"Do my pieces look fat in this position?"
your analysis are always entertaining and informative but i am a wood-pusher so i do not understand a lot of the time
first time i have ever commented on anything on youtube btw
good luck mate
When the game needs to be stopped because it’s too exciting, always repeat.
He drew by his reputation!
For Hikaru, this was 'the game that got away'. Too bad, but it was a fantastic game to watch anyways.
Kramnik phoned into the arbiter during the Nepo Firouzja game and told the arbiter to check Firouzja shoes for noise. He may have gotten the shoes from Agent 99 and they vibrate sounds to indicate moves. Kramnik says that could be cheating. Arbiter agrees. 🤣
Agamators channel has the Arbiters reply. Wardrobe malfunction
What happened to I'm Ben and you're not.
I know that the chess federation's must be secretly rooting for Hikaru to become WCC. He more than anyone else would bring more first time players to chess, and chess like everything else is about $$$.
He has personality and charisma plus he has a huge stream audience. No question he would be great advertising for chess.
Not too take anything away from GM Liren, but most ppl who don't play chess have probably never heard of him. And he's probably the nicest guy you'll ever meet, but he doesn't create passion for the game, like watching paint dry, it doesn't get you so fired up.
Like Fischer, even those who didn't know what a pawn is have Heard of him. Not saying that Hikaru is like Fischer either in playing strength or personality, but of to the candidates, he comes the closest. He's a character who is also a very good chess player.
They'd be rooting for him if he weren't an American.
I think they'd actually prefer if one of the Indians won. A WC of India vs. China would get the most engagement of anything.
Hikaru is apple pie American energy and he's ours...but yeah. Hikaru brings a lot of exposure to chess already. I'm definitely psyched to see some India players in the WCC.
