Drogba was too arrogant to admit that ballack was more of a free kick specialist than he was. That does not mean that he wasn't an amazing player but he needed to learn to step back sometimes and allow other players to take the shot.
This is why we didn't win the Champions League, Carling Cup, FA Cup or Premier League that season. Although we had the squad (arguably our best ever) we lacked a leader; Avram Grant was an ice guy but no way would top managers like Mourinho, Conte, Simeone, Ferguson etc allow this incident to happen. His red card insured United an equalizer and we eventually lost out with penalties. 🤦🏾♀️ I didn't eat for days, and it still hurts me to this day.
