How to open ANY Image File in Rawtherapee | Rawtherapee 5.8

Sometimes you just can't open your image files in Rawtherapee, but you can, you just have to input the correct file extensions into Rawtherapee's settings😀

Manu tutorials are made so, that you have to be a quite familar in using the software, but not this one - thanks. .cr3 is checked but none show up in the browser, only the .jpg versions - how do I get the cr3 files to show?

I am hoping you can help me. I am feeling super frustrated because I can’t see any photos I am trying to open in raw therapee 5.8. I just downloaded it and can’t see any photos. I have a canon m50 and loaded my photo file folder direct from the Sd card to my desktop and I can’t see anything. They are cr3 files and I tried to turn on the png viewing like you mentioned. I am so confused and just want to delete the program.

so far i was not able to open any format I added followinf this tutorial: it doesn't open raw from gopros, and now even .tif files, despite being already listed in the parsed extension list, would not show up in the browser. Any solution for opening .tif?

Hey there! Just a quick question, I just started photography only a few weeks ago, now I downloaded Rawtherapee but somehow I am not able to add my pictures to the program. The drag and drop function is not available and I can't seem to find the right video... Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately rawtherapee is a little difficult at first. You can't drag and drop pictures into the program, instead you should navigate to the folder containing your pictures through the rawtherapee interface, then they will show up

I also experience an upload problem, in fact no-upload, with Nikon NEF files from slides which I did scan with a Nikon Coolscan V scanner.

I set up Rawtherapee as instructed in your video, but it doesn't open when I open GIMP. I saw somewhere that GIOM defaults to darktable if you have both installed, which I do, bit darktable doesn't open either when I open a file in GIMP.
