Lightning storm never used to damage buildings, he had the right idea to get inside during a storm but the stronghold got vaporized in seconds.

I think I saw the lightning storm one shot the Nidhogg in a different game 😅 It definitely needs a nerf.
Nid and Soo should not take damage from those or much less
Lighting storm doesnt one Shoot Son of Osiris You can actually see 3-4 bolts hitting the Unit.
Its Pure Luck if it kills it.
Nidhogg needs at least 10 hits to die to the lightning.
@@JULIANOPGPR DPS is insane, and area of effect is way more bigger than it shows. Nothing can get away from it.
Don't think it needs a nerf - it's a Mythic Age GP tbf. Maybe give it a longer cooldown and increase the re-use favour cost, but don't nerf it. It is a lightning storm from Zeus to save his chosen people after all, it's gotta be wild.
@@PadtheLad12 So is Son of Osiris. So 2 god powers of the same age, but one LS not only defeats SoO but also destroys your army in one go. Not balanced.
But it goes further becauese it also destroyed the stronghold. So it also destroys your base. Even more unbalanced.
Another reason LS should not do damage to structures (or significantly reduced damage), is because then Earthquake has no reason for existence.
They should be 2 sides of the same coin. One kills buildings and the other kills units. Otherwise there is no strategic choice.

man lightning storm is absolutely crazy, also it's quite ironic SoO's power is lightning but he got totally annihilated by a lightning storm 😅 they need to give him divine protection from all enemy god powers

Those lightning storms were brutal, but hotdoggy95 was devoting a full quarter of his villagers to praying for favor. Had those villagers been collecting resources instead to keep up his army numbers, I feel this match could have gone the other way.

I think it was a mistake too, it's powerfull but the favor cost doesn't seem to justify casting it twice unless it's super effective. And your opponent kind of learns the first time.
28:39 Ra's monuments don't block god powers; only Isis gets that bonus. Back in the day when a single Bolt could kill a Son of Osiris though it was typical for Isis players to keep their Son of Osiris within monument range.

Looks to me that lightning storm and the manticores need a nerf, but IamMagic won so what do I know?
Bit ridiculous the lightning storm can easily kill the Son of Osiris (and the entire army he was with), they are both final age god powers one is unit based and the other is AoE damage. The AoE Damage power should not be able to one shot the single unit power.

@@Yodesla That you can win from completely losing positions, on multiple occasions.
Obviously godpowers are a power spike, but the question is how much. You wouldn't give Flaming Weapons 1000% damage buff, it was decided around 100% was reasonable.
I played a game where I was 200 pop with a SoO and it killed my whole army, SoO and a migold. What other god power can do such a thing with no trade off?
You don't have to commit an army to a fight like Bronze/Flaming weapons or resto, you dont have to commit your whole eco like rag. it's a free win button that has no counter play and as such it needs to be appropriately powered. Example, vs flaming weapons if I have more armoury ups, more production and some forts I can out play it. You cannot out play lightning it just kills everything. Now should it kill something, well yes, but right now it kills far too much.
Also it never one shot units like SoO in previous versions, they removed bolt from being able to one shot him for this very reason. But now Zeus has it back.
The favour gather rate seems to be an issue here too, getting it used on you three times is a little ridiculous.

3:00 Greek start with 4 villagers everyone else starts with 3. Greek is up a full villager for that reason. Hearing you not understand these things makes me vibrate angrily which makes it very difficult for me to see the screen while watching the rest of the video.

@@Yodesla You can recast Son of Osiris (meaning you can also have two of them), which sounds a lot worse to be honest.
