    Thanks for the great review and thanks for visiting! Great meeting you and talking games. The Time Crisis 3 had a bad switch in the gun. It’s fixed now as well as the Abort button on the Rush. Everything is back to 100%.

    The last time my jaw dropped, seeing an arcade was the pinball museum in vegas, and now this. What a feast for the eyes. Thanks for showing this.

      Yeah, I was born in 83 and feel similarly about it. We got to enjoy a world without the internet. I always loved the mystery of what new games would be at the arcade when I show up next. I know I never knew what was coming out. I'd just show up and see Mortal Kombat 2 and be blown away. I found Killer Instinct at the arcade right as it came out and never heard of it before. Not having the games at home was also kind of a perk. Now days everyone has the best version of every game at home but we had to look forward to going to the arcade. I used to save up or do extra chores to make some money to go to the arcade because it was the best place to play the games I loved. The console versions were fine but nowhere near as cool as the big arcade cabinets. I have several at home now, which would have blown my young mind as a kid if I knew I'd have them one day haha.

    Thanks for this video! This is one of my favorite places to visit in Wichita! I remember visiting their first location several times before they moved to this location.

      Thanks for watching! The new location is pretty amazing too. I recorded a video of that one. Mike (one of the owners) really cares about the games and experience. It’s a rare thing to find now days. I wish I lived closer.

    That looks like heaven! 12 bucks is a great price. The closest good retro arcade near me, about 45 mins away is now up to 20 bucks per person and has only about 30 to 40 games. That place did install cup holders on the base just under the deck, which is nice.

    • @KillerArcadeGames
      @KillerArcadeGames  Рік тому +1

      Wow that’s kind of pricey. We don’t have anything like that in San Antonio. It’s crazy since it’s a major and heavily populated city.

      @@KillerArcadeGames Yeah, they started off around $12, but that was a few years ago. They do have more locations popping up around here but they are smaller than the original. Surprised you don't have something similar where you live.

    That is a blast from the past! AMAZING! I especially love how all the games that were relevant to each other were close together. That pinball set up where you can see the board above it was INGENIOUS! I never even thought of that lol Awesome vid, Chris!

    Wow. Even better than expected. My personal biggest nostalgia bomb is that FInal Fight cabinet. I've yet to see one at any "beer-cade" style place. Like any self respecting 90s kid, that was my first beat-em-up and I played the hell out of in a small dark room at the local pizza place with my lawn mowing money.

    @KillerArcadeGames it breaks my heart some places that have arcades that I’ve been to this year only have the kid friendly arcades and not the REAL oldies like MK. The closest to an arcade place I’ve been to was the Joystick Gamebar in downtown Atlanta, Barcade in Manhattan, and Billy’s Midway in New Jersey.

    • @KillerArcadeGames

      I hate the modern arcades, they’re just kiddie casinos.

    The real-life Gameworks arcade in Seattle, which was seen in The Last of Us 2 during Ellie's adventures, closed on December 23 after more than 25 years in business. Although the location plays a minor role in the plot and is used as a backdrop for a more important scene, it is a fan favorite and is considered attractive by both retro and casual players familiar with the Seattle arcade.

    You know I only now realised what is the problem of big arcade places like this. And it is the fact that they are loud as hell. Like, you can't even focus on the game to play it and enjoy your time without been disturbed by echo of the sounds around you. So yeah, having your own arcade cabinet at home or emulating those arcade games on your PC in my opinion is better, because you can play them at home in piece and quiet, focusing on the game. But that is just my opinion on it.
    p.s - and it also saves you money lol

      Sucks to be you, the loud noises didn't distract me from playing the games, I've played it just fine, back in the day. Plus I enjoyed the social aspect of it, unlike today, too many of y'all gamers are very anti-social, cause of online gaming.

    • @KillerArcadeGames
      @KillerArcadeGames  Рік тому +2

      I’ve never heard anyone dislike the loudness, but that’s interesting. I personally dislike when arcades have the games so quiet you can’t hear them. I think they did a good job of equalizing the sound for each game so none were overpowering each other.
