Pretty bad ass for a little scooter. I like the household circuit breaker idea to pull max juice from the battery as needed...and the "coasting" part of your switch is a good thing to reduce motor use.

Quite a good piece of kit with the new setup makes it more fun. Two days of summer left that's what I was thinking so I;m getting out while I can but apparently when this rain has cleared early next week it's going to get warmer again I guess time will tell. I got a 350w 36v scooter. I’m thinking of modding the shunt for more top speed . Also going to run 3 4s lipos parallel . What’s the safest way without risking blowing stuff too easily
still got my electric scooter here in the uk had it for 3 years now lol only 350w and it's not very fast but it works for me. and yes it does not do hills well.
I own a bogist c1 pro and wondered if it was possible to upgrade the battery/motor/controller if so do you have any advice on what battery I could use and what parts I would need to complete the upgrade as I'm a little unsure on everything I would need. Thanks

Needs about another 30 cm in the length, and fill the added space with more batteries. Then you’ll have a real-life equivalent of a fictional Drip-Scooter - 55 km/hr top speed. These are known by those not accustomed to them as “volts of terror.”
Hello andy, I'm looking for a bit advice..I've got a mtx33 1500w kit with a 1500w 48v 17.5ah Battery and I'm looking to upgrade the controller that you get with the kit to a sabvaton, I'm just not sure which spec of sabvaton controller would work best for the kit I have ? I tried my C1 Pro out for the first time, only major complaint so far, is; how do I enable cruise control? Also I've found the handlebar too short, what length, would you recommend?
Hold the right brake. Start the scooter. Activate the throttle 3 times. Release the brake, the cruise control icon will flash twice. Then, when you are riding at a constant speed for about 5 seconds, the icon will light up and the cruise control will hold your speed constant. The cruise control will disengage when you activate the brake(s). It will again work when your next speed is constant for 5 seconds again.
I have the same scooter and I am having alot of trouble trying to remove the back wheel in regards to the cable attached I can not find where to disconnect it to give enough length to drop the wheel. Any suggestions would be much appreciated
Hmm, sounds like there's not a lot of slack... you might have to take off the bottom panel and see if you can feed a bit more of the motor wire through. There's 3 motor phase wires which are usually bullet connectors and then a small micro connector for the hall sensors. Worse comes to the worse you can unplug those and then pull out the wheel completely.
looks like a mess, you should also have your brushless controller as close to the motor as possible, you are losing a lot of power due to the inductance of the long wires. and you need much thicker wires for 30A-63A

Running more power to a motor is like running more power to your speakers. You can get better performance on dynamic use, just as speakers on music, but if you run it continuously (just like playing just a tone through a speaker) it will probably blow.
Quite true, although with a speaker you have a maximum deflection for the cone that's part of the speaker design, thats the weak point, with a brushless motor it will actually spin as fast and with as much torque as you throw into it and you are only really limited by its inefficiencies operating outside its design parameters (heat build up and saturation of the coils) I liked the tone analogy.👍🏻
@@andykirby if you no load a motor at high voltage, your only limit is commutator brush sparks on a brushed motor, but adding load, there is a certain point of maximum efficiency, then maximum power, and then after that, adding more load just causes the motor to get hot and output less power, yet input more. I'm interested in the concept of a retro-direct drivetrain for an e-scooter. The concept is that you run two chains and a freewheel with 2 cogs, and 2 cogs on the motor. You figure of 8 one chain in a low ratio (with guide cogs to prevent chain rub), and leave the other chain as usual. where forwards engages a high gear and reverse polarity engages a low gear, and there is a current sensor that reverses the polarity when current gets too high. You are scooting on the flat and you come to a hill. The ratio is 3:1. The motor starts struggling, the polarity reverses and you go into a 5:1 on the figure of 8 chain. Or you can just make it a manual, where the throttle just goes backwards. I see no need for a reverse gear on an e-scooter.

I bought myself a multi meter it all works just can't get it going. Plugged the wrong plug in the other day and had a little fire so melted a few wires but have ordered new ones off eBay. Silly question Andy, But can you link a bafang with a phase runner, Im sure you rigged one up too the vapour you got but im not getting the bafang ultra, Just grabbing the 1000w 48v for now, Only coz i already got a 48v 20ah battery, I do plan on getting the ultra tho, Just the funds are in the way of grabbing the big boy bafang, Still tho the 1000w is a bit of a blower, I will buy a phase runner if it makes the bafang more of a monster, Like i said tho only got 48v battery, But yeah will defo grab a phase runner if it makes the bafang better, Soz for the daft question bro....
You can definitely run a bafang on a phaserunner MT, you would just have to get the phase wires and hall sensor wires wired up correctly. Technically a Phaserunner L10 would be fine but you would need to adapt the bafang wiring harness to the L10 plug, so I don't think that is worth while.
@@fang64 Oh ok, Yeah that seems a lot of hassle, Taking the motor apart is not the road i want to go down, Excuse the pun, I bought a carrera hellcat lmt edition 29er by the way, lol, Its waiting for the bafang motor, I was giong to get a hub motor save few qiud an that, But after seeing the bafang 1000w, I was thinking coz its only 1000w it would be crap, I got a 1600w monster scooter an that only hits 35mph so i was thinking 1000w aint going to be very good, Some of the vids i seen on youtube the bafang motors are blowers, I dont understand tho how the hub 1500w hits the same speed as a bafang 1000w, Is it coz you got use of gears on the back, Also looking at the cyclone 3000w motor aswell, Was told you need to weld a bracket or something, But that cyclone motor allows you to use gears in the middle aswell apparantly, I really cant wait to actually get the motor for my bike, New toy an that, Nice one for pointing out the extra wiring ect, Prob just leave it as it is, The bafang pushes enough torque as it is really for what im using it for, Its only an everyday ride, Not off road crazyness so box standard it is, lol, Cheers yeah....
@@mad-b264 zero need to take apart the motor, you can just use the harness that comes with it, and wire it up to the controller. You can actually get the bafang connector but you still are on the hook for getting it wired right.

@@mad-b264 Well you should find out what you currently have, you mean Mosfet. Your ability to handle peak power is going to depend on 3 things, Battery, Controller, and Motor. Battery limitations, how much current can the BMS (battery management system) of the battery provide (max current) at a given voltage. Controller limitations, the wire gauge (overlooked but important) and wattage limitations of the controllers internals (if your controller is maxes out at 25A at 48v you only get 1200W). Motor is mostly going to be governed by the max phase current it can handle, you can get away with running higher voltages but your current limitation is down to the construction of the motor.

i wonder if a phaserunner would pep up my carerra ebike? i changed the motor controller to a 350w 48v 15a instead of the standard 250w 36v 7a, it has made a world of difference to top speed and acceleration. maybe im near the limits of what my little hub motor has at 23 mph.

Lol Just change the motors Lol. 1800*2. You would have went up that hill if you changed the motors. Also that thing is going to end up getting way too hot
I've got a solar P1 with two motors, the point of this is to show how far you can go with a cheap 1 motor scooter. Also this is a lot lighter than the P1.

Couple of heat transfer pads on the phase runner to the case might be an idea.

I tried it, hasn't got enough low down grunt, the sabvoton is better for that!

do not buy this scooter because you never find any suspension conversion kit, this scooter has poorly suspension design
