeez
i love how its not just the father doing everything...the son helps out to👌👌👌
suh dude
It's nice when kids help out with the project. 👍
Looks great. Its awesome to see your kid helping you out. thats what its all about. Id get a larger rear sprocket though to avoid wearing out the clutch and bogging the engine down from start. It should make it a lot more responsive with more torque available to the wheels when you punch the gas. E-brake is awesome too, and ive seen them on the front pedal. Is it a pain to have one hand on the handle bars and one on the e-brake?
you guys are pros
I really want to make one of these. Good project to weld up with my everlast welder.
If you find dimensions for the framework, please let me know.
the drift trike does not run so fast
Awesome Dad award earned!! I love the brake lever, just like my big wheel from childhood.
I have seen many videos of a motorized drift trike and I am so surprised with all the DIY projects that nobody shows dimensions of how the frame is made. I would love to make one and I have all the parts I need but I am so disenchanted by the lack of information.
3:26 look on the fence :D
lol
Shit you find me
sam smart SQUIRREL!?!?!?!?!
Good video but sound happier when you speak

Great father and son project! That boy will always remember that! Great job guys!
Can someone tell me why he has the steering wheel wrongly
kuba bujan if the steering wheel was right I was have not space... look at the tire it’s too big
OMG,why every kids don't have father like him,great...
i but this for 150$, im from Poland
Awesome build. Glad the boy was in on it...hope you guys are still building!
You did a very nice job on the trike , it's probably better then one you would buy you are very good at mechanics and I love seeing the things you make
Kade Spade
Thanks buddy for being there for us and supporting our projects. We truly appreciate it a lot.
It's awesome seeing the stuff you guys make it always turns out so well
Would have liked to see some of the smaller details like the hand brake and throttle but looks pretty nice
another great job,one of these days i might build one. they remind me of the big wheels we had as kids
roger oconnor
My kid wanted a drift trike to do 360 but this one didn't turn out as I hoped. It drifts but doesn't do 360. I'm guessing bad design and improper weight distribution? It's ok we can always make another one LOL :)
trial and error my friend, plenty of others have built them
roger oconnor
Yes sir, indeed. Maybe one of these days we'll get it right. Cheers.
+balabay77 it sounded to me like the engine is bogging down a little. Maybe it isn't powerful enough?
fghfg
WAU 😨☺ TOP👍
AWESOME WHAT A DAD AWESOME YOUR SON WILL NEVER FORGET THIS
LELAND LEE
Thank you sir for kind words. Hopefully he'll appreciate quality time we spent together working on many of our projects. Cheers mate.
Nice work dad. Nicest one I’ve seen yet.
I would weight the front it probably has 10% front weight distribution
All you heroes saying this kid has no idea how to use a e-brake or hold the drift are just jealous that your father never built you guys anything cool and probably left as soon as you guys were concieved lmao
Should be called drift trike fail or drift trike disappointment
You built a really nice frame !
Hehee! It don't take em long to figure it out.
Nice share.
The sprocket on the axis is to small
Axel*
Yeah my exact thought as well, if it was a bit bigger the Drift trike would probably have a little more power behind it.

When u pup the hand brake don't hold it so long u won't get as much slid in it
He Need to practice a Lot but Nice trike and the squirel has also a guest starring ;)
Kid you have sutch a cool dad That he wants to make me and help you make something like this
Cool video but I wanted to see someone shred it not someone who looks like they never drifted a day in their life
He Drifting Like noob, But thats not drifting -_-
It's way to high and you can't drive the bloody thing
That kid like only painted it didn't help at all in the building process.
Squirrel!!
Nice build but what the hell is the driving supposed to be?
It wouldn't be as cool without the adidas track pants
I'm trying to figure out how to do this project and instead of having this engin, motor, I would use my electric unicycle , just like a go-cart kit for hoverboard but instead for my euc with a engin power of 2000W electric.. I like this project, very interesting, thanks for sharing
This is at McClellan Air Force vase huh??
What size are the rear wheels and tires?
you could take the tires off it and try do a burn out with like rubber tiers
hi i'm brazsilian and... nice drift bike !!!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏
Valeu 👍 já inscrito
i built my own with a 10 hp engine but im still working on it
bruh plz first learn phisics of oversteer please
Maybe you can change the macine with honda grom
Are you spik vith Hungary?
why does your sons haircut looks like a coconut
simply the BEST trike build I've seen on UA-cam. Although, the handlebars are kinda throwing me off so I would suggest that you get the beach cruiser wide/long handlebars. Since you're not doing any major tricking, those would definitely help with the aesthetics and the comfort of the ride even on wide turns. Beautiful build. Congratulations!
Are you guys still using it to this very day?
I would pull the front broke and ad gas
How much did it cost to make the whole thing?
I have 12 years old do you want to be my dad😢
cade os brasileiros nesta bosta hu3 hu3 hu3
Deja Vu
Lucky kid with good father.
bring me one that was great
He pulls on the e-break too much.
Mantap gan ,gaga poda rohoeee
cut the yellow wire from the oil sensor (to the right of the kill switch) and it will prevent the motor from cutting itself off when you turn sharply sometimes
yo wherd you get the 10 inch pvc?
should have used a pitbike motor like a klx 110 motor you would have been spinning out since take off ...... basically zero traction fun
boleh tak saya nak
Time leps plis
Adam Sandler buidling bikes!
bizde nerde boyle baba :D
Would have preferred to turn such a beast like you've made into an like electric one with something like a massive BLDC3000W electric motor and hit up the streets haha be sick
very cool preaching to do some someday even being from Brazil watch many videos from the USA
You don't use a handbrake for drifting... it's called drifting (not breaking) for a reason
Around how much did this cost all up without the motor. Thinking of making one as a project for metalwork at school
Surlyman
This project was cheap to build because I already had parts for it on hand. My son wanted to build a trike so we took the seat, axle with wheels and rear brake caliper off of our go kart. Front fork with handle bars were free. Found several bmx frames on Craigslist in free section. Paid $25 for 2 long pipes (21feet each) and made a frame out of that. The most expensive items will be rear axle with wheels, engine, and seat. Clutch will run you around 40 to 50 bucks.
My project came out to no more then 150 bucks and that's including paint and materials. Your build will be much more expensive unless you find old go kart that you can use for parts. Good luck bud.
i didn't know jake from 2 1/2 men could ride! have fun bro.hey, put a dang mask on when painting, ddaaaaaaadd you know better.
Hello
I'm building a trike as your ..
what kind of pinion clutch mounted? where can I find?
can you give me the internet link?
Who saw squirrel at 3:27 on fence
nice build but 3 bearings on the rear axle... why??? two does the job amazing
nice.. but can you tell me how you put the accelerator cable to the carburetor.. because i think normally these engines do not have a manual asselerator cable.
Valentin Bastgen
Usually the cable is attached to the throttle linkage and not directly to the carburetor. Does your engine have linkage or is it missing? Here's what you need to make your engine run www.ebay.com/itm/201790002591
