Not much trust in government on the part of Americans.
Our government has been completely captured by corporate interests, and when people hear terms like "world government," it causes a reaction because most people assume the same special interests won't corrupt and control that as well.
We live under a system of corporatism, aka fascism.
The market and industry (banking, corporations, Wall Street, et al) are "free" in the sense that they've been completely deregulated, yet women no longer even have rights to their own reproductive capacities!!
That's fascism whether people wanna face it or not.
Many think all fascism looks like Nazi Germany.
Unfortunately, most Americans have little to no immunity to propaganda or ability to think critically and independently.
Look at how hard it is to get someone to believe the revelations of MMT, even though it makes FAR more sense than the narrative lie.
I mean, the Federal Reserve creates the dollar!! Why would they need them from anyone else?? Of course, we know they don't.
This is how they can increase the military budget by billions every single year or send billions to Ukraine overnight without any need to raise taxes.
The only way in which Federal taxes could be said to fund anything is in the fact that the coercive obligation to pay Federal taxes, and pay them in dollars, is what drives the value of the dollar.
I think these oligarchs are drug addicts and their drugs of choice are wealth and power over others.
Their greed is insatiable and they are never going to stop without a serious intervention on the part of the masses.
But they're masters of subtle social control. They keep us poor, desperate, and divided over the stupid culture war.
And many think the "woke" are the Left, and that's not true.
The woke push the ultimate form of censorship via cancel culture, and (imo at least) no true Leftist supports censorship.
As Noam Chomsky said, "if you don't support speech you dislike, then you don't support free speech. "
