Excellent. Can't wait for the next one, custom spec. I'm single so my priorities would definitely be different to a family camper. Shower nah, WC yes etc. Double bed, Nah. Single comfort one yeah. Leave a bit more room for chilling stuff. It's a great venture you're on. I hope the orders keep you in business.
I must say you are doing a cracking job with your furniture it look FANTASTIC. I have been watching many van builds where they are using plywood and then priming and painting then painting and painting then painting again.!! Looks very professional mate.
I did a ply build on my crafter and whilst it was awesome to work with, for it to look good afterwards you’d need a professional painter in, not the wife 🤣😂
Love your work my friend, one thing I noticed, green fuel line !!! change it as soon as, it goes brittle and breaks over time. just trying to help. but loving your build
aa tip to prevent the panel edges blowing out is to mark for cutting then before you cut it , use the square and run the line with a new stanley blade, scoring it a couple of times. then use circular saw to the edge of the stanley blade. little trick i was taught as an apprentice. also good for kitchen worktops etc. cheers nice build
Hi Stu, What a difference a vlog can make, in a good way 😊 Its looking fantastic, if we weren't on the darkside (caravan) 😮 it is defo a way to tempt us over. At your current build rate and taking on customer builds you look like you will need a permanent helping hand. Its great to see someone like you taking a gamble, hope it pays off and good luck, who knows one day you could be building our bespoke van 😀 Take care of yourselves. Looking forward to the next vlog. Paul and Joanne 👍🙂
Thanks guys, already fully booked this year now. As for a permanent helping hand… yes please lol we started off our camping ventures as a wobble boxer, we had great times 👊🏻 but the engine on the front def makes it easier
@VanologyConversions Excellent news for your new business 👏 At the moment, a wobble box suits us, but in the future, we do agree that an inbuilt motor may be the way forward 😀 P S ignore all the crap puns 😅 P and J 👌
Hello Stu ,I'm a moderator on bucking billy rays channel and really enjoy this channel too it's full of good people and comments and your work is bob on mate ,cheers 👍✊
Might be worth just checking on the position of the exhaust as the exhaust should be routed out from under the vehicle since carbon monoxide is lighter than air and has the potential to “pool up” on the underside of the vehicle... Great van build btw 👌
Brilliant loved watching you to work together 👍 it’s all coming together now, can’t wait to see it finished. Keep up the good work you too catch you in the next one 👍
Congratulations on securing a second order campervan build, from small acorns grow big oaks! Thank you for this latest episode Stu it's great to see the progress of this current van conversion, warts and all and for your honesty, it would be easy to edit out any mistakes.
Glad it helped mate 👍🏻 next vid is out today it’s been a manic couple of weeks but will have more time available from now on to get some more detailed vids done
Maybe add an external intake vent for your diesel heater under seat volume? Did you fit a ‘quiet’ diesel heater fuel pump? Remember to add proper gas drop vents from the proper gas locker and under the cooker cupboard. Not just drill some holes, but good bug free drop vents.
Hi mate, I’ve got 4 gas drop vents to fit, two under the bench seat, one in the gas locker and one in the garage 👍🏻 this pump seems a bit noisy to me so I’m going to re position it next time I’m under there
The Green fuel pipe that’s supplied with a lot of these Heaters is prone to fail. Well documented on You Tube and FB. Not suggesting you’ll experience similar issues but it may be worth buying genuine fuel pipe for future builds. Not expensive but could in the long term have you a lot of potential problems
Hi mate, I’ve got the white nylon piping here but this pipe is thicker than what you normally get with the Chinese diesel heaters and the one in my workshop has been mint with it, fingers crossed 🤞🏻 so far so good. I’ve tested the one in the van several times now too 👍🏻
so totally awesome! I hope that I can get my van to be even half that quality! 🙂 To speed up the process of (silicon) caulking (and save the cramping of your hand) - whether for the shower panels or the sikaflexing of windows - have you come across the drill-powered caulking gun attachments (eg made by Tivoly, or DeWalt)? Makes the whole process so much easier and speedier!
Just wondering why you didn't go for a combined water/heating system? I know Truma do one that's a bit pricey but the JP combi (Chinese) appear to have good reviews.
They do but also come with a £300+ postage cost which is a shame as I’d like to test one of those out. A diesel heater is just easy, cheap and efficient 👍🏻
Strangely, I'm a little gutted this build is coming to an end. Looking forward to the next. Sponsored video? Next van on its way from a customer? The business is growing quickly. Heartfelt congratulations to you both. 👍🏻🤟🏼

Every time I watch I’m engrossed with how you do it all and the tips you provide us. I am thinking of taking out the rear bench seats on my AT van that makes up a bed and getting a raised bed and having some lockers fitted underneath. What wood is best to do that sort of thing, don’t mind painting them so doesn’t have to be a wood finish? Any ideas please. Great vlog, looking forward to new van build
Thanks Tony, the first things you’d need to do is find a good anchor point for your bed frame. If your not worried about the finish then I would still use a light weight ply unfinished they are about £80 a board but well worth it 👍🏻

Brilliant video, really enjoyed watching that. Been progressing daughter's relay tonight, got CCTV/ 4 cameras fitted so she stays safe. Your diesel heater has got me thinking as I was going down the truma combi route for both heating and water, very pricey tho. Do you find it best to keep heat/ hot water systems separate? Thanks, Rich.👍
Hi Rich there is a couple of pros in that if one fails the other doesn’t, easier fuel to get hold of and def much cheaper 👍🏻 I like the idea of cctv especially for the ladies 👍🏻
@@VanologyConversions thanks for that. The CCTV is quite easy as they are nearly all 12v systems, just a bit of a battery drain but a good solar panel and battery gets them through the night. 😊
Hi Stuart can I just ask about the portable diesel heater your using in your garage, do you think it'll be suitable/safe to use in a Motorhome? We don’t want a permanent one so thought this looks good. Thanks
Looking good stu, cost will be interesting, see if you come in close to original budget........ Any thoughts on building some some of car port for the winter?
Thanks Kev, I have Gina over budget a little mostly down to it now having a shower and hot water system and under slung tanks. Will be £27k. I did think about it or even a unit possibly. For now this is working the workshop is pretty large 👍🏻

Little tip when using plunge saw.. drop the plunge saw down a couple of millimetres and run it backwards before going for the full cut. Works a treat
Great tip 👍🏻 Didn’t know that and I been a chippy for 20 years lol no kick back?
