wallys wheels My brake lines were too short to make a foot brake so I just looped them underneath the seat to the other side and made a hand brake instead. Worked out great. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers.
Dat Boi After watching other people's videos it seemed like a good idea but after building it now I know that it's a design flaw. Engine should be in front of the axle and front tire should be closer to the frame. It's a trial and error project which will help me improve on my next build.
With lots of practice you too can make awesome welds. Someone suggested to use better quality flux-core wire and i switched to Lincoln electric wire that sells at Home Depot. Now my welds are much better then before. Cheers mate.
roger oconnor My kid wanted a drift trike to do 360 but this one didn't turn out as I hoped. It drifts but doesn't do 360. I'm guessing bad design and improper weight distribution? It's ok we can always make another one LOL :)
dave runner I agree with you Dave. Kids these days are just too lazy and lack motivation but with a little encouragement they can accomplish many things. Thanks for watching and commenting.
You did a very nice job on the trike , it's probably better then one you would buy you are very good at mechanics and I love seeing the things you make
Ayden Goldsberry Thank you sir for supporting our videos and subscribing to our channel. Viewers like you inspire us to make more fun and useful content. We greatly appreciate it. Cheers mate.

Ну наконец то новое видео!Трубогиб отличный инструмент,надо бы купить проект ваще супер получился.Побольше бы таких видосиков Евгений very nice good!
I'm trying to figure out how to do this project and instead of having this engin, motor, I would use my electric unicycle , just like a go-cart kit for hoverboard but instead for my euc with a engin power of 2000W electric.. I like this project, very interesting, thanks for sharing
Looks great. Its awesome to see your kid helping you out. thats what its all about. Id get a larger rear sprocket though to avoid wearing out the clutch and bogging the engine down from start. It should make it a lot more responsive with more torque available to the wheels when you punch the gas. E-brake is awesome too, and ive seen them on the front pedal. Is it a pain to have one hand on the handle bars and one on the e-brake?
I have seen many videos of a motorized drift trike and I am so surprised with all the DIY projects that nobody shows dimensions of how the frame is made. I would love to make one and I have all the parts I need but I am so disenchanted by the lack of information.
Terran Ovnicek Thanks for your suggestion. Actually we installed a 30 series torque converter in this video here ua-cam.com/video/DsG1o4unrA0/v-deo.html Now this trike works much better. Thanks for watching and commenting.
simply the BEST trike build I've seen on UA-cam. Although, the handlebars are kinda throwing me off so I would suggest that you get the beach cruiser wide/long handlebars. Since you're not doing any major tricking, those would definitely help with the aesthetics and the comfort of the ride even on wide turns. Beautiful build. Congratulations! Are you guys still using it to this very day?
great vid man been watching your vids for a while and ive watched just about all of the builds 👍 and there all pretty cool keep up thr good work, what size rear sprocket did u use ?
Crazy ATV rider Here's a link to this engine m.harborfreight.com/65-hp-212cc-ohv-horizontal-shaft-gas-engine-epa-69730.html?Fnot%20provided Good luck bud.
Crazy ATV rider Two stroke is way better and produces more horsepower but they are also much more expensive. Predator engines are 100 dollars whereas 2 stroke engines can run well into thousands depending on CC's and condition. Most kids can't afford it and install these cheap turds on their projects.
You're welcome and thank you. You're doing good job keeping your son busy with these projects :) better than playing video games all day long. how much were your welder? I need to get one too to be able to build more projects.
Roman Kostenko Indeed keeping kids busy and motivated these days is hard. My welder was $170 from HarborFreight. It's not the best quality welder but I've learned is that good flux core wire makes all the difference. Lincoln electric sells awesome wire and it produces great results. I'm sure there are other types of flux core wires out there but so far I'm sticking with this brand.
EmilTheEngineer This was our fist unsuccessful attempt to make a drift trike but I'm hoping that next trike will be much better. It drifts but doesn't do 360 like I hoped it would. Oh well maybe next one will be worth all that effort. Cheers bud.
EmilTheEngineer You're probably right. My next trike will be shorter without the foot pegs but instead I'll attach the pegs to the front fork just like on BMX bikes. Maybe I'll install engine on the side of the rider rather than behind to make it even more compact. We'll see.
cut the yellow wire from the oil sensor (to the right of the kill switch) and it will prevent the motor from cutting itself off when you turn sharply sometimes

*I bought this trike so I could play outside with my 3 children. Tricycle **Latest.Bike** is well built and fun to ride. Great purchase overall!*
Can I just say, that the, "okay, let's do it again" makes you the coolest dad of all time
Great father and son project! That boy will always remember that! Great job guys!
Awesome Dad award earned!! I love the brake lever, just like my big wheel from childhood.
That kid is so lucky he has an awesome dad like you
i love how its not just the father doing everything...the son helps out to👌👌👌
suh dude
It's nice when kids help out with the project. 👍
sweet build. the hand brake is a nice touch. never seen a hand brake on a drift trike. I like. 👍
wallys wheels
My brake lines were too short to make a foot brake so I just looped them underneath the seat to the other side and made a hand brake instead. Worked out great. Thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers.
wallys wheels
balabay77 why did you put the engine behind the wheels
Dat Boi
After watching other people's videos it seemed like a good idea but after building it now I know that it's a design flaw. Engine should be in front of the axle and front tire should be closer to the frame. It's a trial and error project which will help me improve on my next build.

Anyone else notice the the squirrel run across the fence haha very nice video well done
Should be a commercial for Harbor Freight Welder. I wish my welds looked that good with mine.
With lots of practice you too can make awesome welds. Someone suggested to use better quality flux-core wire and i switched to Lincoln electric wire that sells at Home Depot. Now my welds are much better then before. Cheers mate.
Awesome build. Glad the boy was in on it...hope you guys are still building!
another great job,one of these days i might build one. they remind me of the big wheels we had as kids
roger oconnor
My kid wanted a drift trike to do 360 but this one didn't turn out as I hoped. It drifts but doesn't do 360. I'm guessing bad design and improper weight distribution? It's ok we can always make another one LOL :)
trial and error my friend, plenty of others have built them
roger oconnor
Yes sir, indeed. Maybe one of these days we'll get it right. Cheers.
+balabay77 it sounded to me like the engine is bogging down a little. Maybe it isn't powerful enough?

Teaching kids to build things vs sitting on their ass playing video games, Awesome.
dave runner
I agree with you Dave. Kids these days are just too lazy and lack motivation but with a little encouragement they can accomplish many things. Thanks for watching and commenting.

pretty damn sweet, only change i would make is a slightly more torquey motor to get the wheels spinning a bit faster so its easier to break traction!
Zach Brown
We installed a torque converter on it for better and smoother acceleration in this video ua-cam.com/video/DsG1o4unrA0/v-deo.html

You need a bigger sprocket on the back. You're going to burn that clutch up. Other than that, this was an awesome build

nice!
