Вставка
- Опубліковано 13 жов 2024
- Abalone prepared several ways including sashimi-style, congee, and combined with crabs, clams, and whelks to make a seafood soup.
Abalone are marine snails commonly eaten all over the world. Although mainly farmed in China, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, they are also farmed in Australia, Canada, Chile, France, Iceland, Ireland, Mexico, Namibia, New Zealand, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, and the United States.

There’s something mesmerizing about watching a silent gourmand record the prep, display of, and eating of exotic foods like this. Makes me want to try everything!

FalconUruguay same here
I can't relate. I don't find this appetizing at all. I prefer my beef and pasta thanks. Only seafood I'm willing to eat is Salmon and shrimp only if done correctly. Maybe lobster. But this stuff makes my stomach churn in a bad way. How do you even eat that stuff?
You don’t hear and animal lovers complaining about “how much the abalone is suffering” because it’s not cute.
koreanphood I know right!? a bunch of hypocrites
i hate people like those
Who cares if it's suffering anyways? I mean honestly, this is how we survive. Get the fuck over it you pansies.
Is it weird I'm an animal lover, but I also like meat?
Damien E no, we were meant to eat other animals
Now that is food I can enjoy,,,,,thank you for the inspiration,,,,,it has been a very long time since having seafood soup
Koreans love to eat seafoods as raw.
Ah, they dont eat raw if it has a poison,
of course.
But, u should know one thing that
This eating culture called 'hoi' is a REALLY AMAZING.
U should undergo this incredible thing.
The korean sause, 'cho zang' turns the raw seafood into a artwork.
Fresh, Healthy, Gimothy.
you should take this feelings.
fresh, healthy, 기모띠
Gimothy... 미친 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
영어 잘하시네요
Landstalker i think they mean cured raw
Clean market, delicious cuisines.
Okay now I'm going to Korea.
Can I take the shells home? They're beautiful! Expecially the abalone ones!
Devinalh Traditionally Koreans used those shells to make an accessories and furniture called Chilgi. You can find those in Korea if you are interested in.
and sure! you can take those shells if you want to.
Devinalh it's called Haliotis Tuberculata Lamellosa, you can find them in Adriatic sea, in Croatia for example. When I'm going to Croatia I'm always coming back with full bag of them. They are so beautiful😍😍 but you can find them on the internet I think. Oh and there are other shells from this family like Haliotis Tuberculata Inina or Iris. Love from Poland 😘.
Yes you can, honey lol
Sure. why not
Yes they are. I'm sure you can make jewelry or something out of them.
i’m about to cry cause all of that looks so delicious
엄청싸네...장소가 어딘지 알 수 있을까요??ㅠㅠㅠ
That's amazing! Nothing like the street food in America. The presentation there is awesome!
I love to listen to the overall kitchen sounds while this guy therapeutically slices up dead animals. Please send food to me plz.
Kitsuno T same tho it’s comforting
Wow..seafoods is my favorite...i really want to eat that
woo . que rico . todo la comida marina es delicioso :)
The tank setup has got to be one of the nicest I've seen, fine dining at its best.
My family and I have been Diving for Red Abolone in Northern California for generations. I was wondering how these compare to the larger Reds we have in California? Taste texture etc.
doubt they taste as good as the red abalone on the mendo coast.. these are farmed and anything out of the pacific cold water is much sweeter that warm water mollusks.
Humboldt Rootz i'm from California :D
I just had a big breakfast & now I'm hungry again watching this....ARG!
All I see in this video are Labias. Lots and lots of Labias.
James Howlett finally, someone gets the terminology right
The only thing that's missing is your d.
More like Labias ridden with STDs!
Glad I wasn't the only one! 😂😂
STD-ridden labias a la Paris Hilton/Lindsay Lohan circa 2005
Idk why but I LOVE your channel!!!! New sub!
Wish I had a sharp knife like that
Rahana Mohammed buy a diamond steel sharpening rod they are inexpensive
Reminds me of Seventeen One Fine day picking out the Abalone & cooking them

Да ну вас!)- слюни потекли..! Супер!
이분 영상 댓글은 대부분 외국인이시네...
Estos videos son muy satisfactorios
여기 정확히 위치가 어디예요?
Good...now I'm feel hungry again..
Only one I wouldn't be able to eat is octopuses or squid coz they are remarkably smart.
The rest look soooo yummy
Remarkably delicious too! But I get where you're coming from.
lanebreakerRBH can they do calculus or basic algorithms calculations?
Big octopuses are as smart as dogs but this kind of small ones don't have much intelligence. And squids are just dumb stupid no matter how big they are. Big squids are belicose and do eat each other.
jay96962 😂😂😂😂😂
lanebreakerRBH Yeah I won't eat animals that balance my check either.
Ta ai uma cpisa q eu quero experimentar qnd eu for pra coreia😜
just imagine the very quick pain they feel for like 1/1000th of a second
My Sixth Sense and then realize that you don't care cuz they look good
Wow! awesome! can I know where is this place? is it in Noryanjin?
which stall?
Actually my diet working ... After watching videos like this Im loosing appetite for half day
I always get really hungry when I watch these...and I don't even like seafood! No actually I really hate it
I also lose will to ear for several hours after watching one of these video s.And hihi lol it does help with losing weight
That baked abalone with all of that butter and that big bowl of pho with all of that beautiful seafood nearly made me eat my phone. Good god someone feed me!
Looks delicious but life is hard as a ingredient, your cooked and skinned alive
The abalone (paua) looks bloody amazing!
Wow... how much was that entire meal?
WanderEats Excluding abalone sashimi, usually it costs about 70 USA dollars per one table(4 people). Video said abalone is 9 dollars per 10 each. Cost depends what u want to eat... And If u want to travel to South Korea and wanna eat like that, I’ll strongly recommend you get guide cuz elderly people in that fish market usually can’t say that much English well.
Korea oh korea I want go korea but I no have money😁
😋😋😋😋😋😋 I like seafood
What is the point of the shallow cuts on the abalone before they actually slice them into pieces? Does it help with the texture?
zanzy654 I believe it makes it more tender.
The middle part of the abalone is pretty chewy which is why they did that.
Thanks to both of you! Have been wondering and I assumed but wanted to confirm.
This looks so cool!!!!
I always feel bad for the octopuse cuz hes a smart boi
kenshin 000 Not those ones.
Que rico se ve todo pero más se me antojo ese caldito ya me dio hambre
Yummy.. Abalone.. 😜
This looks crazy delicious 😍😍😍😍
한 상에 몇십만원 넘어보이는데???ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
it’s crazy to see how fresh everything is. if I wanted sushi I would just go to kroger’s. 😂 this is just so much cooler
How tough is it as sushi 🍣?
Chef Rafi's Awesome World young abalone's aren't that tough as sashimi actually. They slide down your throat after a few nice chews. If I'm to compare it to a pinoy delicacy it would be like a perfectly cooked pork isaw, not too rubbery not too soft, they're just a little slimy but tolerable. Haha
Jin Rei Gin interesting. I try not to eat isaw because of the cholesterol. But I can’t say no to chicharon bulaklak!
Nandito kananaman
Chef Rafi's Awesome World guilty pleasure ko po un pero I try to avoid ung mga nasa street and when I do eat I limit myself to a couple of bites. I never liked Chicharon baboy but I admit mejo addictive ung Chicharon bulaklak. Haha
not bad especially since they score it before slicing it. we also do it here in Australia and I would compare it with squid sashimi.
Cómo krahoz comen esas cosas? O tienen boca? V:
Hungry squad 😭😭😭
I loved when the shell popped open as it was cooking
Seller : hi sir want do you Need?
Me : I need a fish. Normal fish plz
В конце супчик просто ням-ням на вид...я бы от такого не отказалась.
츄룹..
tuyệt vời quá bạn ơi
14:37 what's that? Looks kinda like what I imagine the poo-part to look like
Lanka Divore I think it's the part that attaches them to the shell....so in shellfish speak I think you're right
Nikki R ok thx
That's just beyond disgusting😷😷😷😷💩💀
im not gonna lie this looks yummy
under-sized abalone if you did this in th U.S. you would go to jail
Rick Cruz but it is farmed. natural one is very expensive inkorea. natural abalone shell is brown. but farmed is green colour shell because given only sea weed.
빳다 thank you! i didn't know that
its so satisfying
Totally against taking such small abalone. In no way are the species sustainable with a take all practice.
Australia has very strict size and yearly catch numbers with fines in the tens of thousands of dollars for breaches.
Our minimum size makes these look like little babies.
Nick Gillon what you may have in Australia can be totally different in Asia. Asian seas are full of unique species and a huge population. Most Asian countries use their oceans as their livelihoods. To assume they aren't taking care of such a massive source of income is pretty ridiculous
lol that was quite stupid thing you said. All those abalones in the vid are cultured, not gathered from the beaches. So sustainability of abalone population has nothing to do with the amount of abalone consumed, just the prices of them are. And moreover, abalone population is so plenty, not even listed on IUCN categories.
권지원 ㅆㅇㅈ
small abalone dont breed fuck face, they leave the large breeders
Nick Gillon alright... Because in Australia everything is fucking huge. Get some education
I wish I can watch like this x100
광고 겁나 많네....
Topissimo
可惡想吃鮑魚...很久沒吃老婆的鮑魚了...
檢討喔!
tastes like chicken, eh?
random rick not at all. It's more like gooey...sea flavored mushroom. Little bit hard to chew when it's not cooked or overcooked.

Aren’t abalone in the endanger list?!
You do realize that there are farmed ones right?
น่ากินสุดๆ
I could NOT eat any of those!!
R.N.C - hooray! More for me!
Pickled Ginger share some here
Waffle _ nicee
Best eaten raw...sweet tasting...mmmm
These are tiny, you'd receive a massive fine in our country if you were caught taking these sizes from the ocean.
Tahirih McLean only western countries care enough about the ecosystem to make legislations regarding size limits for seafood (fish, mussels, abalone, crab).
Sunny Wong nah bro we have rules too but we also know howbto maintain marine life and farm these in excessive amounts at a time.
They are farmed. The big egg producing specimens are kept separately and not shown here. Why are people so literal?
Don't speak without knowledge. They are most likely cultured.
I am speaking with knowledge? I was simply stating a fact about my country. I was not calling out the makers of this video for anything other than the size of their food
This is making me hungry
