I understand when Clara says…you feel like you belong! I feel the same way. I feel privileged to be able to be part of this family of truck drivers and very happy that I am blessed to be surrounded by great men who are willing to help and are very respectful and kind. I’m not a long haul driver; I transport wood chips but still, this new career is making me very proud to be part of this fraternity. It might be intimidating at first, but no more. It takes very strong women to do what Clara and Liszt are doing. I clearly don’t have the courage necessary to do that! :) Hats off to you ladies!
I am an Australian Heavy Combination driver myself and most folks only last 6 months in the industry before quitting. It is not lack of money, there is good money to be made. It is the lack of social life, the fatigue on days off you feel where you need a solid days rest to start to feel on a normal level of energy again. It is a harder job than many realise. It is not just steering a wheel like you steer a car. You are always reading traffic and predicting with high accuracy what people are going to do and not do. You are regulated to a high degree with fines that would make a millionaire start to weep. To all brothers and sisters of the road. Safe travels.
Glad for you that you can say the money is good in your country... Here in the USA most Drivers are lucky to average minimum wage....I need to explain than often over one half of the tasks are unpaid...Basically Free but being preformed by the Driver...Pre Trip and Post Trip Inspections..Tires...loading and unloading...Fingerprinting...Breaking down and re-stacking...pallets to please the shipper and receiver....Tarping and un tarping....securing and un securing the loads....spotting trailers ...sweeping out empty trailers.endless waiting to load and unload..and driving deadhead miles... That is why there is this imaginary US Driver Shortage...
As a former safety director for a massive company here in the USA THANK YOU FEMALE TRUCKERS AND ALL TRUCKERS IN GENERAL! This film is amazing, I wish more women became truckers, meet some badass female truckers as a safety director.
Keep God first young lady's and He will protect you and your families ! Amen ! I'm a male trucker that drives In Texas and I put God first and He takes care of me ! And protects me !!! And He will do the same for you to ❤
16:25 I finally understand what would push people into crime. If people could display this empathy in my country, then will we start the journey of healing, growth and liberation.
A recognition and all our respect to all the Mexican Traileras who are an example of life and work although here in Mexico this profession is very dangerous and bad paid.
Respect, much respect to these people doing this job. I have driven truck since 1987 and have racked up millions of miles and have seen everything out there, good and bad. I hope they continue this being safe and able to go home each time they can to their families in a dignified manner.
🤙🏾👍🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽✌🏽😊😎. 🌺🏵🌾🙋🏽♂️
It has been my dreams to get my helicopter pilot license. Trucking for me is just a start to save as much as I can so that I can pay in cash for my flying lessons.
Very eye-opening video of these brave women trying to make a living for their families in a very male dominated career field and dangerous environment.
One young female driver said everything is out of our control. After 40+ years driving the only thing is your health and your truck. Make it as nice and comfortable and efficient as you can like your home because if you are an OTR it is
I personally would like to see more women in trucking. They are more professional and reliable than a lot of the men. They don’t take foolish risks and they know they are carrying the torch for future women
That robbing men's and their police colleagues should be punished worst to protect drivers either it's women or men driver they work to fullfill their needs by some work, and Robbing them is a worst act, government should need to take care of the people on their roads by CCTV, SOS with honest police patrol to stops this scary violence.
Respect for these female truck drivers. They face challenges, including Machismo and safety issues. But they perform as professionals. Gender equality is improving in Mexico, but there is still a long way to go
Bendiciones
Don’t set it up to where us old and diminishing eye sight folk would have to read what seems an interesting docu. It’s 2024 ,voice over, you’ve got CC for the hearing impaired what about those with cataracts eye impairments ?

If you gave me a free truck I wouldnt drive there. Much respect for their raw determination driving knowing at any minute bandits could have them at gun point or worse. Sad but true.
Respect to the truck drivers everywhere. Without them the world would fall apart, pronto!

If I wasn’t flying planes, I’d be driving trucks. Nothing but respect for these women. Great documentary.
It has been my dreams to get my helicopter pilot license. Trucking for me is just a start to save as much as I can so that I can pay in cash for my flying lessons.

There’s no way I’d travel in Mexico as a truck driver without multiple firearms
That’s because you don’t have what it takes

Mexican roads look in very good condition
More reliable ? How is her reliability to her children when she's out on the road? Did the company ask how many men she has slept with?
Hey bbc how about you do a doc about mexican culture or food and our cultural values....
❤❤🎖🎖🏆🏆🏆🏆🎊🎉✨️👍
They should carry big cans of bear spray to protect themselves with if they can't have any guns in the truck.
🇲🇽👍💐🙂
💪💟❤
I enjoyed the documentary. But BBC, please stop with the gender bias. Yes women face hardship but that shouldn’t stop them to get into any industry.
Yes plz influence more women otr truckers cause the money is no good anymore
